The woman was gentle and detail oriented with my gel mani. The mani lasted until it grew out with no chips or defects. I went back this last weekend and got another gel mani and again, they did a great job. A realistic price point of about 50-55 dollars for the gel mani so it makes it more reasonable to visit more often. Highly recommend.

About 45 mins later, someone filled the bowl and started my pedicure and manicure. The pedicure was better than the manicure for SURE. I got a very basic French manicure and it had chipped within an hour of me leaving. And not only chipped, but by the next day, it was basically off on a few nails. I hadn't done anything crazy, soaked my hands, scrubbed, nothing. The pedicure lasted longer, but the nail trim was pretty insufficient as well. Super disappointed with the quality and service.

Exactly a week later 6 nails had popped off. 7 days later 1 more nail popped off. When the nails popped off, I was not doing anything where they should have came off. Baffled. EDIT TO ADD: Not even a week had passed, & two nails have popped off. One was while I was making a bed, & the other, I woke up & the nail was gone..... Easily the worst set of nails I have ever paid for. What a waste of $350 + $30 for tip. I have been here a handful of times now, & each time service gets worse. I don't live in Anchorage anymore, so only stop here due to convenience when I am in town, considering it's right now the road. We booked an appointment for 3 of us, a week in advance. We got there, they started two of us, & I sat in the chair for 30 minutes before they started on my feet, by this time the other two I was with were almost done. One of my biggest peeves is, when they start your manicure while they are doing your pedicure, so you're stretched. Part of the reason I get my toes does is for the relaxation. I had cut my finger nails & toe nails before I left because I like my nails square cut. Both ladies cut my nails again, making them so short that it hurt. The next three days my nails from my feet/hands are sore. Other two people are sore too. When I got home I noticed I had chunks of skin taken out, on my fingers & toes. The lady doing my fingers cut my cuticle with the drill, did not clean the drill, & spooned some stuff on it, not washing anything she touched my open wound with. & the shape of the nails is awful. They are all shaped so different. The paint job is just as bad, & you can see through to the other side of the nails when I'm outside. She did not get the acrylic even close on my thumb, so it looks like I have a week of growth. To say the least, I will no longer go to them for the convenience. We paid $350 for all of us, that's three pedicures, & one manicure. At the end, I didn't even want to correct the lady, as I had sat there from 1pm-4pm. Nails should not take that long. So now I'm stuck with these awful nails. Crazy how much we spend for what we got.

Both Manicure and Pedicure were perfect: she massaged my feet and lower legs, hands, arms and shoulders after a perfect trim and paint. I feel like she gave me extra special service!! Honestly I think it was the best attention to detail I've ever had. And she speaks English which can be a thing at some salons. The pricing seemed similar to lower 48 honestly. I was just so pleased by the service. Her husband also provides massage after 5pm and weekends.

Two days ago, I made an appointment with Tina & had her do a Shellac Manicure on my natural nails. I used to get gels else where, maybe once or twice a year. Gels are alright, but they often end up suffocating my nail bed. When I lived in Seattle, I had my nails done at Top Nail in Queen Anne. They had this shellac nail polish called Cat Eye Shellac. Ironically, I love all things cat eye, so this was a treat! I moved back to Anchorage at the end of August, so I had to find a nail salon that carried Cat Eye Shellac. Not only does Tina carry that line, she has many of the colors I love, and even a few new ones! Tina did an amazing job! I love the colors I ended up choosing. Being able to express myself really lifts my confidence, and Tina helped me with that. I will be back as a regular customer.

I put $15 down to secure my appointment on the app and they said that 15 will be deducted from my total. so $85 in total right? NOPE! I had to pay $97 at the register and it was only THEN that they told me that I need to pay for gel polish that the pedicure lady PUT ON ME WITHOUT ME KNOWING. When I arrived for my appointment I was greeted by Feb who took me to my pedicure chair. She did a wonderful job with my pedicure & I would highly recommend this place. They don't take walk ins so you will have to call & make an appointment. When checking out you will be offered a punch card to reward yourself after so many visits you get a discount which I haven't heard of any other salons doing this. I will definitely be coming back!!

My nails are not even that impressive. But anyhow, my friend wanted me to go with her so I said "sure!, what the heck". I'll point out that for some reason I was not able to check into this nail salon and although I was inside the salon it said I was too far away to check in. I tried checking in from the parking lot to see if that would work and I just had no luck with that either. The salon itself was a decent size and lots of tables and stations for a pedicure. It is very neat and the staff is friendly. My friend and I went in as walk-ins and were pleased that we were able to be attended almost immediately. I went for a manicure. One thing I really liked is that the tables are side by side so it made talking with my friend a lot easier and we were both able to get our nails done at the same time. There were TV's playing "Vampire Diaries" so I guess you can be amused if you like that show :-) I chose to get Shellac polish which is like getting gel nails except as a manicure and supposedly this particular polish stays on longer than regular nail polish. The downside I see to this is that you have to stick your hands in a UV ray machine so that it can settle and dry. I would rate this 3 and a half stars if I could. Honestly the lack of stars is mostly due to the price. Overall this cost me $35 before tip and I while I liked the color and overall experience, it looked like something I could do myself, at home. In the lower 48 I've seen Shellac for $25 and with much neater results. I'll still return to this place and maybe try something different next time. In the mean time, this is 3 1/2 stars mostly due to quality and price.
