If I can give 10 stars, I would in a heart beat . This place is super clean, the staff and owner ( TINA) are super sweet and personable. I went on a weekday, and I will continue to come here now. The owner told me that on the weekends it gets really busy. I'll just make sure to come when no one is there. The nail tech girl ( Pilar ) is amazing. She got down to work right away and she did such a wonderful job. It's not busy in here so she was able to take her time with me. The massage (was the high light of my day, I didn't expect her to go hard and the hot stones were a well needed surprise). For the price, everything you get is amazing., lavender lotion massage, even a honey massage, hot towel and stones. Totally recommend!
Don't think twice and make an appointment. Fantastic place. The quality never failed and I've been coming it this place for couples years every 2-3 weeks for gel manicure. It's lasts doesn't chip, even if you use your hands a lot for work, mine have not cracked or chipped earlier then 2 wks. Better than any other nail salon I've been to and I've been to a fair share of nyc over hyped salons.
This is my second time getting a pedicure from this establishment. The first time I came her I was very happy. And recommend this place to many people and I honestly hope their experience matched my first visit. I don't get pedicure too often as you can see the gap between my visits but I decided to return and to say the least I'm sorry I did. On this go round I brought someone with me today because I raved about this place prior and that was a huge mistake. On this visit my entire pedicure seemed rushed. From the beginning it seemed at the girl didn't know what she was dong, she then got assistance from another female worker. My feet were soaking and it took her about 5-7 minutes to start my process, In between my services on two separate occasions she got up to answer the phone and attend to some other things that I felt could have waited til i was complete. One of the scrubbers fell on the floor. She simply placed it in the water that my feet were in to rinse it off, no form of disinfectant (completely disgusted after that). It also seems as tho the owner only caters to certain customers, but I can say she greets everyone. I can say based off of my experience today I'm unsure if I will be returning to this nail salon. It honestly went from 5 stars to 2 and I only gave 2 because I know the potential this place has.
This is the BEST nail salon I've ever been to. Tina (the owner) pays close attention to each and every customer. She supports her staff and helps them all become expert technicians. All of the technicians are amazing at providing quality experiences. In my experience she made sure that I received top quality nails for my baby shower the next day. Tina and her staff were so generous with their time and attention to my family and I who were getting mani pedis at various times. I could not recommend this place more!
I had a gift certificate to go for a pedicure and decided to also get a gel manicure with Christmas holiday designs. I was not prepared for how wonderful the place would be and how lovely the shop's owner was. Suffice it to say that I have never had a pedicure like this in my entire life. It was so relaxing and the care that was taken on my feet Was amazing. I could not believe that they used honey on my legs and feet. Honey is anti microbial and also is a wonderful moisturizer, they used hot stones to massage my feet and cabs and they also scrubbed my feet with such efficiency that they felt like baby's feet! The gel manicure was also wonderful and allthough there was a little confusion in regards to what design I wanted on my ring finger, they worked it out with no problem at all! I have found my new nail spot and I can't wait to go again. Wonderful!!!

Let me start by saying I do not frequent nail salons, I go maybe once a year, but I needed a spruce up before leaving for vacation and I found this place on Yelp. The atmosphere is very calm and inviting, all the ladies greet you with exuberance, everything is tidy and sanitary... just marvelous. The women are incredibly meticulous about the process of giving you a pedicure, like really take their time to make this a luxurious experience. Pilar and Rosario were excellent, the salon owner Tina was awesome, I'll definitely be back.
I absolutely love the way Jenny did my gel manicure. She was so sweet and patient with me. It took a while for my previous gel manicure to come off, but she didn't rush things or take short cuts that could cause discomfort. She was super gentle with my nails especially after I told her that my nails were sensitive from having gel manicures for a long time. She made sure that each nail shape was perfect and similar to the rest. And her polish job was on point, making sure none of the polish got on my skin. I will definitely be coming back here to see Jenny for my gel manicures!
Beyond satisfied! I finally got the time to use a certificate my boyfriend gave me and now I wonder why I didn't use it sooner! Staff was super polite and patient with me. They assured that every step of the way I was content with the way things looked, from shape to trim to color I was taken into consideration. Also was so surprised by how quick they were able to deliver such great results, I absolutely love them!
We booked two appointments for pedicures after reading some reviews of their COVID protocols on Yelp. We got there 2 mins before the appointment and the ladies were ready and got us started right away. The place was clean, the women were courteous, patient, and professional. For once a nail place did not make me feel like they rather do something else than be there at that time. Their (almost 20 mins) regular massage, hot towel, and hot stone massage are to die for. They are great with men's feet too. Stubbornly got rid of all the callouses on my husband's feet. He thoroughly enjoyed it too. We paid $40 for the pedicure.

