Wow! I have officially found my favorite coffee shop here in Chandler! Everything was delicious! B had a soy, mint mocha, we shared a fantastic almond/cherry scone and I LOVED my spicy hot chocolate (if you like chocolate with a little heat this will be your jam!) Everyone was attentive and KIND! They truly lived up to their name! Next time I'm going to go for the Cinnamon Swirl (they ran out this morning -it's Christmas Eve-understandable) and I'll probably get the spicy mocha too. Wow! What a cool place in hot hot Phoenix. There's a baked goods happy hour. My salad was super fresh and the size of the various ingredients waz spot on. It is dangerous for me to know how good their baked goods are! They are vegan and so delicious! Their black and white cookie is phenomenal. I am extremely picky when it comes to black and whites, and these ones definitely hit the mark. They also have savory food, salads, overnight oats, all sorts of incredible looking food! I will be trying some of those next time. The staff and the owners were so helpful and kind. They all made sure to talk to me, answer questions, tell me about the shop and to check in with me while I was eating to make sure everything was good. Vegan reviewer here! My boyfriend and I stopped in for the first time after seeing this was an all vegan spot. They have a couple small tables in side as well as shaded seating area in the front. The first thing that caught my eye walking in were the desserts and pastries. They had an assortment of muffins, scones, cinnamon rolls and chocolate dipped goodies like marshmallows and pretzels. The owner Jen greeted us and gave us a tour of the desserts and coffee options. We ended up walking away with a pecan maple scone, pecan cinnamon roll and a 24oz caramel macchiato. We spent $17 for all three items and WOW these are some of the best desserts we've ever had! My boyfriend hates scones and the sweet icing and hidden pecans in the moist pastry converted him to appreciate them. Coffee was quickly made and delicious, not too sweet and you could taste the freshly ground ORGANIC espresso beans. $5.50 for a 24 oz coffee? Yes please. I love the concept and the coffee. The world can use more coffee and companies that have a focus on kindness and truly providing a service that feels that kindness is one of their core values. The lemon cookie was soft and delicious and my mint mocha came out perfect. This is a welcome addition to this neighborhood. I talked to the staff a little bit and had a really fun time while they told me about the concept. The business is located in a strip mall right in between Panda Express and Subway. My husband and I came here because we had a meeting with someone. The ladies who worked at the counter were so friendly and walked us through the menu. I was surprised to see all the vegetarian/vegan breakfast options and the baked goods seemed yummy too. Since we were there for a meeting, we didn't order anything to eat and just had coffees. They have a peanut chocolate dessert pastry thing that is absolutely amazing I thought but was going to be dry but it had a very nice soft crunch was moist on the inside and didn't over power you with any of the ingredients everything was subtle yet was such a good combination. Nice little coffee shop. It has sweets and pastries, too. When I went in, a gentleman named Clay explained their menu and options to me. He was nice and seemed kind - which I guess is their namesake - but it was appreciated that he was patient enough to do so and provided such genuine customer service. That's very rare now a days. Overall - it was a good experience. Very good coffee. Didn't try the treats, but I'm sure they're tasty, too. One negative, they are priced a little higher than I was expecting - two drinks was $15 - that's just too much. I mean, maybe they're a smaller shop and just trying to stay afloat - but, if they were to lower their prices a little, to where I could walk outta there with two drinks for $10 - then this place would be a routine pit stop for me. (And would probably attract a LOT more business.) But as is - its just a once in a while special occasion for now. read more

The food here is so delicious I can't actually believe it's vegan! I've tried the different bruschettas that are available and it's awesome that they allow you to pick 2 or 4 for a reasonable price! The avocado one and the cheese and peppers would probably have to be my favorite. The drinks are delicious here too my favorite would have to be the coconut lavender lemonade that they have! Inside is such a cute little atmosphere too! Stopped by The Kind Bean the Friday before Labor Day because I got of work early. I live in North East Phoenix but I work in Tempe so this place is not the easiest for me to patronize. I got a chance to try the swirled gelato, the bananas foster and cheeze + peppers toasts and a black and white cookie. Everything was tasty and the counter person was really nice. I stopped in 45 minutes before closing and the staff were genuinely friendly. It's obvious they take pride in their coffee and educated my sister and I on the entire menu. Admittedly, Starbucks is my usual go-to for coffee primarily because of convenience and lack of other options in STV/Queen Creek; if I lived in Chandler, I'd probably visit Kind Bean every day. I ordered Nitro Mezzanotte Cold Brew with almond milk, unsweetened, and BOGO chocolate chip cookies. I don't have much of a sweet tooth (hence the unsweetened cold brew) but it's hard to pass up a good vegan cookie. They're huge so I took a few bites and saved the rest for later. Today my first visit this morning and man, am I impressed! The shop is really clean and nicely decorated which I can appreciate. Not every local coffee shop is as collected as this one is. Everything looked professional from their menu signs to their logo. Their dirty chai is fairly priced and it's always a plus when they offer a variety of alternative milk (I love chai with soy but they also have almond and coconut milk). My drink was creamy and delicious! When the cashier rang me up he mentioned their treats were all vegan. I didn't want one because they were but I'm down to try new things and I'm glad I did! The scone was light and chewy, just the right amount of sweetness and was in love with first bite! I'm a sucker for scones so I chose the lemon lavender which was so good I did my little happy dance :p I'm assuming the man was Clay, the owner and he was super friendly and informative after asking if this was our first time here. My boyfriend is not a big coffee drinker but still had questions about the menu where Clay was ever so kind to answer them. I'm looking forward to trying an affogato sometime and excited about taking a growler of nitro brew home later on. This is my GoTo coffee shop. They have by far the Best coffee's and pastries I have ever seen. The owners and their staff put Kind into Kindness. Every time I enter their establishment I am greeted like an old friend. The selection of all things edible is always first class. And to top it off, every Friday and Saturday they offer a Gluten free option and it is Always over the top. If you have not tried this location you are missing out. Well...the scone was pretty good but proud at $4 58., 4 stars BUT, No Wi-Fi on the patio and no tables available on the inside. Owner acknowledged that it's a problem but says hes a "small business." Yup so are the numerous other coffee shops in the area that have managed to provide Internet on the patio. And I don't need to point out that pretty much everywhere else has made their bathrooms available to the public at this point. Going to leave at a 3 star review but not going to return nor recommend. The roasted red pepper toast was also quite good, although I would try another one next time. Some guy in the shop was raving about their scones and I wish I tried one.
