Maria is very heavy handed, was literally filing my skin, and cut my toenails so short. I've never had them this short in my life. Kim's Nails. Terrible experience. On Valentine's day I went in and they said they were short two girls so the manager/ owner I believe told me she would do the callous treatment. She was sloppy. While the bottoms of both feet needed it I did not need it on top of my right foot where she put it. It immediately started to sting!! I learned later they used ACID to get rid of callouses on healthy skin! My foot has missing skin and is bloody. 2 days later might be infected. It's so important to make your customers feel welcomed and comfortable from the moment they walk in and until they walk out the door. Unfortunately that was not the case for me. Because of my nail fungus, I recommended the nail tech put on gloves. Never a problem anywhere else. But when I told this nail tech, her, another technician, and the manager and/or owner all huddled into a corner to talk about it. Then without an explanation, the nail tech moves over to another client. I had to ask what was going on before she explained to me that because her hand was cut, she wouldn't be able to do my pedicure and that someone else would be doing it. It was unprofessional and made me very uncomfortable. And I'm writing all of this before my pedicure has even started. I hope everything else goes well from here on. Continued: the tech that ended up doing my pedicure did a decent job. Nothing mind blowing but not bad either. Still not pleased by how I was treated upon the first few moments of being here but the price was okay ($25) and the outcome was as well. So over getting my nails done, horribly bad, bc of a bunch of good reviews came here a few weeks ago and after the nail tech applied callus remover to my feet, I started to feel the most insane burning sensation, I've ever felt in my entire life! And this is coming from someone that walked on fire with Tony Robbins! I looked down and my toenail had literally fallen off, there's really no bounce back from that! The nail tech was speechless.. First of all, I want to say everyone here was super nice and the facility was very clean. But the manicure I got left something to be desired. My nails were filed and buffed SO much that they are thin and feel weak. In fact, two days after I got a gel manicure, two nails chipped just from me scratching my leg. I didn't really get all the buffing and filing. It was overkill. I really do appreciate the time and attention to the manicure, but I think 1 hour, 15 minutes to do a gel manicure is way too long. I figured time spent around my nails (cuticles, sides, etc.) would be the same as spent on my nails but it's like that was an afterthought. So much stray skin remains. I guess the $35 price tag went to the shoulder massage I got. I wished more time was spent on the hand part of the manicure than a shoulder massage. Also, it's nice to maybe ask the person if they want one instead of just going around to them and starting to do it. I had no idea. read more

I asked for a simple fill in with gel polish and yet that was some how was too difficult my nails were awfully shaped and the paint job was shotty. Visited this salon as my regular salon closed - this one is one block from my house & the reviews were decent. I wish I could give more stars .. my pedicure was not the greatest! ... it was clean & the staff was nice .. but not so sure I'll go back! ... the hunt for a new salon cont *update* I had to come back to update my review .. less than a week & the polish was peeling & lifting! I noticed they don't use this bonding stuff first - not sure if this would make a difference but I haven't ever had my gel polish last less than a week. I went to this nail salon on a Monday night at 6 PM last week with my little sister who is 12. Right when we walked in they asked how they could help us. We told them we would like 1 manicure and 1 full tip set. They looked around at each other and told us we need to make an appointment. soon afterward they said it will be a 30 minute wait. We decided to wait. When we were seated I told the guy I would like tips with acrylic. We huffs and says ok. I ask him to remove the dead skin from around my nail- instead he began to apply acrylic. Not adding tips. When I reminded him he angrily got the tips and began to be rough pulling and pushing my hand while he worked. I then told him I wanted the shape of my nails to be pointy. He cuts me off sayin he already knows. Ok! At the end my nails were round and circular. Not pointy. And painted lumpy and not smooth at all. I ended up paying $50 for this when on the list it said $35. ? He made up some excuse as to why it was $50. As I went to sit in the dryer it was time that they have already closed 7:30. He immediately grabbed his stuff and left. The paint job was rushed, they were rough, and every time one of us asked for something specific they huffed and puffed and said "that's a lot of work" and kept reminding us that "we close at 7:30". This place never fails me. Having a rough day, decided to stop in for a mani/pedi... I needed something to put me on the right track today. Friendly greetings at the door, bright setting, and clean tools (they use an autoclave to sterilize) will always bring me back. I slid into a seat with Julie (aka Ms. Kim!) to start with my manicure. She offered the upsell, at first I was hesitant, but the more I sat and thought about it, I decided to give gel polish a try. She's so quick, very efficient and gentle...I love when I'm able to walk in and receive her services. About 30 mins later, I had a fresh, beautiful, French mani. For my pedicure, I sat down with Eddie, who recognized me even though it's been so long since I've treated myself. Let me tell you, his hands are a little bit of magic! His trigger point work during the massage portion is worthy of any high end massage spa for sure. I usually walk in and roll with whoever is available (Mercy is amazing as well, although I did not see her today), but these two are definitely worth taking the time to schedule appointments with them. I have been to this Salon 3 times and 2 times I allowed a wonderful lady by the name of Kim to do my nails and they were perfect and then the other time someone else did it my nails were thin and horrible! So lesson learnt I will wait on Kim she is the best. They also give u a nice shoulder massage during getting your manicure and those massage chairs while getting your pedicure are so powerful that they will put you to sleep lol. I love the ambiance in the place, they have discount cards that you may receive when you sign up with the receptionist and these gives you discounts and one of the cutest things you can bring your daughter for services too lol no matter how small they are, they have a menu for them. Kim's Nails. The worst customer service. I have been a customer at Kim's Nails for years. There were times when the customer service was okay and sometimes not so good, but nothing to stop me from going there to get my regular pedicures and manicures. However, there comes a time when you have to draw the line. I was there for pedicure, the girl who normally does my pedicure was busy at the time, so I asked the manager if one of the other ladies who seemed unoccupied at the time could do my pedicure. The owner asked this worker; I believe her name was Miriam to assist me, she rudely looked at both of us and replied "no". I was so shocked,at how rude this person was, I literally sat and waited for nearly an hour before I was attended to. Poor customer service. You just lost a faithful customer. read more

I needed a new place for my pedicures and this is it. They were very clean, professional and took their time. I've been sick these past few week so I haven't been able to go back but my pedicure last about a month and a half before chipping and needing to be redone. My gel manicure was great as well.
