My girlfriend used to live in Arizona and always came here for her coffee and treats! She moved back to New York and always told me she wishes that they were in New York. Well now I got to try the infamous kind bean and wow I'm impressed! Drinks are perfectly made! My girlfriend always gets lavender almond iced coffee. I don't like coffee so I got a strawberry fruit drink that wasn't too sweet or bland. It was perfect. We also got burritos, joe burrito and green Chile burrito. Honestly I'm a broken record here but amazing flavor! And lastly we had the lemon scones. I hate anything lemon flavor and my girlfriend made me try and I ended up eating the whole thing lmao. I went there this morning at 7:30am, rush hour in the coffee world and there were 4 employees, but, only one girl who was greeting everyone that walked in, taking in person orders (at one time there were 7 people in the store) and making the coffee for all of the online orders. She asked each of the other girls multiple times for help in a kind and professional way saying she was overwhelmed and finally when someone actually came out to help her all they did was apologize and say, "I'm sorry, we are training". They are seriously kind, sweet, nice people that really go out of their way to provide you the best customer service I've experienced in a long time. Coffee is amazing and so are the treats. Absolutely adorable spot with yummy coffee and treats. I stopped in to do a little work while my dog was at the groomer across the way. Locally owned by some kind beings that are obviously animal lovers. I had a dirty chai that was excellent and a coffee cake muffin that was heavenly (I almost licked the plate!). I finally got to come after hearing so many good words about this place from the vegan community! They truly deserve all the 5 stars! I enjoy the simple, yet detailed interior. Customers can tell the owners put a lot of work in the theme and decorations. The establishment is clean and welcoming. The owners are very sincere, they always address customers by their names, even when this was my first time there. I had their Tomato Basil and BBQ kidney beans toasts. Both are fresh and delicious. All of their coffee/ drinks can be made by the choice of almond/coconut/soy milk. All of their pastries are vegan. I stopped in here in here with a friend of mine before our downtown Phoenix weekend outing. I ordered a cinnamon roll, an iced chai, and she got a hot coffee. I asked for the cinnamon roll that was sitting in the cold display case to be heated up in the microwave for 1 minute and the employees looked at me like I was from another planet. I was told that they have industrial equipment and heating up for a minute would make it extremely hot. They ended up putting it in for 30 seconds and it was lukewarm at best; I don't like cold sweets and that was why I asked for a minute nuke. I found it hard to reconcile that they were concerned about cinnamon roll temperature but served a coffee at what seemed like 500 degrees. Kind Bean, am I right!? I was introduced to this place by a friend and have not stopped going back. The staff here is excellent! I can't get over how they remembered MY NAME the second time I walk inside. Seriously some customer service and made me feel like I belonged. On that second trip I was introduced to their scones... game over. I was told they have over 40 scone options and I try to get a new one every time and have yet to be remotely disappointed. It truly is a pleasure to get to try a new one. The coffee here is A+ I usually just get an iced nitro coffee and it is great. My only request would be offering a larger nitro coffee option for us caffeine freaks although it gets me goin. An iced coffee would be great addition as well. Overall, I love this place. This is a wonderful coffee shop. My son and I went here on Christmas Eve day and had coffee and pastries (they had lots of different flavored cinnamon rolls, and many other pastries) . We were greeted, helped with choosing a coffee (they had lots of different coffee drinks to choose from) and then sat and ate while watching everyone else coming in being greeted by name! Kind Bean is my favorite coffee spot in the southeast valley. I came across it on Facebook and since it was so close to home I decided to check it out since I prefer to support locally owned businesses. Clay and Jen, the owners, are the nicest people! All of the staff is awesome. I've been going to KB for several months now, and have been bringing friends and family because it is too good not to share. I'm there every Saturday and am always greeted by name. Aiden, Alec and Bobbie are so sweet, and Clay and Jen always say hello. The décor is clean and cool, and there is always great music playing. Now, to the fare. I have not had a coffee drink there yet, I am sad to say, but I regularly have their iced teas which are delicious. They can sweeten them for you with simple syrups or flavored, as well as sugar free options. During the summer they have two teas offered, one decaf and one regular. Wildflower Black and Blue is my favorite. Everything they make/serve at KB is organic and vegan. They do all their own baking and have several varieties of scones, muffins, cookies and spirals daily, including some gluten free options. Their cinnamon spirals are my absolute favorite (like a cinnamon roll). They also have several varieties of toasts, both savory and sweet. Their avocado toast is delicious and their bananas foster toast is amazing. They bake their own bread for the toasts, too. Finally, they make their own chocolates. There is no limit to KB (well, except for that whole vegan thing ...). They also have a cold case with some pre-made meals, breakfasts like oatmeal, and soups and salads. In the summer they have soft serve ice cream that you can even have mixed into your coffee drinks. On the third Saturday of each month there is a classic car show outside of KB in the morning - usually anywhere from 6-12 cars. It's just a nice, fun local gathering. We've seen some cool cars. All in all, Kind Bean is a great place for a laid back Saturday breakfast/brunch, or a coffee/snack pick up any day of the week (except for Sundays when they are closed). I settled on a peanut butter and chocolate scone and a latte. The scone was brilliant--a bit moister than I was expecting with gooey drizzles of chocolate and caramel. The coffee was solid. Randomly tried this place and was not disappointed! Had a scone, muffin, mocha cooler (blended drink), and iced americano. The baked goodies were AMAZING. Super yummy, moist, and very flavorful! Great quick breakfast! Americano was robust and just what I needed in the morning. My sister loved the cooler! Sat outside on the covered patio and it was very nice!
