This is my daughter's favorite Thai food in Vancouver, she always gets the chicken pad Thai and is always smiling. I got the coconut red curry with medium heat & it was delicious, spice was perfect, there was a sweetness also. I will be back to get the same dish again.

The food is always great. The service is always friendly and fast. I usually get my stuff ti go but the inside is very nice and well decorated. Would definitely reccomend love that i have a good restaurant close to the house.

Went again today and still stellar!! Service is great. Restaurant is clean. Finally remembered a photo of the bbq chicken. I have to get it every time I go! Will often split it with the fam like an appetizer

We ordered the Tom kha soup with tofu and it was delicious. I love it with seafood but since my partner has a shellfish allergy I ordered it with tofu. It was rich, creamy, garlicky, and had the perfect taste of lemongrass and galangal. We also tried the crispy duck which was great but the rest of the dish was disappointing. It had a translucent sauce which was weird I didn't know if it was from the vegetables or if it was meant to be like a gravy. The veggies in all the dishes don't taste fresh or that flavorful. The pad see ew and pad Thai were delicious but needed some spice even though we ordered at the spiciest. The noodles and sauce from the pad see ew were tasty! The service is great. I am glad they are able to accommodate for allergies.

Friends brought us here as they live nearby & it's their favorite Thai place. I love tom yum & saw that they have it in a noodle soup. My boyfriend got the kindee bbq chicken as it said it was a "must try" & not something you commonly see at that restaurants. Food came quickly. The broth was so flavorful & came with seafood & chicken. I never know what I'm gonna get when I say medium spice, but this was the perfect sour & spice balance. I'm usually not one to drink the broth of things, but this one was real good. That chicken though, the marinade is so good. it says "secret sauce", so I guess we'll never know. Nice & juicy & it's half a chicken so it's a good size serving. We ended the meal with some mango sticky rice which came with half a mango & 2 scoops of ube ice cream. Know that it is seasonal when mango is available, so get it while you can. You won't regret it.

    Pad Thai was delicious...

Never a bad dish. Very tasty and authentic. Hits the spot when looking for something Asian but not the usual Chinese.

Unfortunately we found chewed up gum in our food, this ruined our entire meal and I can't imagine that I could eat here again.

I've been wanting to try Thai Orchid for a while now. Anytime I ask someone for Thai food…read morerecommendations in Vancouver this place is always brought up! Not just for Thai, but for sushi as well. So it was finally time to dive into our list of recommendations and hit up TO! The space is set up nicely, decor and ambience is definitely there. 4/5 for ambience. Service was a bit slow though, they had my server running between a big party in the back and us in the front. We ended up asking different runners/bussers for things and they got our server for us every time. 2/5 for service. Now onto the good part! Tom Kha Soup 3/5 - 5 spice (spiciest option) which came out pretty quickly. We ordered the rest of our dishes based off the spice of the soup. Soup was not spicy, maybe the tiniest little kick. Definitely felt like a 1 so we ordered the rest of our dishes in a 5 as well. Soup was pretty standard, good flavor. Shrimp were big and bouncy, mussels were plump, squid and scallops were tender. Peek Gai Tod 1/5 - Thai style chicken wings tossed in spicy basil sauce. Chicken was cooked fine but the sauce was utterly disappointing. It looked so sticky and promising but ultimately tasted like unseasoned chicken. There was no indication that this was a spicy basil sauce whatsoever. I even asked my fiancé multiple times what the sauce was supposed to be since he chose this dish but he couldn't tell me either. Pad Ga Prow 2/5 - This is our all time favorite Thai dish so we HAVE to get it whenever we get Thai! This one was a bit disappointing. First off, the color was way off, this was so light! Definitely didn't have that yummy wok charred flavor. Spice isn't consistent here, a 5 on this dish was extreme. I'm a ghost pepper salsa kinda gal but this went past that. Felt like a 7/5 in spice. Gaeng Ped Dang 2/5 - Thai red curry with chicken, eggplant, bell peppers, and bamboo shoots. Ordered a 5 spice on Thai dish and it came out more like a 2. Curry flavor was good, vegetables were way overcooked and pretty mush. I'm not even sure what the spice scale is anymore at this point. Crab Fried Rice 1/5 - There was peas and carrots in the fried rice.. peas and carrots do not belong in fried rice, especially Thai fried rice. Rice was mushy, and crab was disappointing. It was literally so shredded and sewn into the dish that you couldn't really tell if there was crab or not. For $25 give me some actual crab pieces. Fried rice is literally the highest profit margin food on a menu. Spice on this felt like a 3. Thai Tea 4/5 - Wasn't too sweet, best thing I had the entire meal. We probably won't be back. I rate this a very low 2 or a very high 1.

I have to say the food was really good. We had the curry puffs, which were flaky, hot and delicious! The portions were big enough, but according to all of the reviews, people think it is a small portion, but it is not a small portion we had to take a third of our rice and a third of our pad Thai home The only negative, is the frozen mixed vegetables. Fresh onions and fresh cilantro, but bagged up frozen peas corn and carrots. Go check this place out!

We also ordered an app of crispy egg rolls. Both dishes were freshly prepared and ample. The egg rolls were very slim and a little over priced at $8.00 for 4. The total bill came to $46. before tip. We started with a couple Thai mules which were made with a spicy and delicious ginger beer. The food was good, and tasted fresh. The chicken satay was a bit dry, but the curry flavor was perfect and the peanut dipping sauce helped give it a bit of moisture. I feel like the prices were a bit steep. We only ordered one non-alcoholic beverage and 4 appetizers, and the bill was just shy of $80, with tip.
