I intentionally waited until my second visit to write this review because I wanted to give the restaurant a fair chance before sharing my opinion. At $38.99 per person before drinks, this is not an inexpensive meal. The food was average and didn't stand out enough to justify the price. The conveyor belt filled with vegetables, noodles, and other ingredients is visually appealing, but I noticed the items were left uncovered as they circulated throughout the dining room. While the presentation looks nice, it raised concerns for me about exposure within a busy restaurant environment. The biggest issue, however, was the overall atmosphere. During both visits, there was a noticeable mildew-like odor throughout the restaurant. I also noticed smells that appeared to be coming from cleaning products and nearby restrooms, which took away from the dining experience. After giving this restaurant two opportunities, I can confidently say I won't be returning. The concept is interesting, but the average food quality, pricing, and overall dining environment did not meet my expectations. I'm new to Florida and hopeful there are better hot pot restaurants in the area. read more

The location was easy to find, and the restaurant was clean. The music was calm and peaceful. There was a variety of toppings including fried foods too that you could eat outside of hotpot which was interesting. They also had the option for unlimited barbecue grill for an additional $5.99. I ordered the hot and spicy at medium heat and it was not as flavorful as I would have liked, I added some of my own flavorings from their condiments at the sauce bar which helped. I decided to try a new hot pot spot rather than my regular favorite to spice it up. Dragon hot pot is nicely kept and looks clean. You choose your soup base, order your drinks, and then grab food from the conveyor belt or go towards the food section to pick out your additional items. They offer a sauce bar, additional type of noodles + ramen, dessert cakes, fruit, and ice cream. My hot pot was just ok whereas my friends said theirs was really good, so I recommend just trying for yourself as your experience can differ widely. I didn't try the kbbq but their marinated meat options looked great. I want to really say the staff here is great! They are so kind and friendly. I forgot my purse and didn't realize until I got home, quickly called them and my waitress said she kept it aside for me. So I went around 9pm to eat dinner with my girlfriend, and honestly I feel like I paid to genuinely get a stomach ache. The second I walked in I was greeted with...no greeting....or anyone at the front desk at all. It was almost empty, with maybe 3 tables out of the 25 or so allocated tables within the restaurant. A random table cleaner ended up sitting us down after a minute or so. The entire place looks painfully cheap, like a handicapped child was put up to the task of decorating and setting up the vibe of this establishment. Service was mediocre, the servers watched us like prey for about 4-5 feet from our tables, really made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. The food looked and tasted subpar, and the meats/fish looked and smelled like they were bought at Walmart or sédanos. I wouldn't even feed my dog any of the protein that was available after the experience I'd had cooking and eating it. The soup was basic, and the spicy soup was spicy but the taste was just off, it had too much spice that felt overwhelming and not tasty in the slightest. Veggies were the only good thing available, and the selection was trash, with like 5 leafy green veggies only being available as veggies, which is pathetic considering it's a hotpot place, you'd assume a wider variety but no, just 5 all same looking leafy greens for veggies I guess. I paid $150 to literally get scammed and have a stomach ache now. I will never recommend this place at all and honestly it should just close down, it's definitely seen better days and what it's seeing now is the end of a double barrel shotgun waiting to put it out of its misery. read more

