I figured it was time to update my review. I've found my favorite dish, Simple Noodles with chicken, and find myself craving it once a month or so. One thing annoying about it though is the spice is never consistent and I've probably had it 10 times so I have sampled the dish enough to say that. I'm afraid to order anything more than mild because I've had it quite spicy when I asked for mild. Other times I ask for mild and it has the spice you would put in a child's dish. They also bring water to your table with a lemon in it. Maybe it is to cover the chlorine flavor, but I'd prefer filtered city water for the cost of their lemons. read more

I don't come here often but whenever I'm craving the silver noodle salad or fresh salad rolls, coming here is a must. The silver noodles reminds me of laab in a lot of ways. I love the food while sitting down in the restaurant but mainly been ordering food to-go. The food and staff are always really good. The way they pack their to go's is also very flawless, if you are not dining at home and need utensils and napkins, you may need to let them know. There were no utensils or napkins in my bag. But luckily I ate at home. Will come back again when I'm craving their peanut sauce and seafood noodle salad. read more

Good Thai food and attentive service. I ordered the Pad Basil, and it was good, but not great. It was a little bland and in great need of a little seasoning. Once a little salt was added, the flavors opened up a bit. Service was great. Fast. And attentive. Biggest issue was the lack of chicken in the two dishes that were ordered. The amount of chicken in the Pad Basil was dismal. But the amount of chicken in the Wok Sweet and Sour was pathetic... Bordering on vegetarian. I got takeout here tonight after a loooonnnng weekend of running an estate sale. We ordered green curry with chicken and this establishment's version of Drunken Pad Thai (sadly I can't remember their name for it). The Green Curry is great. Very spicy, which I love (so spicy!). Sweet, but not too sweet. And it had eggplant, which I like. The noodles had a good flavor but were a little stuck together and a tad slimy, but that could be due to the fact we waited 40 minutes to eat it. A little spendy at $23 for both dishes. I also loved that I ordered take out, left to run across the way to the grocery store, and when I walked back I they immediately came and met me with my order. Great service! read more

I just moved here from LA and one thing the area lacks is food selection. I've been craving authentic Thai for 3 months. Some of the images of nearby places didn't look appetizing and their reviews confirmed my assumptions. Kindee didn't show up on Google Maps, but on Yelp it did. Had I known about them I'd have dined here months ago. I had green curry and my friend had Pad Z Ew. Both dishes were like butter. Mine was so good I wanted to lick my plate. The spring rolls were divine. The tofu had so much flavor! All the dishes on the menu were real Thai dishes, not Fusion. In truth, this place was better than my goto in Studio City. Bottom Line: pretty good Thai food and service but menu prices (hard copy and online) are not accurate. Check your bill carefully for overcharges. Well I really wanted to like this place and was going to rate it 4 or 5 stars until I got the bill. I had the Tom Kha soup with seafood and it was quite good. The broth had really good balance between the galangal, lemongrass, coconut milk and chilies. Good depth and complexity. The seafood (3 shrimp, 3 mussels, 1 scallop, 6 squid rings) was cooked perfectly, moist and tender. The service was good too. So everything was great until I got the bill and was charged $12 for the soup when the menu said it was $11. I asked the waiter about the discrepancy between the menu and the bill and he walked away, checked the menu then went to the kitchen to talk to someone else. He came back and told me the prices have changed but they haven't changed the menus yet. It was only a $1 discrepancy which I deducted from his tip and left. I have had many overcharges in the past but most were accidental like being billed for something I didn't order. I get it, I grew up in a restaurant family and when it gets busy sometimes mistakes are made. In this case though, it wasn't accidental and calls to question the ethical standards of the people who manage the business. We ordered takeout. Pad Z Ew, Pad Thai, Salad rolls and Calamari appetizer. Flavor ranges from ok to good but noodle dishes are very oily; so much so you could tip the box and drain it out. We are no stranger to spice but level medium is almost not edible. When I order takeout, I expect to have the necessary utensils and some condiments would be nice, but we had neither. Maybe they do their food better if you're eating in? Not sure, but we won't be finding out. Would've been better off driving to Thai Terrace. read more

Delicious Thai. Portions are normal sized, but flavor is exceptional! Be careful with heat levels. If you are sensitive at all to heat I'd recommend getting mild or none. We were sweating it out with our medium heat meal. Pad thai, pad se ew, zen noodle, and salad rolls are beautifully done. Could quite possibly be the best peanut sauce I've had. This is top notch thai in a more upper mid level scale. Prices are comparable to other thai in the area. I was pleasantly surprised by the sweet mango, purple puree, rice dessert offered in the summer time and will order all these items again. Must try if you are loyal or in the area. read more

Good place, most of the dishes are flavorful. My favorite is the pad Thai with the fresh salad rolls, the peanut sauce sauce for the rolls are amazing. I've had many of the dishes and all are good. Seems to be a fairly good Resturant, have enjoyed talking with the staff. We're pretty picky what we like as far as Thai food goes. So not the best person to judge the food. But we do like their rice dishes they have on the menu. Waitresses are friendly and do their jobs well. Really no complaints here at all! read more

I do take out every few weeks from Kindee, always consistently good Thai dishes, great service, love this place.

Have never had a bad experience here! We love their food! They can get a little busy from time to time but they are well for the wait!

Okay...I'm officially obsessed. We had lunch here today and decided on one of their many interesting specials. We chose the Mussamen Lamb. Good golly, it was spectacular. The dish consists of three finely trimmed, succulent chops, with a side of perfectly steamed brown rice, and a peanuty curry with veg. It was out of this world. Just a quick note from a vegan perspective: like virtually all places that are not veg, this place has a menu with an indecipherable menu when it comes to vegan options. There is a V, VG, and green plant symbol with no key to tell you what these mean. You might think that V is vegan and Vg is vegetarian, but since V is seen on a dish with egg it's immediately clear something isn't right. The labeling also peters out, neglecting to label desserts (grilled banana) that are certainly vegetarian at a minimum. Asking the waitress to clarify, she tells me that there are several dishes that can be made vegan: listing two (pad thai and hot basil) that don't even have the (presumably) vegetarian symbol on the menu. I would say this is a place that cannot clearly and credibly represent what's in the dishes and avoid if you have restrictions. I had the hot basil with tofu and unfortunately it was extremely salty. The ambience and service were lovely, and it was nice that the dish came with ample white rice and they didn't mess around with separate ordering of rice like so many Thai places. read more

i come to kindee thai every few weeks after work for a little treat. staff is always friendly, helpful, and i get in and out quickly. I always call in to order take out an the wait time has never exceeded 15 minutes. One time i came to pick up my food before realizing that i left my wallet at my house. I was annoyed at myself, thinking i would need to drive all the way home to come back and pay, but the lovely cashier told me that i could just take my food and all them when i arrived with my card info!
