The staff were amazing as well as the owner who was very attentive throughout the whole dinner. If items were out she made sure they would be out in a timely fashion. The chicken is amazing !!! I also favored the Lo Mein noodles. It was about 12.95 for adults and 3.95 for my child which is fairly priced. They have lots of choices offered but I stick to the basics, haha ! I had a wonderful experience, the restaurant is very clean , not just spot cleaned. There is some great interior designing throughout the restaurant as well. Very easy accommodations for "buffet dining" during a pandemic. You write all of your orders on a piece of paper from a picture menu and the waitress builds your plate for you. Customers are not allowed in the buffet area. All of the food was so tasty and well worth the price!! read more

This is the average buffet minus a couple of points. I live in the DMV area so buffets are a dime a dozen. This had a mixture of everything: American, seafood, sushi, stir fry, Chinese. Basics of everything....fresh sometimes...sometimes not. Nothing stood out but I'm sure it's pretty good for the Dover area. The service was a little slow and the place wasn't crowded. read more

I felt like they were like family how kind and friendly they were on my first visit. There is a medium amount of food to choose from but the food choices you have will surely please anyone. They have awesome chicken on a stick and they rice and lo mein was delicious that's all I really like when I go to buffets like these. We live right across from the King Buffett and every time we drive by we look at this beautiful painting on the outside of the building and say to our selfs: "If they put that much effort into the outside of the building, the inside must be even better! We gotta try this place!" So we did, the other day for lunch. The inside is very nicely decorated and seemed to be very clean. As soon as you go inside you will get greeted by a very friendly women (not sure, but she might be the owner) and a waitress will lead you to your seats. They have a lot of variety of different foods, seafood, Mongolian, obviously Asian food lol and also some American foods like pizza and mac'n cheese for the kids. The Buffett area was clean and all of the food we tried was nice and hot and very delicious! The price was very reasonable, for 2 Buffett and a soda we paid $16. I ordered water as a drink and it was not tap water which is always great lol Overall very nice place and we will be back for sure! read more

This is one of the best buffets I have eaten at. The food is delicious and the customer service is even better. The service is fast and very friendly, considering the difficulties a buffet faces through this pandemic, the workers here are very accommodating and make sure that your plate is always full. I have never had to wait for anything at this establishment and once even welcomed us with open arms when they were about to close, we were told that they would never let someone go hungry! I love a buffet. But, I'm very particular about buffet. Any discrepancy as far a cleanliness or freshness, and I'm out of there before I order. This place is unlike any buffet I've come across. Once you walk through the doors, it draws you in. The decor is a little over the top, but in a very fun and festive way. The staff is friendly and very accommodating, and always attentive. Empty plates are cleared and drinks refilled by the time you come back to your table with fresh napkins and silver. Now, let me tell you about their bathrooms (one of my first points of judgment about any establishmet): immaculate, beautifully designed, clean, clean, clean. The food and service here are spot-on. The price is right and selections are continually being put on the buffet tables so that your food is always hot and fresh. Two years ago we had my oldest daughter's birthday dinner here and they went above and beyond to make her feel special and this was not pre-planned. Once they found out it was her birthday they went into celebration mode. Complete with a special dessert, a balloon and photos (NO EXTRA CHARGE). And she is an adult. So I can only imagine what they would do for a child's birthday. Check into hotel after a 15 hour day, then yelp/google local buffet restaurants an find this place. Call to see how late they were open an the woman on other end tells me ten. So my coworker and I race there an arrive at 935. The entire staff was so extremely polite and said if there was ANYTHING on the food line that we wanted that was low that the would make a fresh portion for us. Everything that both of us had was GREAT. We asked for three different things an all three were made fresh for us. Such an amazing experience to cap off a long day. Thanks you! read more

This is a place you might go to if Olive Garden (next door) or Red Lobster (even closer) is full up. One day, the OG was mobbed, the carpet had been replaced at the Red Lobster and it smelled of adhesive. So we had to hold our lunch appointment at the King (Hobson's Choice.) And you might like these Chinese buffet places that are proliferating around here. This one wasn't bad. Not much of the better stuff, such as it is (shrimp dishes, let's say), sushi was limited, but the food was clean and didn't make me ill, which means you are WAY ahead most of the time eating out in this tiny state capitol. We have tried many Chinese buffets over the years. There is one on the road from Bangor to Acadia national park. Another one at the southern tip of Shenandoah national Park in Waynesboro. And of course quite a few in the new York - long island area. This one rates about 8 out of 10. Most importantly this place is clean. The menu selection is varied. Apparently King Buffet has a problem with spouses sharing their drinks. Today is our wedding anniversary and we didnt plan anything big this year, but we decided to go have lunch at King Buffet. My husband ordered a fruit punch and me, water. Halfway through our stay my husband decided he'd rather the water, so we switched cups. When our server came back and asked if we wanted a refill on the fruit punch, I answered and said yes. She immediately said something in her language and her coworker laughed and looked at me. I may not speak their language but I CAN see and Im NOT stupid. I told my husband, "I don't like what just happened there, let's go." As I'm grabbing my purse, the waitress comes back with the refill and says to my husband, "This is YOUR drink, right?" Wow! Really? Did that just happen? That was OUR drink, one we were paying for regardless. If me and my husband want to drink from each others cups, nothing is wrong with that, the rudeness from the waitress was totally unnecessary. We grabbed our belongings and got up, leaving the all so important, rule-specific drink on the table untouched. Noticing this, our waitress asked if we didnt want anymore. Im sure the irritated look on my face spoke a thousand words but I gave her a simple no. That was immediately followed by another comment in her language to her coworker behind the counter, who once again smiled and laughed in response as she handed us our bill. Today was such a rude and ignorant experience. We rarely eat in Dover because of the horrible customer service found here, but we always agreed that King Buffet was one of the few places worth going to. Not anymore! read more
