I started going to Kinematics last summer before my rotator cuff surgery. I had my surgery in November. I returned to Kinematics for my post op PT. I had nothing but positive experiences there. I've always struggled with upper back and neck pain but since the birth of my daughter it's gotten progressively worse. The pain was getting so bad that simple tasks like changing my daughters diaper or holding her during feedings was becoming unbearable. Waking up was becoming something I dreaded knowing how much pain I'd be in. As a physical therapist myself, I am very weary to trust anyone with fixing me. But in prep for a 1/2 marathon and having pain I knew I needed manual work to be done so I could run. I turned to Matt's clinic. First I must say, this clinic is very nice and clean. Not your average clinic. The staff is a lot of fun and courteous. This has been a tough year for my daughter Alyssa. She plays hard and her body pays the price. After several frustrating visits to Kaiser I refused to go back when she hurt her arm. Thank God I found Kinematics. After just one visit she went from a pain level 9 to a 7 and her pain has continued to decrease consistently all the way down to a zero. I am so grateful for Matt, Jarryd and their team. Everyone is very friendly (front desk could use a little help in that department but she's young) helpful and it's a relax environment. I have called them twice to try to book an appointment. Each time, the girl who answers tells me I need an pre authorization "by law" from a doctor prior to scheduling an appointment. I have verified with my PPO insurance this morning I do not need an doctor authorization, I can direct refer myself since Kinematics is in network. After several futile attempts this morning trying to get her to understand I am able to direct refer myself, I ended up having to book an appointment with another therapy place. My back had suddenly gone out and I had no idea why. I started seeing a PT with Kaiser and was just extremely disappointed with the care they were providing. I actually got worse! I was unable to walk or stand up straight. I made an appointment with Matt and we game planned my road to recovery. He took his time to evaluate where my injury was originating from and what I needed to do to get myself back on my feet. Each session I had a staff member that was by my side making sure I was doing my stretches and exercises correctly. MAtt pushed me to get an updated MRI because my Dr. was telling me I didn't need one. I ended up having a herniated desk with mild stenosis in my lower back. Before my sessions were even up I was standing up straight, driving myself and strengthening my core! He's great at what he does, the staff is wonderful and even though it was tough it made me better. I am very grateful to the team at Kinematics! read more

I tried to make an appointment. My orthopedist faxed in the order two weeks prior but I did not receive a call to schedule an appointment. I called to schedule but was informed they did not receive the fax from the Orthopedist and to have it faxed and they would call me immediately to schedule . I know it was initially faxed as I was there. I faxed the rx myself and received confirmation 10 minutes after I hung up. I called the office, no answer, left message. Called again left message. So much for calling me right back Called today and was informed no fax but I argued that it went through and actually stated that I was not getting a warm fuzzy feeling that as a new patient I expect. On hold for awhile and magically she found my fax. Now for the appointment. They dont accept my ins etc. I have a major carrier with a high deductible and would pay myself but after the rude inefficient manner and treatment I received I will go elsewhere. Just called Body Basics and no problem, Have appointment scheduled. My suggestion, dont bother go elsewhere. read more

Today was my last physical therapy session at Kinematics. I had a total of 24 sessions over almost three months. On my first day, I could barely walk with crutches and a knee brace as I tore my quadriceps tendon and had surgery as a result of this injury. I was frightened on my first day but thanks to Matt and his team, I am now walking normally, my atrophy is almost all gone and the strength in my muscles are almost back to normal. Matt and his team are great! They take their responsibilities seriously, yet, they make the patient feel comfortable and encouraged. Their sense of humor creates a great atmosphere but they work us hard during PT. I am very grateful to Matt and his team. I cannot thank them enough for giving my life back. With kids in sports I worry about who is treating my child's injury. We found Matt and felt comfortable. After seeing 3 orthopedic surgeons, Matt was able to give us a physical therapy workout to help support the healing process. He was great with our son and even explained why he is doing some of the moves and rotations. This made us feel confident. The time he took with us will make our family return for future physical therapy needs. I've seen him at our local football and basketball games which tells me he is invested in our community.