Friendly attentive service. Family owned and operated restaurant. Meats and seafood were fresh. We were just doing the hotpot but decided to add Korean bbq. What a great all you can eat dinner!!! Crab, huge shrimp, oysters, clams and more. Bulgogi, short rib, thinly sliced cuts of steaks, pork, chicken, they've got everything. Pleasantly surprised about this restaurant. It is well kept and staff was friendly. There was plenty of options for both Korean BBQ and Chinese hot pot cooking. The buffet area is clean and refilled often. It's affordable and you can do one or the other or you can do both. Each table is set up to do both. Our party chose only BBQ but there are plenty of things you can cook on the grill. Our favorites were the galbi and marinated pork. We also liked the thin sliced beef you'd usually hot pot but it works well on the grill too. The conveyor belt brings around fresh veggies but there are plenty of options on buffet line as well. I went to this place with two friends. They were more versed on hot pot than I am. Once I got the hang of it, It was good but a lot of the items are just not my type and quality of food. I must say I would return for the Korean bbq part of it and the snow crabs. Everything else was just meh. The atmosphere was very chill and the conveyor belt containing food items was very cool. Very pricey for less than average quality but they do have a wide selection if there are many people needing accommodations on diet. The seat arrangements are soooo tight had an uncomfortable eating experience with the back of the other person so close to me. Had difficulties getting in and out of the seat to get food. What was also very uncomfortable was this table of two diners next to us on the other side of the conveyer belt kept gawking at my family as we bbq'ed and ate our hot pot. They were very loud about their comments and when we looked at them to stop staring at us. They wouldn't and it created such a bad dining experience for us. These people were also giving service a hard time because they wanted to take their food 'to-go' it's a buffet? Clearly that isn't something buffets allow... The food bar wasn't so messy but I wouldn't say it's the best quality but had a large selection. Gotta say I love going to hot pot restaurants. This place was very clean and the staff kept the bar up to par. However going on a Saturday night they definitely did not have enough servers. One person had at least 8 tables, meanwhile one girl stood on the wall and had one table the whole time we were there. Didn't clean up or anything. Idk what that was about?! But they definitely need more staff. Food options are nice, they have the usual items. One big disappointment was they didn't have pork belly for hot pot. We did however have one issue. We asked for a broth refill for miso and bone broth. One person is a vegetarian who was having the miso. The staff member (not our server) poured the bone broth in the other bowls then we tried to stop him from putting the bone into the miso and he said they are all vegetarian bases. Stunned, that now we had to they had to make an entire new soup because there was no way to stop him from pouring the broth. The bbq was not worth the money at all, one of the worst I have ever eaten. It had pork belly. We tried the chicken, pork & ribs. Chicken and pork were flavorless horrible cuts of meat, random chops, and the ribs were so tough to the point of one of us didn't eat it. Won't be going back. If you want a yummy spot with variety and convenience, you would love Dragon Hot Pot & BBQ! The conveyor belt of items is so fun, especially when an item you want appears before you need to get up to refill your plate. I enjoyed the mushroom broth, which was a basic but versatile base. I added other elements to it, like green onion and more mushrooms. The tom yum broth was the most popular! It was refreshing and flavorful and goes well with almost all the toppings. Something that surprised me was the shrimp paste. It's like the inside of shrimp shu mai, which I love. In the same plaza, there is frozen custard, coffee, and boba. So it was a convenient location with plenty of parking as well. All in all, it's worth checking out! read more

Brand new hot pot & BBQ place in West Palm Beach located in a small plaza off Okeechobee Blvd. The pricing is average/normal for hot pot & BBQ and it's the AYCE concept. They have a conveyor belt that has bowls of veggies and noodles going around and a station where there's all the meats and seafood and sauce station. However when I went, the conveyor belt was a bit disappointing as they lacked refilling it. The service was not bad but could be better. They just opened so I will give them benefit of the doubt. This place has been pending opening FOREVER! They finally opened a few months ago and I've tried them out 2-3 times since then and they're getting better each time! The first time they had hotpot without kbbq or boba. Second time fruit tea based boba no milk boba and kbbq. Then the most recent time all of the above! They've finally opened what seems to be their entire menu. Their wellness broth has such good flavor and they even let us try different samples of broth to pick a good one. My favorite part has to be the kbbq. I enjoy making lettuce wraps with my own sauce, kimchi, etc. The meat is easy to cook and is flavored well with so many options! We don't eat out a lot and I have been to a similar style place in Boston, so I knew we would have fun. My family was teasing me and didn't know what to expect and when they saw the food on the conveyor belt, they got a little interested and when they saw the broths and selection, they were hooked. I have only been here once and I am obsessed. I cannot wait to come back. I only did get a BBQ, but it was out of this world. A steak was so tender and good. There was no fat on it. It tasted like fillet in melted right in your mouth, and had so much flavoring. Our server was super friendly and helpful. He asked if we wanted a special sauce that he would whip up from the sauce bar. Let me tell you it was out of this world. I asked him how to make it in case he's not there someday that I come back and there was about 13 different ingredients in lol. It was so good.
