It's right across the street from my job so I literally want to go there every day. Is it gourmet fare? NO, IT'S NOT, IT'S A SIX DOLLAR LUNCH. But is it decent? Yes. They even have sushi and Mongolian bowls. The service is always quick and friendly. So, because I'm cheap, this is one of my favorite places to lunch. I come here once in a while. Lunch is $7 bucks drink included. The food is not the greatest. But you do get a variety of items for seven dollars, which is still cheaper then a combo at most places. You will find a few items that are ok. They have sushi and a Mongolian Grill along with other items like fried rice, orange chicken, soups, American items and desserts. I usually stick to the sushi, Mongolian noodles and mushroom chicken. The items for the noodle station are very limited, but at least the garlic is back. It's always a hit and miss with the way the noodles are cooked. Service is lousy and the staff is not friendly. After today's visit who knows when I'll return. The last couple of times that I came here, my stomach didn't feel to good. If your definitely on a budget and in the mood for a cheap Chinese buffet, hit this place up. read more

Today is my birthday, so my daughter invited us here. I eat so many buffets, and from now, here will be one of my favorite place. The food all is good tasted. I loved the egg soup, pork saute, chicken, sushi, and many of them. The desert honestly was not fresh as I expected, but overall were very good. Today I had an appointment , after a asked for a good place to eat, King buffet was recommended to me. My first thought was if I walk in and it smells worse than my ass I will not eat here! Well I was surprised that it did not smell, I asked to see the buffet and it looked just ok, was going to leave but then the hostess told me that it was only $5.99 per person I thought to myself wow really? I decided to stay, went directly to the Mongolian beef and made a dish to my liking, the whole time I was thinking something is wrong here, is it old or second hand meat, maybe rotten veggies but I was totally impressed. Here are my thoughts for King Buffet, Mongolian beef section has good veggies and shaved beef and chicken, was ok, Egg rolls where surprisingly good, Broccoli beef was tasty, Orange chicken was good, Egg flour soup was ok, for desert had ice cream which was delicious, many to pick from, also had fresh fruit and almond cookies. So I gave King Buffet four stars because for $5.99 a person it is a really good price, If you are expecting PF Chengs quality this is not for you, just visit not expecting anything and I think you like it. Having been a somewhat frequent customer pre-pandemic, I was disappointed in what I encountered today. As others have said, the food looks tired and warmed over. There are considerably fewer options now (used to love healthy veggie-loading here). Meats were overcooked, dry and stringy. Beef in the broccoli beef dish was sinewy and inedible. Almost all tastleless, which is heartbreaking when even barbecued pork is dry with no flavor. :( That said, the egg-flower soup is awesome. The place is not the best-looking one you can visit!! the cold attitude from some of the staff especially the one in front she will take you to your seat and ask for what type of drink you want to expect no warm welcome she is a cold zombie. King Buffet's selection has declined post-covid. It costs $10 to eat fake shrimp sushi and instead of any kind of sashimi they have salmon cut into chunks w/ some vegetable in a small bowl. The crispy sushi the owner used to make was not there either. Maybe it just ran out but after multiple visits it never showed up. Also no unagi. They obviously don't have any crab legs at that price but their whole selection seems to have diminished. No sesame balls etc. They basically removed everything from the menu that made us so excited about visiting it. One more thing, their service was bad, bad, bad. They were polite but I was seated at a sticky table and half way through the meal given the bill and told thank you for coming. My glass was empty and needed something to wash the rest of the food down, so I asked two separate waitress' for a refill but got nothing. Also no fortune cookies.
