Rude, confrontational, horrible customer service. The quality of work is ok, prices fair however the customer service is UNACCEPTABLE. Kim needs to show appreciation for customers patronizing her business and express gratitude, and omit defensive attitude. I would much rather pay more in my neighborhood (East Orlando) than deal with this type of service. And I will, moving forward. Waited a week to have 3 dresses shorted and hemmed... and was asked to pay in advance which I thought was unusual. I picked them up today and when I got home realized only two dresses we shortened and hemmed. I immediately called Kim and she said all three were hemmed. I told her who ever hemmed the other two may have overlooked the third dress. After going back and forth with her she agreed to hem the 3rd dress. Not sure if I would ever return to this place for future alteration... the place seems unorganized and I don't appreciate having to argue over a dress that wasn't hemmed even though I already paid her for the alterations. Also... the front entrance way to the door is steep and not very safe to walk on. read more

You get what you pay for. Although pricy, you no question get first class alterations. Just make sure you don't weight fluctuates too much.

Shop decent and welcoming!!! Kim is a solid seamstress! She does really great work. I purchased a dress and it came too short for my liking and she used the long sleeves and added it to my dress bottom and it came out wonderfully. I bought my niece there for her prom dress and she completed the alterations for that. She added rhinestones around the waist along with an appliqué I purchased and it was ok. You could tell where it was added. Not seamless but ok. I would recommend trying her. She does get busy and sometimes especially during prom and wedding seasons. The lady that took in my dress was extremely rude and did not want to follow my instructions on making the dress tighter. She kept wanting to argue me about taking it in smaller because she felt like it was enough but it was not. I'm stuck with going somewhere else. Never again wasted 2 hours of my life. read more

Miss Kim did the measurements to take in my skirt. I tried on the skirt when I returned to receive it. The skirt was still too large. Miss Kim stated that she did not do the alterations and named and pointed to the worker that performed the task. The worker stated that Miss Kim did the markings and she followed it. Anyway after taking the skirt in twice, it still was not corrected by the other worker. Miss Kim became irritated when I stated that I did not have any expertise in alterations and that she was the professional. She got loud and stated that she was not the professional. We went back and forth for about 2 minutes. She did not apogize for her outburst which I thought was not professional. I wished I had the review on her business before this happened. These people are rude and nasty!! I came in to have my sleeve on a dress altered and was told that the fee would be $7 when I returned to pick up the dress up and attempt to process the payment I was told it was a $10 minimum to use your debit card, well I did not have any cash so the cashier proceeded to Charge me $10 plus tax because I didn't have $7 of cash. I brought a roll of fabric to Kim's for making curtains, as I noticed they were pretty busy, so I said I wasn't in a rush and they said they would call me in a week to let me know the price. No phone call after a week, so I called back and they didn't even have a price, surely not started yet. I said clearly how I would want it for the curtains in the store and they asked me again in the phone, gladly they told me the price through the same phone call and no specific day for how long to finish, just asked me to call back. So finally it took them 2 months to finish the whole curtains for one window, they are not that cheap either. Maybe they are mainly doing suits and wedding gowns. They did a good job on the curtains and you can feel they are nice people, but I hope they could take care every single customers equally. read more

