We were referred to SSR after my daughter had a knee injury. The initial rehab facility that we took her to wasn't working and we realized we needed a facility that understood athletic injuries. SSR has been great. In just a couple of visits the impact was clear. The pain my daughter had been experiencing for months was gone. They gave her exercises to do at home to continue the healing. Overall staff is awesome, service feels good. What sucked was they did not tell me every thing they asked me for care was being billed extra for and they took 5 months to send me that bill so there was a build up. In addition to that they tried double billing me or didn't bill me when they had my card on file. The whole thing was a pain at the end of it all. They also tried telling me that I had a deductible when I had zero and they said they called my old insurance to verify. Luckily I had a paper they mailed me from insurance de showing I had ZERO deductible but still insisted I had a deductible-- I just had a $70K surgery which my out of pocket was $145 with copays and what not --- so I'm sure I also met any potential deductible prior to post-op therapy. I like it here but the billing was a mess with being inaccurate and months after. read more

"I wish I would have started my Physical Therapy at SSR." This is a common statement that SSR receives from patients. They are simply the best. A typical session starts with a heating pad, percussion massage, STEM and stretching with a PT or PTA. They are very thorough and take their time. Unlike my previous PT experience, SSR has no limits and how long they will work with you. Often they ask patients if they can stay longer for their sessions. They focus on customized treatment plans to get where you want to be as quick as possible. They are not trying to keep you in therapy as long as possible. They focus on getting you better quickly and safely. If I had started my post rotator cuff PT with SSR, my recovery period would have substantially shorter. They are so worth the drive down the 91. I cannot reccomend SSR enough. You will not regret working with SSR. The team is amazing and Roger is the best!!! read more

My 15 year old daughter has been coming to SSR for about six months now. She plays competitive travel as well as high school basketball. She developed tendinitis in her knee and did not have much time to heal let alone stay healthy on her own. We are so lucky we were referred to SSR! I've never been to physical therapy before but my kids had major hip problems, surgery and they really helped my daughter. Now I'm 67 have a slipped vertebrae, arthritis in other areas. I dislocated my knee 11 weeks ago and also had a small tear. Yesterday I had a follow up with my orthopedic after 6 weeks of physical therapy at Sports Specific Rehab and my doctor was thoroughly impressed. He said the strength and the range of motion that I have gained over my six weeks of physical therapy is amazing and he even started asking where I was doing my physical therapy. He said whatever I'm doing at SSR has helped me avoid surgery and if I continue with the home exercises they have suggested, I shouldn't have any future problems. I didn't think I would ever get my range of motion back but SSR's program has helped me in just 6 weeks. More than that, they have helped me have confidence in the strength of my knee again.
