I would give kindred auto sales a -5 if I could I bought a one owner 2002 z71 suburban with low miles April 2025, May 2025 I had issues the car start shifting pretty rough and shortly there after the transmission went out. I wanted to get the car looked at before I purchased, but was rushed and was told someone else is coming to look at it so with the limited time I had, I just went forward in purchasing the vehicle after I was assured that the vehicle was in flawless condition and he got it serviced and looked at as if it was his own total BS. this guy sells junk cars. The salesman/ owner was the rudest experience I've had all year and it's September.. He's dealing with a customer and I'm waiting outside in hopes of test driving the car, he tells me please wait 10 minutes. The other customer than leaves and HE PROCEEDS TO GO OUTSIDE TO SMOKE A CIGARETTE in front of me while I wait by the car door... I walked up to him and asked if we could test drive. He appeared bothered and asked me a few questions. I told him if the car looks great for both me and my sister (buyers) and our dad would come later with the mechanic to make sure it's ok and give it an inspection we'd get the car. Then he says " I FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE LETTING YOU DRIVE IF THE BUYERS NOT HERE"... mind you my sister is the buyer, and we don't even know if the car turns on even at this point!? I told him my sister was the buyer. THEN HE ASKED ME IF I WAS READY TO PAY TODAY, because if not he doesn't feel comfortable letting us drive... we are 2 African women in our 30's staring blankly at him. What was going on here? Not sure if he's a sleazy salesman and the prospect of having the mechanic there scared him? Or that we were "sketchy" looking, is this is a race or gender issue? The Caucasian women before us was able to test drive the car... but not us. Even if it wasn't a race or gender issue the attitude was so rude I felt so small. It's such poor taste to demand that we agree to pay today to just test drive it. He wanted our ID and credit card to be left with him.... I've never heard of that. Anywho I wanted to cry I was so frustrated to be treated less than. Not sure what his intentions was but he came across not friendly, rude, and greedy/ sleazy, his cig was more important than the customer even. He stated he was the owner and had his reasons and could do what he wanted. This is my first bad review I've written in years. People be aware. Black people don't waste your time!! Not worth it. When I arrived at the lot I was greeted by Wilbur. He was very helpful and showed me a few cars. He drove them to the front for me to inspect and test drive. Then I sat down with Will to close the deal. He recommended the car I chose because it was very reliable. He answered all my questions and even helped me get the title registered the same day! The next day I drove the car half way across the country to California and it ran like a dream! No Issues! its still running strong to this day. Fabulous experience, I got a great classic car at a great price. Will was very helpful and totally honest, odd to find in the car business.

If you want to purchase a car from this lot, make sure you get a pre purchase inspection by a trustworthy mechanic first. Trust me, its worth the money. I first went there to check out a car, a 2001 subaru with about 164,000 miles. The sticker on the car was $1,000 more than the listing online. William said that was just so the car had a number on it for the lot. William told me, and I quote, "I always come down in price, never up". I said "so you are negotiable on the price?" he said yes. William said i could take it to a mechanic to get a pre purchase inspection. So the next day i took the car to Firestone in south Everett (highly recommend those guys). They found the alignment was out, and some other work the car would need within the next 3 months, costing about $2,000. Preston at Firestone said "what ever this guy is asking in price, he should come down about $1,000 based on what all the car will need if you want to drive it longer than 6 months without causing more damage". For me those things were not deal breakers, so long as William would come down in price. I also had the KBB value from BECU for the car, which was almost $2,000 less than what William was asking. So I took the car back, armed with information and ready to negotiate. Y'all, this man would not negotiate with me AT ALL. He even insulted the integrity of Firestone's findings with the car. What I just do not understand, is why he said he was open to negotiations and can always come down in price, when that certainly was not the case. I walked away, and he said "lets sleep on it, and I'll call you in the morning". He in fact did not call me the next morning. What he did do was send me a screen shot of the Carfax estimated value of that Subaru. At that point I was very upset, because do you know what carfax also says? Carfax says on their website that they are 1 tool for used car buyers to use IN ADDITION to a pre purchase inspection from a mechanic. I feel this man waisted my time. If he just said the price wasn't negotiable, I wouldn't have waisted my time and money. read more

Purchased a 2006 Nissan Altima from here several months ago, I have been in several accidents and have also had several driving citations over the past few years so my insurance rates are higher than a monthly mortgage in Seattle. As a result I was on the market for a very cheap car. I purchased the Altima for $3000, he wouldn't budge on the price. Within weeks or less the check engine light came on. The car was drivable and wasn't showing any obvious issues so I didn't think much of it. Very soon after that, the car wouldn't start, had a mechanic come and the mech put me together for $500, he found oil leaking onto the spark plugs. He fixed that and the car started running again. Not long after that, Early March 2024, the same issue happened, car wouldn't start. Called another mech who identified the SAME issue the first mech identified and fixed it AGAIN for $300, so now $800 in to the car after buying it from Kindred for $3000. So the second mech fixed the oil leaking on the spark plugs again and the car is running. I immediately took it to a shop, Bucky's in Lynnwood, they diagnosed a blown head gasket, $4000 to fix LMMFAO, needless to say I'm not doing that. The car is running but wont start without a jump half the time and Bucky's said at some point it will never start again. Be very careful buying a car from this place, I am sure they have some decent cars there, it definitely is a pretty rundown, seedy lot, but you are essentially gambling on the car with these guys.
