I wish I ate here more often brother. You're a regular if you get the reference. One of the long time employees always calls you brother. It's one of my favorite quirks about this place. But seriously, this is some of the best damn Indian food anywhere! Like legit authentic and high quality. We normally come here for special occasions but I'm going to make it a point in 2025 to come more often. I've been eating here since about 2017 and have never had a bad meal or bad service even when they are slammed. They are also very accommodating for birthdays allowing us to bring in our own cake. My children love this place and often pick it to have their birthdays here with friends. The lamb curry and chicken tikka masala are so good I have a hard time ordering anything else. We also almost always get vegetable pakora for an appetizer. I suggest everyone order their own naan as it's baked fresh to order and so delicious you'll want more if you share. My favorite is the Kashmiri naan with cherries, the sweet pairs really well with the spicy dishes. You can order any spice level you like, I go with medium most of the time. My kids love the plain or garlic naan. At lunch they have a buffet and it's a really good deal. On top of the buffet items, if there's something you want that's not there, they will make it for you no extra charge!! So if you don't see your favorite, just ask for it!

After a day of errands, my husband and I were craving something warm and hearty and found Zeera. As soon as you open the door to the restaurant, you can immediately smell the amazing aromas of all the curries! It smelled heavenly! My husband ordered the lamb home style curry and I ordered the chicken butter masala. Both were delicious and the perfect amount of spicy! We also ordered the garlic naan and it was the right amount of garlic (aka A LOT) and we ate everything! The service is also very good, with our waiter coming by when we needed water refills and to check in. 10/10!!! We will definitely be back as this is now our new favorite Indian spot in the Fuquay!

If you like Indian food and you're around Fuquay, you're in luck because this is a gem! The interior is beautiful and spacious with lots of seating. Service was very attentive and helpful. Food was very good overall & you can select your spice level from 1 to 10. Very few places do that. The portions were generous. I liked the mutter paneer...It was creamy, well spiced with big chunks of paneer. The baingan bhartha was just ok for me...I didn't taste the eggplant & it lacked the smokiness from roasting the eggplant that I expected from this dish. The chicken vindaloo was a hit & honestly not as spicy as I envisioned.

I frequent Zeera, not as often as I'd like, however with that said I've never had a disappointing experience. I always order takeout as I'm the only member in my family whom enjoys Indian fare. On my most recent trip I decided to expand a bit on what I normally order....glad I did! As always my order was piping hot when I arrived home, well packed, I like how they use plastic containers for entrees well sealed. Flavors are strong but not over powering, rice is perfect as always! Butter masala - chicken (medium), perfect amount of spice for me, could've went one step up maybe Bhuna - chicken (medium) Chili Shrimp Vegetable Samosa - potatoes and peas X2 orders of Garlic Naan and extra rice (although the std order is quite a bit I prefer lots of rice)

Zeera is a the definition of a 5 star restaurant. It's been a staple for my wife and I for the last two years, and I don't see that changing anytime in the near future. We've been to Zeera now a few times in person and also ordered from them via delivery at least 10 times. Not one bad experience! I always feel the need to shout out the people who go out of their way to provide a good experience for guests, and the workers here are gems of the hospitality industry. Absolutely incredible customer service from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out satisfied. The food? It's my absolute favorite Indian food not only in the area, but so far it's been the best I've had since moving to North Carolina period. It's just that good! And I also want to give them such huge credit for how fresh, hot and delicious their food always tastes when delivered. You know how sometimes you order delivery and it comes with either a missing item, cold or not up to standard of what you're used to getting in person? Not here. The quality is top notch and never fails to deliver. Verdict: Fuquay Varina's best Indian spot in my humble opinion. If you're looking for that perfect lunch or dinner spot and craving something spicy, look no further. You're in for a great experience with high quality food and customer service that lives up to the hype. Verdict: 5

We've been going here for lunch (and a few times for dinner) since it opened a few years before covid. It fills a huge vacancy of Indian food in Fuquay and the surrounding area. The food itself is fine, although the flavors may not be as strong as you're hoping, if you frequently enjoy northern Indian cuisine. The service is always outstanding from the friendly owners and staff. Overall, a solid choice for this small town.

Ask the Community - Zeera Indian Restaurant

Is there a buffet every day? Lunch or dinner? Or is it just on Saturday?

They no longer do anything buffet style, but they do serve large family-style sharing dishes.

Anyone know if they're good celiac?

I went with someone who requested gluten free and they pointed out that almost the entire lunch buffet was gluten free and they provided bread made from chickpea flour rather than the traditional naan. Ask for Santos, the manager. He's terrific…

I ordered two butter chickens for my husband and I, garlic Naan and a Mango Lassi. The butter chicken was delicious but adding the garlic naan along with it really pulled it all together. You can make reservations using the Yelp app, but we got there at 6pm Thursday and tables were open anyway. It filled up in about 90 minutes. Not a lot of pics in the huge menu. They have specials on certain days. After we ordered, we found out about a great deal for Thursdays. It was our fault we missed it because it was written RIGHT THERE on the menu. The lack of pics made it tough to order, though I'd had Indian many times. And the thick accents from the employees didn't help us to decide anything. Myself, I just stuck to curry. I picked mutton because I'd always wanted to try it. Yelp pics didn't help much either because few people write in descriptions what the photos are. Everything tasted amazing. They really know their food. Not to take anything away from the main dishes (I told you I loved them) but the standout for me were the fried pepper appetizers. A mix of just enough outside crunch and soft inside flavor. I'm no fan of chai tea, but I really liked theirs. The mutton was great, but I more prefer my meals without bones in them. Like with oxtails, which are routinely more skeleton than flesh, it's never a fine experience finding your bite to be a mouthful of bone. It's overrated, I promise you. The bill paying system is grossly inefficient. Tell them you want separate checks and nothing happens until the very end where everyone has to tell the server what they ordered, in a language they don't understand, mind you, and she charges everyone, one by one. It took like ten minutes to get through our party of five. It's a really bad method. Since it was my birthday, they played a YouTube video over the speakers. It was a generic "Happy Birthday To Whomever" type deal that worked fine, but they let it play for its whole fifteen minute runtime. It was cute, funny and ridiculous all at once. Wonderful food, nice servers, language barriers can be tough, and some questionable business practices still make this one a solid keeper. Just brace yourself.

I remember thinking as I was driving over that 'man I wish she liked Indian food' because I hadn't had any in some time. Much to my delight when we got here, I discovered not only were their Thai and Chinese inspired stuff, there was a nice large selection of Indian options. She got some chicken lo main, and I got palak paneer. She got some spring rolls, and I got my favorite Samosas. I introduced her to the papadum and chutneys that were given before the meal and she was a trooper and tried them all. Food arrived, was hot, fresh, and delicious. With the samosas it was too much for me to finish my palak paneer and I'm eating it now as I type this up for lunch on Sunday. Lo mein was well liked, she doesn't have a spice tolerance though and a 3 was a bit much for her. she said the spring rolls were great, and had finished off the lomein she brought home by Saturday night. Really great place you should check it out, they do delivery and stuff, but it was great to go in somewhere in person and enjoy a meal.
