I've seen Tim religiously, every two weeks for the last 3 years. He has been out of the country for a while now and when I called today to book an appointment with a different tech I was told they "were busy" and then just flat out told "actually we cannot do your nails, sorryyyyy." I am genuinely confused as to where this comes from and why they refused me. I have always tipped very well- for context I usually would tip $20 on and $80 fill, sometimes $30 if I was more difficult than usual with what I wanted. This is apparently how they treat loyal customers, so I will never be back. Not even if Tim comes back. I am trying a new salon this weekend and will find someone who values loyalty and my business. Looking for places that do good SNS can be difficult when you're used to having it done exactly the same for a long time. This place did ok. Rating a 3 because my SNS was filed too thin in some areas and they charged me $60 for it, not including tip. The nail techs don't really talk to you and it's kind of tightly spaced inside. Decided to get my nails done for the holidays and a friend recommended Celebrity nails. They did such an amazing job and were super friendly. I also got a pedicure and it was so relaxing. I didn't feel as though I was rushed in and out like cattle. They also have so many options for service from sns dips to gel polish, and a full menu they bring out for pedicure options. My sister and I went here for pedicures. We got the hot stone massage, it was not only disappointing, it was also painful. There were a few small, only annoying problems like the girl who did mine was training and not very good at it at all, and that the gel polish was all over the skin of the toe. The main problem though, was that they used a scrub and only rubbed in 2 spots on either side of the leg so it became very painful. We both had this problem and tried to say something but nothing changed. After that the stone massage was really just them rubbing very hot stones in the same 2 spots that they just rubbed raw for 15 min. We wished we could have just left. When my sister said that it was hurting , she was told that it was because she had shaved her legs the day before. Please don't waste your $75 like we did. read more

I went here a month ago for a pedicure and I am not sure that I would return. First off, the prices are astronomical. I was charged $75 for a pedicure. Regular nail polish, nothing fancy. I was advised to get a certain exfoliating package. Ok, I am new in town and trying to find my spot I will try it. I am not sure about their cleanliness. The whole time I was there there was a red towel and the floor, and nobody attempted to pick it up. Then the only time my feet were "exfoliated" she grabbed a purple looking sponge from her cart, scrubbed my soles and returned it back. That's it. Really? If you want the dead skin of your feet removed, go elsewhere. The scrub with the recycled sponge was all she did. I will say, I had an ingrown toenail that she did take care of very well so I will give them that. Furthermore, I like my foot massage. Huge part of the reason why I get pedicures. The lady that gave me my pedicure was basically just rubbing my leg. During an exfoliation part I asked her to massage a bit deeper. First she tried, then she said it was at the end. Fine. Then I got regular polish. She did my polish at least 20 minutes before I finished. Once she finished she said I was good to go. I was given disposable flip flops. With me being SUPER careful, my polish was smudged because it was still wet (unknown to me) within 10 minutes of me leaving the salon. I will add, I didn't try to go back to get it fixed not because I didn't want to, but because with a 6,4 and 2 year old it is hard for me to get away 1) much less return to fix something. My favorite nail place! I had a full set of acrylics done this week and I'm in love! They look so nice, even and smooth! I walked in with no appointment and let me tell you, this place was poppin! They were so busy but they worked me in right away, I didn't even have to wait. The staff was friendly and quiet, it was a relaxing experience. My only complaint (of which the business has no control over) is that some of their clients are SO obnoxious. No one goes in for a little self care to listen to Karen complain about her life and divorce issues. It's supposed to be a relaxing experience. If you get waxed for things like your brows, don't expect privacy. I was drying my nails and the room right across me is a waxing room; the customer was laying down with curtain open as she got her brows waxed--just little awkward for me. I'm new to the whole nail salon thing. I never believed in spending money to get my nails done until recently. My nails break easily so my co workers suggested getting either shellac or SNS nails. I got shellac first in Seattle. I really liked the way it looked, but it started to lift and peel at little after a week. So while I was visiting Anchorage, I decided to get SNS nails. The guy who did my nails (the older gentleman with glasses) was amazing. He was very detailed and did an excellent job with my nails. The only con is the price. $60. Sixty! In Seattle they charge $40 to $50. Shellac nails are $20 to $25 in Seattle. Besides the price I really like this place and will return when I visit Alaska again. read more

Overpriced ($40 for a basic pedi), sloppy job, and poor customer service. After I paid for two pedis today I gave them a punch card I had found in my car (it's been a few years since I've been there). They said, oh -- we only punch on cash payments. I said, it does not say that anywhere on the card. They said, you should have known that from your past appointment, and usually we have a sign up that says that (there was no sign). It's been a few years so I had no idea the punch card was cash only. The customer-oriented thing to do would have been to punch my card and then write "cash only" on it for future reference but no, they shrugged their shoulders and said, "sorry". This, combined with a messy, mediocre pedi, is enough for me to say I won't return. read more

I wish I could rate this 0 but it wouldn't let me. This business is Very unprofessional. The guy doing my nails did a sloppy job and he burned me more than once after I had told him it hurt. He didn't accommodate to what I asked instead he decided to do his own design. I felt as if him and his co workers were talking poorly about me and my friends after I had asked him to fix something. and as for my friend, they told her they could do her design (a French tip) and once it was time to start the design he did it very poorly. The French tip covered half of her nail. After asking for him to fix it, he told her no. I feel as if they were trying to "wing" it and get us out of the shop. The prices he told us were a rip off. My friend and I got very identical designs and mine was much more expensive for no reason. I wouldn't recommend going here. It was a waste of my money and time. read more

I came in today hoping to get an appointment and they started working on my nails right away! I got my Valentine's Day set and pedicure here. I've been a customer for 3 years now! I've been to a few other nail salons between states and this is my go-to. I usually just wait until I come back home just so they can help me. They always take care of me even when they're busy! I've gotten waxing, gel nails, acrylic nails, pedicures, and manicures from them! All came out fantastic, lasted longer than expected, and all of the nail techs apply the nail polish beautifully. They are very consistent. I've had a couple out-of-norm experiences but usually had to do with them being busy or it was something that they could fix! I have no complaints. They remember me every time and are always courteous and polite. If someone had a bad experience here, it probably had to do with customers not speaking up/saying something to correct the issue. They are often busy in the afternoon (it's a great salon with great service), and like any great place, wait times could get long. They very often take walk-ins; appointments aren't necessary because the nail techs DO properly address all clients that walk through the door. I've never made an appointment, and don't recommend making one in the afternoon to avoid disappointment. Service lengths could be long (I plan for 2 hours for a wonderful manicure and pedicure) and walk out feeling like a new person! Anyone complaining of service lengths must not appreciate the good service they are getting. This is a great salon and I will continue to come here even after I PCS. read more

I went here to get acrylic nails done 07/09/2020. Its been a couple months since iv had them done and i tend too bite my nails out of anxiety. I let them know i had sensative nails and the guy doing my nails kept burning me with the nail drill. He ended up switching with another worker there and since then everything was fine. I love the set they did but when it was time to leave my friend that knows lao, told me they were talking crap infront of my face the whole time and laughing about it , if i would have known before. I would have never even considered giving them such a big tip. Great place but they never know who understands their language and they should definetly (in my opinion) work on a more work friendly environment and save there crap talking for after when theres no customers in store.
