We started with a potato samosa which came with three relishes - I really liked the pickled onions and my dining partner really liked the sweet and spicy brown sauce. Our mango masala and chicken korma were really good. And we loved the peshwari naan. We ordered a bottle of wine which they poured and then put on ice table side. After multiple disappointing experiences, I decided to give this place one final chance, and once again it was a complete failure. I spent over $40 on a to-go order and received food that was overpriced, poorly made, and honestly embarrassing to serve to customers. To start, the order I received was not even the order I placed. Instead of taking accountability, I was told I should have ordered online "for accuracy." A restaurant should be able to get a basic takeout order correct no matter how it is placed. They remade the food, but it made no difference because the quality was still terrible. The butter chicken tasted like pure sugar, the chicken tikka was completely flavorless, and charging $22 for six tiny pieces of bland chicken is ridiculous. The garlic naan was paper thin and nothing close to authentic naan. As a business owner in town, I can honestly say I would never recommend this place to anyone. This is by far the worst Indian restaurant in the area. The food is low quality, severely overpriced, and consistently disappointing. Do yourself a favor and drive to Cary or Apex if you want actual Indian food instead of wasting your money here. read more

The lunch buffet at Zeera was the worst experience we've ever had with an Indian restaurant, which especially disappointed us coming from a place with such high reviews. There were hardly any Indian people there, which made sense once we tasted the food: bland, underseasoned, and underspiced. The Tikka Masala was particularly lacking in any meaningful flavor except for the faint taste of crayons. We decided to give them another chance with takeout instead of buffet, which was slightly better. Even for the takeout food, though, there was a distinct lack of aromatic smell & flavor, as well as the richness / fullness we've come to expect from the common masalas. The Rogan Josh was better, having some decent spice and flavor. The garlic naan disappointed us, lacking garlic flavor. The lamb samosa was pretty good. I wish I ate here more often brother. You're a regular if you get the reference. One of the long time employees always calls you brother. It's one of my favorite quirks about this place. But seriously, this is some of the best damn Indian food anywhere! Like legit authentic and high quality. We normally come here for special occasions but I'm going to make it a point in 2025 to come more often. I've been eating here since about 2017 and have never had a bad meal or bad service even when they are slammed. They are also very accommodating for birthdays allowing us to bring in our own cake. My children love this place and often pick it to have their birthdays here with friends. The lamb curry and chicken tikka masala are so good I have a hard time ordering anything else. We also almost always get vegetable pakora for an appetizer. I suggest everyone order their own naan as it's baked fresh to order and so delicious you'll want more if you share. My favorite is the Kashmiri naan with cherries, the sweet pairs really well with the spicy dishes. You can order any spice level you like, I go with medium most of the time. My kids love the plain or garlic naan. At lunch they have a buffet and it's a really good deal. Went and had lunch buffet. I know it isn't really fair to judge a restaurant based off of the lunch buffet. The food on buffet was ok, but very little spice. I put some of the chutney on. I should have realized that the fact no Indians were eating there was a warning sign and gone to one of my regular places instead. I wouldn't refuse to meet a friend here if they asked me to, but I also wouldn't suggest it. We try to make the trek to this restaurant annually due to it being almost an hour away for us. This was the first time, since the pandemic, that the buffet was available so we tried that. Was a good price for the food that is offered. Was thinking they'd have butter chicken but they did not have it for the buffet. Have to admit I was happy not to see it since it's the most commonly ordered dish it seems, but unhappy because I wanted to try it and have told myself I'll never order it lol. Also wished they had the garlic naan but fresh naan was tasty. Multiple chicken dishes and a vegetable only dish too. A dream buffet would have one item of each protein they have! Too bad that'd be too costly... Overall, the buffet was tasty, foods were restocked often and had a nice variety. Had 3 types of desserts the day we went too. After a day of errands, my husband and I were craving something warm and hearty and found Zeera. As soon as you open the door to the restaurant, you can immediately smell the amazing aromas of all the curries! It smelled heavenly! My husband ordered the lamb home style curry and I ordered the chicken butter masala. Both were delicious and the perfect amount of spicy! We also ordered the garlic naan and it was the right amount of garlic (aka A LOT) and we ate everything! The service is also very good, with our waiter coming by when we needed water refills and to check in. 10/10!!! Food was very good overall & you can select your spice level from 1 to 10. Very few places do that. The portions were generous. Wanted something different than our normal one night. I talked my wife into this location as she does not like a lot of spice. We had to wait a few minutes to be seated as they were busy and continued busy throughout our dining. After being seated it took at least 10 minutes for our waitress, Emma, to arrive. Emma was very pleasant and answered questions for my wife. Emma suggested a Tandoori dish which she said was "american indian dish". My ordered the Chicken Tandoori which came with lots of rice. She enjoyed her meal and took half home. I ordered the Rogangosh with chicken and enjoyed very much. Was not very spicy but had good flavor. We also ordered Cheese Naan as the bread. Zeera is a the definition of a 5 star restaurant. It's been a staple for my wife and I for the last two years, and I don't see that changing anytime in the near future. We've been to Zeera now a few times in person and also ordered from them via delivery at least 10 times. Not one bad experience! I always feel the need to shout out the people who go out of their way to provide a good experience for guests, and the workers here are gems of the hospitality industry. Absolutely