Got my nails done here by Kim and after a week and a half; some of my nails the paint chipped off, two nails fell off and the rest of my nails the top popped out where it was impossible to do anything because things kept getting stuck in the gaps. It was hard to shower because my hair was getting caught up in the gaps. It was so so painful and I reached out to kim the owner to come in to get it fixed. She cancelled on me twice and kept ignoring my texts and calls. It was super unprofessional and shady. When I did get through to her she told me to come in at 3. I was already on my way way in and then she text me telling me to come in at 5 because she had booked in other clients! Soooo rude! She lied about going to the doctor! She took on other paying clients instead of trying to resolve my situation because when I came in she was finishing off a client. I was not happy at all!! So I showed up at 5 and she told me I would have to pay for the fixes, refill. I was disgusted by her attitude. I asked her why I should be paying if my nails are already falling off after a week. It's ridiculous! I asked her to just remove them because they were causing me so much pain. She said she will have to charge me for the removal??!! I could not believe this woman! Wow! I told her to just go ahead! So shady! Terrible customer service here! I'd never go back here again! Biggest mistake coming here! Paid $95 dollars for nails that only lasted a week end the extra $10 to remove. Bloody waste of my time and stress! Please girls stay away from this place or you will regret it!! I went in and had Brandy do my acrylic fill and pedicure. The fill was $35 (I guess I was charged $5 for almond shape) and she tried to charge me an extra $3 on top of that for cutting them a bit shorter, but this isn't advertised on their menu and was never told to me before or during the service. When asking where it said that on their menu, Brandy tried arguing me saying, "EVERYWHERE charges extra if you cut nails shorter!!" I have never once encountered this in 8+ years of getting my nails done. The $21 pedicure was over in under 20 minutes did not include callus remover or ANY massage. There's a gap on some nails where the acrylic powder wasn't filled in all the way, and my toes are crooked. She did only 1 color coat and 1 top coat, absolutely NO BASE COAT or second color coat. So, I'm expecting chipping. She seemed to be in a huge rush, didn't ask me what shape I wanted before filing, yanked my hands in and out of the UV lamp, and rushed around. I should note that I was the only one in the salon and when I called, she said she was available "anytime." I learned it was so that she could do someone's manicure who clearly appeared to be a co-owner, employee, or husband/family member. He was moving things around in the shop, I noticed this person also got a freshly wrapped-in-plastic set of sanitized nail tools, which made me realize I got some used/dirty tools that weren't wrapped up. I pray I don't get a fungus infection. When I finished she said nothing, didn't offer me salon sandals, and went to attend to this other person while I was stuck in the chair with the side trays down. No 'thank you' for my business. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. THEY ARE HUNGRY TO UP-CHARGE WITHOUT JUSTIFICATION! read more

I went as a walk-in a day after one awful experience with another nail shop. I was heartbroken and wasn't sure if my nails were strong enough to go through another workup. After consulting Annie about what happened and showing her a picture of what I wanted, it was a go! She waited patiently for me to choose a color. There were so many choices! I was flustered because I am usually indecisive but she assured me that we weren't in any rush. She let me try on a color, and I chose my second choice. She was extremely thorough with every brush stroke and dabs; I found it to be therapeutic! I live in Texas, but I frequent the LA area. My flight was super early in the morning, so I had to be up at midnight to catch it. By the time I got to security, I had painfully broken a nail all the way down to the cuticle and I was miserable. I decided to stop by Kim's to fix it ASAP, even though I was soooo tired. Kim was extremely careful to not cause me any additional pain. She shaped my new nail so perfectly that I decided to have a full set done. Compared to my nail tech in Texas, she was 100 times better. I was in need of a gel mani but my usual spot was completely booked. I found Kim's Nails via Yelp under hot and new business. They are located in the plaza next to the gas station. The interior is small but very clean and organized. I came in on a Sunday afternoon and there were only 2 nail techs there. I waited for about 15 minutes before being seated at the nail station. They are fairly new so the kinks need to be smoothed out. I noticed that they had to call in 2 additional nail techs because there were several customers waiting for service. I do like that they offer a huge selection of gel colors. My nail tech was nice but her skills are a bit below average. The shaping of my nails were decent. While the nail coats were uneven and had streaks. Luckily I chose a neutral color so you can't really see the poor paint job. I don't think I will be back again! I called for an appointment at 530 then something came up and I called to reschedule for 6 and they were so understanding. the entire process was so nice. I got to my appointment and I was the last customer, but they were still so nice and they weren't rushed at all. The person doing my nails was so friendly and funny, I felt like family there and the environment was so welcoming. They were patient as I picked out designs from their huge variety of options. They really wanted my nails to look nice and they really care about the craft of doing nails. The nail job would be sloppy, the artists don't care if they cut you, or it would just be uncomfortable. I speak Vietnamese and I enjoy having a conversation with my nail lady while she does that job on me so that it's not just awkward silence.
