Straight forward, fresh and well priced food. The atmosphere was relaxed but lots of energy from the customers.

I was a bit disappointed with this. I had calamari to start and a special "scissor noodles" as a main. I thought the main in particular was sludgy and pretty tasteless. My wife had pad Thai which was almost the same as my "special". Her starter duck spring rolls were admittedly pretty tasty. We got 20% off as we were dining before 6.30pm. (You add text to the comments box when booking.) With the 20% off it was £44 for 3 starters, 3 mains, 2 cokes and a glass of wine. So you can't argue with that. But overall I just wasn't that enthused and it's in a bit of a weird/quiet bit of town. read more

Kin is terrific. I've eaten there three times now and it's amazing every time. On my last visit I had potstickers, the duck spring rolls and a fantastic yellow curry. Other dishes that stand out from past visits are chicken katsu and the pad see ew (sp?) The vibe is very casual and the service is good. Very impressed. First time I was here I had the Indonesian Nasi Goreng, which was yummy. Just like I recall from a previous trip to Bali. I popped in a few days ago and had the Taste of Thai lunch. Wowowowow, they weren't joking when they told me that the Tom Yum Gung soup was going to be spicy...But I truly appreciated that kick because I feel like most restaurants in London tone down the spice, the level of wasabi or kick in Asian restaurants. A nice enough thai place, I would recommend the chicken skewers or duck spring rolls if you are feeling really hungry. Their staff are nice and helpful but i did find my dish a bit spicy but my friends loved their dish. So if you friends love good spicy Thai they will probably love this spot! read more

This place was divine....I popped in for lunch. I think they do a big take-out business but have table service at lunch. We ordered a special--a green papaya salad with soft shell crab. I large portion, bursting with flavors--execution was perfect. Enjoyed a glass of fresh coconut juice with fresh coconut in my glass. Nice seating- great wood floors and tables, friendly service. Its nicely decorated inside. No Thai Teas..so I was disappointed with that. I had the Chicken Katsu, it didn't exactly hit the spot, but it was filling. The Banana Fritters were good, but they literally gave me a spoonful of ice cream with it. I could've eaten it in one bite. Got the chicken pad thai to go. Took about 15 minutes to get my food. The noodles have a very noticeable bouncy chew. It's very different from what I'm used to in NY, but I'm not sure if I liked it or not. It was certainly different. To start with, the service was delightful. The waitress seemed in despair for not having a table available for us right away and woefully asked if waiting for 10 min would be ok. Clean atmosphere and the prices were just right. I got the nasi goreng and it tasted just like my mom's same comfort food. Delivery order. Time between order placement and delivery of food: 1.5 hours. Just paid £3.8 for 3 small veggie dumplings; total rip off. Further, one of the dumplings was entirely ruined after I dipped it into what I thought was dumpling sauce (as it should have been), but what was actually just a large container of the saltiest soy sauce that I've had in ages. I also ordered the Pad See Eiw with vegetables and much to my surprise, I received a tall soup container, the upper 2/3 of which was filled with large cut and somewhat flavorless red and green peppers, and carrots, with a small spattering of cabbage and broccoli, and the lower 1/3 which was filled with thin, Pad Thai noodles. Apparently, the restaurant couldn't be bothered to even combine the ingredients in the dish before sending it out of the door. The dish was also severely lacking a proper distribution of the sauce that makes Pad See Eiw Pad See Eiw, and the end result was a flavorless disappointment. Not impressed. Had my 40th birthday dinner here (over from NYC). One member of the party was vegan so I wanted a place with lots of options that was central enough so everyone could congregate. The food was pretty good - my veggie potstickers were best I ever had - some people weren't as jazzed with their options. But prices were good and the staff were lovely to our party of 9 who were distracted by a reunion after 15 years of me being away. Would definitely come back if in the area. read more

Had the Udon Noodles with Chili Flakes and Chicken. Omg so delicious. Has a nice spicy kick to it with the big udon noodles. The decor is also very nice with brick walls and modern design. Definitely coming here again. read more

Came back to the main restaurant for dinner as a group of four. Staff is super friendly and the food is tasty, sporting an authentic taste with generous amount of chillies. They take booking via their website and Toptable, which is highly recommended because the venue is cosy. read more

Fantastic Asian food at a great price (for London standards anyway)! A variety of Asian dishes - Vietnamese starters, thai noodle dishes, Chinese steam bun sandwiches, udon. Visited this little place with a group of friends after reading so many good reviews. I can say it definitely lived up to the hype. The restaurant itself is clean, welcoming and chilled-out environment, with a great energy. The staff greet you with a smile and joke which helps add to to the atmosphere. All of our meals were served very hot, and were beautiful to look at too. Meals tasted fresh and packed a tonne of flavour. (Note: when they say something is hot, the Mean Hot !) On the downside, I had to ask twice to get water brought to our table due to the 2 members of staff being extremely busy. Would be great to see them supply water jugs and tumblers on the tables, due to the spicyness of some meals! Overall a great dining experience read more

The food is very nice quality but the delivery experience has made this a non-option. Why? They tend to get extremely busy and make mistakes on delivery orders. To make matters worse, it is extremely difficult to get through to someone in order to resolve these mistakes -- which can really ruin a nice delivery night in. read more

I was here in early June, just stopped in for some quick takeout before heading "home" (my airbnb apartment). I got a seafood noodle dish which was actually quite good. I think I was expecting British-Thai (read, watered-down pseudo-Thai), but there was actually plenty of flavor. I will say that the shrimp was a bit lacking quality-wise as it seemed to definitely be farmed and thus flimsy and cheap-looking. I wish I could've tried more dishes, but there's always next time I'm in London. :) read more

Extremely poor service and mediocre food. I've been a customer twice and never intending to go back. Each experience was utterly disappointing. My first visit was for lunch with friends and we only ordered desserts (banana fritters) but had to wait an hour for it. The server did not submit our order to the kitchen until only half an hour after taking our order. We probably wouldn't have received our order if we didn't request to have our order checked. My friend had to leave due to time constraint after waiting for so long. The manager from Kin did not let us cancel her order and scolded us for complaining. On another occasion, I did a takeaway order for collection on the phone for dinner. The server on the phone was struggling to take my order correctly because her English is poor. She got it wrong anyway in the end and I only found out after I reached home and realise she had given me the wrong dish. I called and requested they rectify their mistake and made my trip back to Kin. After receiving my correct order, the server requested that I pay again for the food. Never eating at KIN again! read more