By far best pedicure I've ever gotten in my life! The pedicures here are a whole experience and I 100% recommend them! They are definitely on the expensive side, but it is almost to be expected for a salon on Bloomfield Avenue in the heart of Montclair. They do not at all rush through their work. All nail techs take their time and ensure the work is done well. My gel pedicure is well over a month old and still looks great, so I don't mind spending a little extra when it will last! The salon is small, cozy and aesthetically pleasing. They have a no cell phone policy which helps keep the vibe there peaceful and relaxing. I suggest making an appointment to cut down on wait time. read more

I absolutely love the way Jenny did my gel manicure. She was so sweet and patient with me. It took a while for my previous gel manicure to come off, but she didn't rush things or take short cuts that could cause discomfort. She was super gentle with my nails especially after I told her that my nails were sensitive from having gel manicures for a long time. She made sure that each nail shape was perfect and similar to the rest. And her polish job was on point, making sure none of the polish got on my skin. I will definitely be coming back here to see Jenny for my gel manicures! read more

I went in for a regular pedi and gel mani, the staff was very welcoming and nice and the place has a very calming ambiance. I was impressed with the pedicure, she took her time and was attentive to detail (the massage was phenomenal). Jenny did my gel mani, she made sure there were no loose skin or hangnails leftover, and that the nail shape was exactly how I liked it. I'm new to NJ so it was refreshing to be happy with the first nail place I went to. Definitely plan on coming back. read more
Still amazing in 2017! The place still gives A+ service. Tina is still awesome! All the staff are skilled and diligent. Never a feeling of being rushed. Lisa and Evelyn still rock! Will continue to commute from Manhattan back to Nail Fitness :-) Unfortunately nowhere I've tried in Manhattan quite compares to the quality received here, whether you're getting a mani, pedi or gel. It's 2019 & again, consistent 5 star service. This time I brought some skeptics who were quickly convinced 15mins in, that this was their best pedicure ever! Great job Tina & team! Mixed feeling about this place but after thinking all night and day about it I do love it. Came in for a gel manicure. Called ahead to make sure they had availability which I do recommend. They get busy really fast especially after work hours. Took a while to be greeted but they don't greet you until they are ready to deal with you or they will give you the quick "I'll be right with you" type thing. Sat down and had to soak off the gel I had from a previous manicure. Didn't take long. They do not use the sanding machine that makes you feel like they are sanding your nails all the way to your skin. This is what I have learned to love about this place. I have to stop having manicurist using those machines on me because my nails are super weak. All they use are nail filers which is better for your nail. The manicure was very relaxing. They take their time and really out a good effort into painting every corner of your nail and even the tip! Not much people care about the tip of the nail. BUT the only thing I can complain about is that my right hand was in the UV light the whole time she was taking off my gel manicure on my left hand. I would say ten minutes or so. Man it got hot and uncomfortable in that light. Thank gosh I don't go to tanning beds I don't know how people do that. I didn't like that. My palms started sweating and just yuck. Will come back for sure. $40 for the gel manicure, expensive but worth the quality of the manicure. Let's see if it lasts !!!! read more

I visited this business for the first time today and I left so impressed with their service. I've been hesitant to get a good nail session in months because of COVID but finally decided to venture out. The place was clean and folks were friendly. I got a spa pedicure and it was AMAZING! Both the nail tech who did my manicure and pedicure were pleasant and very efficient. I did not feel rushed at all (I hate that happens!) 5/5 experience - highly recommend and I will be back! read more

Gel manis don't last more than a week but they have amazing pedicures. Will keep coming for pedicures only. Still in search of quality gel manicure salon. I've been in search of a thorough nail salon that does gels and I think I found the place. Nail fitness is an adorable shop. They take appt only which I like. That way they'll spend time on your nails so you don't feel rushed. They did the style that I asked for even recommended better colors. I'll def be back. Gels r $40 kind of pricey but if u go once a month it's the same as getting a cheap ass mani that'll last maybe a day read more

I have some positives and some negatives about this nail salon. To start, I get the powder gel manicure or "dip gel." My nail tech left me and I have tried three places prior to coming here, and no where can seem to get it right. Regarding Nail Fitness, they did squeeze me in last notice, so for that I was very appreciative. Secondly, the nail tech shaped my nails great (minus my thumb nail which is super crooked). However, the woman who took my previous nails off, filed them so much that my cuticle skin became raw and by the end of the manicure, three different cuticle beds were bleeding. The whole point of powder gel is so that you don't utilize the UV light. The powder gel manicure is supposed to be much healthier. I've had this issue at a few places - at the end, they put the gel top coat and have you go under the light. I asked my nail tech very nicely to not do this, and do it the correct way with the #4 powder gel top coat, and she agreed. When I got up to leave I heard another customer comment that my nail tech "handled it very nicely." I can only assume they were talking about what I said to her regarding the top coat. Finally at the base of my nails, the powder gel polish is not even, and almost looks as if it is going to start chipping off. I am very disappointed in this salon, because I went off the great reviews they had. read more

My first time here and I was very pleased. Customer service was great, they took me right away and were very courteous. My pedicurist (Eliza? Elizabeth?) paid a lot of attention to detail and was very meticulous. She really cared about quality. Not to mention this place smells wonderful and they take cleanliness and decor very seriously. The bathroom had the window cracked with a candle lit which was a very nice touch. They were very kind to me, and even the basic pedicure (which is what I got) included a lot. No massage but that doesn't bother me. Eliza also really wanted to make sure my nails were dry before I left, and she was correct in her assessment. Often when putting shoes or boots on after a pedicure the big toe ends up loosing polish and getting messed up, but not this time! They also don't push hard with upselling. Loved my experience and looking forward to coming again, especially on another weekday morning at opening. read more
