We haven't been here since the started offering hot foods and prepared foods in the cooler. Its a small store but their prices are very competitive with other Asian stores in the area. The owners are so nice and helpful. We ordered 3 kimbaps at 2.50 each are she went straight to the back to make them for us. I liked the addition of fresh cucumber in the kimbaps. I also had some warm veggies pancakes 7.99 for 4. They were packed with an assortment of veggies, so good! Served with some soy sauce and chop sticks. I'll be back just for these but I look for to trying all their banchan which looked so good. They keep adding new prepared foods and they sell out quickly. Today I tried the Spam musubi which is popular, I got the last one. and a bean sprout banchan. Both were good the bean sprouts were slightly spicy. This is our new favorite spot. read more

Stayed in Marina over the weekend and happened to be staying near this awesome little store. Workers were very nice and friendly, the shop had a lot of premade side dishes to choose from! I wanted to try everything! Asked for a kimbap and she made it within 2 minutes fresh and hot! Food was delicious and big portions. Love the banchan selection. Also their kimbap is only $2. One roll is filling and tastes so good. It's a must when going here. The market is really nice for getting some quick necessities. The snack selection is great too. My kids loved picking up goodies while my husband picked out lunch. Oh! Don't for get to pick up a kimchi pancake too. So yummy! read more

This is such a cute Korean market. The elderly couple was so nice and greeted us. Even tho the market was small there was a lot of options. Love all the different variety of Bonchon. I wanted to eat it all. I was able to buy a bunch of snacks! Give it a try and pick up a new snack to try. read more

A true hidden treasure. Stop by and try the homemade gimbap and banchan. Super fresh and super delicious. At $2.50 a roll, the gimbap is the best deal in town. They have a great selection of Korean pantry staples and their handmade mandu are a family favorite in our house. The store is small but mighty and owned by a sweet couple who have clearly put a lot of work and a lot love into their food and their shop. We go weekly to pick up some Korean food goodies and we feel great about supporting a local business owned by good people. read more

What keeps me shopping here is the take out food from jalapeño popper filled with meat, fried chicken with two sauces, mild and spicy seafood pancakes, chop Chae, wide assortment of banchans which are korean side dishes and home made kimchee dumplings. If you're looking for anything Korean food related, this is my favorite spot :) just casually driving by, you might miss it, but it's worth stopping into! It's a cute shop that has everything I would need from banchans, kimchi and even picking up some freshly made kimbab (the best road trip food or snack) The lady who ran the shop was the absolute sweetest. Been coming here years from distance to buy their home made mandu. During the pandemic the price has been going up every time I visit the store which I understand. Buy when they raise the price the quality should be the same but this time it shocking to find out the portion was only half the size. Will not be coming back. read more

I go here for my Kimchi and other banchans. The Ajooma here is so kind and helpful. It is a very small store but it has most of my Korean food needs. I've had Kimchi from the other Korean Markets in town but I keep coming back for theirs. Also they have other things too like korean skin care stuff. I am a sheet mask junkie and It's good to have a place where you can get some sheet mask not so far away or having to keep ordering online. They also some cooked items on the cashier counter which is good for those lazy days that you just dont want to cook. read more

I was a student at CSUMB who lived right up the street from Kim's - I think I went to this market every other day! Kim's is the best market for Korean and other Asian goods in the Marina area. They have cheap and tasty food that's made in the back by the owner's husband (or brother?). My fave: their sushi hand rolls are about $1.50 - made fresh everyday! As a starving college student, I couldn't resist that price - and it tastes SO good! Every time I come to visit, I go out of my way to stop here. The owner is a little cold at first, but she warms up to you when she knows you aren't going to be an annoying customer. I visit about every 4 months or so, and she always welcomes me with a big smile when I come. I highly recommend this hidden gem! read more

Please check your food item expiration date. My boss went and bought a soda and the can showed expired 10/31/15. Almost a whole year! They don't check their shelves for food expiration. Gross! read more

I recently found out that Kim's Market is under new ownership. I checked it out and see what they have changed. I walked in and found that the store has not changed much but then realized that they had some new food to try out. The owner's make rolls, sweet pancakes, and various other side dishes that people can walk in and pick up. I was also told that you can order ahead of time for larger orders or for parties. The owners are Korean and their English is not great but they do understand. I guess you expect that from a Korean market that make great authentic Korean food. I also heard in the near future that they will be making Bento boxes that people can pick up to eat. I will return to check it out later. read more