THE WORST TAILOR IN ORLANDO. I am a hijabi that had two over sized dresses that was charged $95 for both of the dresses. When I was pinned by one of the women everything including the armpit area and the neckline were fitted perfectly. Upon coming to pick them up a week later not only did one of them have a stain on them, which the woman then responded and pointtd at me, "Not me, You, Wash it with cold water" ( even thought I took them out of a package right before coming in to drp them off" but while I tried them on and the chest armpit area was extremely tight. I respectfully showed and explained to the owner that it was done too tightly and to please have it loosened. She then responded that in that moment it wasnt her that had pinned it and that if thats what i wanted to prevent to have happened that I should've let her know that the armpit area needed to be lower even though this was an oversized dress with a low armpit range. She then told me that I had to pay an additional $15 to have that done and that I was getting a "Deal" because it was my responsibility to have let her know thats what I needed to PREVENT to the tailor who she even stated didnt know how to pin it correctly and that if it were to have been her (the owner) she would have priced me the extra $15. I then explained that I was not going to pay an additional $15 for something that as someone whos profession is not a tailor, I wouldntve known how to prevent it and I was not going to be charged an additional amount for something I am not accountable for and is not an error on my end. She then gave me the dress and said to "have a good day then". THE WORST SERVICE IN ALL OF ORLANDO AND GENUINELY THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED THAT I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE NEGATIVE STAR REVIEW. Definitely the best tailor in Orlando. I was running short on time, so I wasn't able to come into the store to get my bridesmaid dress altered. My boyfriend helped me at home to mark the hem and about an inch to be taken off around the chest, and brought it in for me. Luckily, Kim's Tailors were able to accommodate me, and make the alterations I needed. She's a very experienced tailor and took into consideration the marks we made to make alterations of her own that I didn't even know I needed (keep in mind that she never saw me in-person wearing the dress), all within a day. The dress fit me PERFECTLY. I'm so amazed. If it wasn't for her own alterations, I'm sure I would've been pulling my dress up all throughout the wedding (it's strapless). I wouldn't recommend marking the alterations you need at home, like I did. I got lucky that we marked it correctly. However, it just goes to show you that Kim's Tailors will go above and beyond to service their customers. A++ read more

Kim is very quick on turn around time and if you need her to do it on a tighter time crunch, she make it happen. The sewing job is impeccable. No flaws, you can't see the changes and she fits it to your body the way you want it. It's located in a easy to find Plaza. She's upgraded the inside of her store so there's more fitting rooms, and added nice sofas for customers to sit on. Kim did a great job altering and bustling my wedding dress! My dress was mostly delicate tulle but she did a perfect job.

Kim's shop is by far the most convenient I've ever been to. She hems my pants on a regular and has them done really quick (about an hour or so). The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is because it's fairly expensive for what little is usually done. Besides that, I do recommend this place especially if it's an emergency. read more

Went to Kim's to get some pants hemmed that I had recently bought for work. I chose Kim's due to her close proximity to my work. I walked into Kim's Tailor & Alterations this afternoon with a pair of dress slacks that needed the side seam sewed, as it opened about an inch. She took them from me, and in 3-5 minutes she was done, it looked great, and it was only several dollars. Got another pair of pants that the hem fell out of. Will take those to her. Have always been more than satisfied with Kim's work or any of the women who work with her. Their stitching is better than store bought....by far!!! When they take in a waistline you would never know it. Hems are straight and clean. When they have to cut and remove fabric it is very clean and they blend like stylists. Really good. The absolute most horrible customer service. Kim is rude, impatient and abrupt. I have used her before and will say she does pretty good work, not the best, but ok. However I went today and she had the audacity to tell me my dress was cheap and she doesn't work on cheap clothes. I brought my friend with me and she couldn't believe what she was hearing. After several rude remarks from Kim I did become upset and told her so. I don't care how good the work is, customer service is number one for me. I will NEVER go or refer anyone else to her. She doesn't deserve or appreciate it. She thinks she's doing someone a favor, when actually we are paying for her services. I have never experienced anything like this before. I've gone to Mrs. Kim's Tailors for many years, and during the years when Mrs.Kim was actually on site the work was good - additionally my husband and I were never asked to pay for work in advance, only paying for the job when it was done and had been tried on to ascertain fit and quality. Now that Mrs.Kim's "daughter" runs the location (my last three visits Mrs. Kim has not been there) the quality of work done has gone down considerably. My husband has a pair of chinos that are unwearable because they put the tab back in the back (after altering to make smaller) in such a bad place that the pants hike up into his butt crack making him look like some old age pensioner. Because the work now has to be paid for IN ADVANCE - don't even try to get them to fix their mistakes. This tailor is NO LONGER MY GO TO TAILOR! It should tell you something when they ask you to pay in advance - it usually means that they do not want to be responsible if you are unhappy afterwards. What a shame - from great work to shoddy work in just six years or so - shame on you Mrs. Kim! read more