incredible customer service from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out satisfied. The food? It's my absolute favorite Indian food not only in the area, but so far it's been the best I've had since moving to North Carolina period. It's just that good! And I also want to give them such huge credit for how fresh, hot and delicious their food always tastes when delivered. You know how sometimes you order delivery and it comes with either a missing item, cold or not up to standard of what you're used to getting in person? Not here. For YEARS, I have given this place a 5 star review. The last two eating experiences force me to drop it considerably. Something has happened here, and it isn't good. The ENTIRE STAFF has turned over and service is dismal. Saturday night and the place isnt even half full...telling. Our waiter had the attention span of a fruit fly. Our orders were wrong. He never placed the kids meal or Naan order despite asking 3 times. He brings out the kids order AT THE END of the meal. No apology given to the starving 5 year old. our bill was completely wrong and they charged us for the kids meal decling to remove it because it was brought to the table. Portion sizes are much smaller. To add insult to injury, our party of 6 were charged an automatic gratuity of 20%...for the absolute worst service. The new manager could have cared less and made zero effort at service recovery. For years, this resturant has been a favorite of my family. I ordered takeout for lunch today and I was very impressed with all the precautions they are taking during COVID (hand sanitizer upon entry, everyone was wearing masks, seating was socially distanced). This is the first time I've ever had Indian food and it was delicious! I ordered the chicken tikka masala - medium spice, it comes with basmati rice; I also ordered the garlic naan and a chicken tandoori kabob. I ordered and paid via their app and it made the process easy breezy. The medium spice level was perfect; warm and rich spicy flavor, but not overwhelmingly spicy. The naan was soft and had great garlic flavor. The chicken tandoori came with 3 condiments and I'm not sure what they were, but they were very tasty with the chicken. My favorite was definitely the chicken tikka masala, which I've heard is a must order for a first timer of Indian cuisine. I expected larger portions because they are expensive. As a theme of tonight, they were way too late serving food. I get that it's a new waitress but the cooks are in charge. We ordered multiple naan and they didn't come out as an appetizer. In fact, they didn't even come out until after the dinner, and then of the three was missing. In fact, the waitress then offered to bring it out free of charge, but it still showed up on the bill. it's good that kids meals came out first but we should have had something to eat also. Even the standard chips and sauces would be good, but they don't give you that here. It was supposed to come out with the naan but that never happened. So service was slow and scatterbrained. ambiance is eh - kinda open but tables are scattered in a few different places and a random bar in the corner. Food did not redeem my rating. The high point was the naan, fluffy and fresh. The sauces are pale imitations of actual Indian sauces. Extra hot sauce level is barely up to hot. My shrimp dish had a solid 7 shrimp in it but tails on with sauce - no way to get them out without getting dirty. In the end, even if I lived down here, nothing would bring me back here. I need to get what I ordered and I prefer it to be worth my money. Neither of those happened here unfortunately. read more

Nope. Not Indian food. Curry was incredibly watery. Naan was like a flat pizza dough and incredibly small. Smells amazing, but it was not for us. Loved the white meat chicken... however, it should've been tandoori chicken in the tikka masala. Also, Why is there oregano in the tikka masala?!?! Vegetable jalfrezi was oily and had broccoli in it... jalfrezi should be cauliflower, bell pepper, peas, onion and other spices. The rice was NOT fragrant. Plain basmati rice... was it even basmati?! Probably just Jasmine actually looking now. Want Chinese food blended with Indian curry, and apparently some Italian spices? Go here. Lived in India for years. I dined at Zeera a while back and loved the food! Finally had a chance to try it again. This time we did take out. We ordered a vegetable samosa, a lamb samosa, chicken tikka masala, keema naan, and basmatic rice. We were hoping for some leftovers, but we gobbled everything up. We were so full we needed to take a walk. Our favorite was probably the samosa. Next time, we'll order extra orders! Even with covid restrictions only partially lifting this restaurant was BUSY, great sign, but they also had quick and friendly service. Service: Ash was an all star, talking with us about the menu and making new suggestions to branch out from our regulars. While busy our food came out very quickly and drinks were refilled promptly. Food: Delicious, fresh spices and quality ingredients (meats and veggies). Cleanliness: the entire restaurant including the bathrooms was extremely clean, even with them being completely packed and all tables/seats filled with a wait! I Love Zeera!!! Southern Indian food is my top tier favorite! The spices are out of this world, and I love it alllll! I am a vegetarian, so the veggie biryani is my go-too. I order it extra hot! If you're a spice junkie, that is your go too! My husband loves the shrimp biryani as well. Samosa chaat is full of great authentic flavors. Due to my work schedule, I've only done take out. However: the FOH staff is always super nice, and they work really fast. The restaurant looks family friendly and cozy for an eat-in experience. We dined in at the restaurant. Service was courteous and the food came in a timely manner. Restrooms were very clean. One word about the food - greasy! All the curries were swimming in oil/fat. The spices used were quite non-Indian in two of the curries. The authentic Indian flavor was lacking for those. We asked for medium spice but the food was on the hotter side. The rotis were very small in size. Curries portions were decent. There was so much oil in the food that we had to scrub our hands with lemon pieces to get the greasy garlicky smell off. No pappadums came with the food, like they used to be provided as complimentary starters earlier. For 3 people the check came out to be 70 with gratuity, which seemed a high amount for a lunch with small portions. We follow a vegetarian diet - it's possible that the meat items are good here.
