The young man (supposed) to be at the cash register was off to the side with his phone. When he finally acknowledged me, I ordered. Then he had absolutely no clue where to find what I wanted on the cash register screen....One of the kitchen staff interjected (trying to help). However, between the inept lad at the register, and the kitchen staff, I ended up getting the incorrect order. The manager finally appeared, asking what was wrong (as I stood there, holding my incorrect order) . I said nothing, and left. They have decent food, a bit pricey, but decent food with shoddy service. If you want to risk a visit: 1. Make sure to examine the video menu closely 2. Be explicit to the kid(s) at the register. 3. Don't expect the manager to actively correct your situation. She will tell you the order is wrong because YOU ordered the wrong product. I ordered delivery from door dash for a half slab of ribs, slaw, and fries. My biggest complaint is the way they packed the food. Please don't pack cold food with hot. Doses this place have new owners? I started my order at the speaker, #1 with onion rigs. Then asked about ribs. The server couldn't understand me and I couldn't understand her. I hear "Pull to da window" I don't speak Spanish and they kinda understood English. So after making hand gestures I just said nicely " Only the #1 please" and was told "Pull to da yellow pole" I sat there for 20 mins, she came out and I looked in the bag, No onion rigs. I said "Mama, I ordered onion rigs. She said "Oh yea" she runs inside. Comes out and said " I didn't not charge you for onion rigs" I asked for them, didn't get them, didn't get them for free because I sat there for most of my lunch break, and I said forget it I have to go. Don't come here. If you are wanting a gyro really badly and have plenty of extra cash, go ahead and come here. But if not, it's a waste of money. Food is just okay, service is slow, and the cashiers aren't the most pleasant to deal with. The first time my family went there, we walked in and out because of the attitude of the cashier and how she basically made fun of us for wondering what the difference between a gyro plate vs gyro meal. She laughed and didn't answer the question and said a smart remark. Then a few weeks later we decided to give it one more shot. I don't know what happened today (Friday July 22 2022), but I severely disappointed. I got an Italian beef and sausage combo sandwich and it was horrible. It was on the bread that comes with the rib tips,sliced completely in two pieces. I lost everything in the sandwich, when I picked it up! I had to use my fingers to pick up the meats ,onion and giardiniera and bite a piece of the hard dry bread to consume the sandwich. Igot this combo today,because I had one last week for dinner and it was KILLER! It has a soft sub bun and it was so damn good that I almost went back to get another one. I will give you a heads up on the drive thru menu, they are not the price you will get when you pay for your order. I paid with cash and there is also a higher price for your food, if you use a credit card. I had the same problem with the rib tip dinner a few weeks ago. Family ate in over the weekend and my wife and daughter had the gyros with were pretty good. I had a Italian sausage and after a few bites noticed it was pink inside so I brought it up to the counter and the woman said they are from a new vendor and that's how they are..........huh? I have had my share of Italian sausage over the years and know they are not cooked if it's pink. I also agree with previous reviews about the fries as they were not good. read more

The food overall is still good but man I miss the old french fries they were so tasty. The new ones are so terrible I don't even order them. I've been to another King Gyros locations and I had pretty good experiences (fast and super friendly). Specifically with this one I haven't been before, it was the total opposite. Extremely rude, and didn't very much care about what I was asking for with the eyeroll ordered the Big Baby side of fries.. super simple roI kid you not I will never eat there again, I came back from the restroom and saw a roach just chillen on the floor, thinking like breh was he asking for my number.. seriously asked for a refund before I even got my food and told them they needed to do something with the situation like ASAP. read more

They've remodeled the outside, but not the food...phew! I love this place. It's not crazy fast, but its fresh made to order, which is soooo much better. The gyro plate is enough for 2 people, just order an extra pita. The Greek Salad is big, even the small... heavily dressed too, so dressing on the side is a must. They do Chicago dogs the RIGHT way with the bright lime green relish (super cheap too). The rib tips are always tender and the dinner is big! It's not a fancy sit down restaurant, it's an old converted Taco Bell or Dairy Queen, it's been there so long now I can't remember. The family that runs it are soooo nice, polite, and attentive. King Gyros is a great little place to grab a good gyro. You can watch them cut the meat off of the spit as they prepare your meal. The meat is well seasoned, crispy, never dry and always piping hot. The onions are well seasoned and the tzatziki is thick, rich, and clings to the meat. My biggest complaint is that the pitas get overdone and don't soak up all the juices which makes for an even bigger mess than a gyro already is. The menu is pretty substantial for such a small place and I have always had good luck with the rib tips, gyro plate and Chicago dogs. If you want to go to a place that has good food, fast service and a lot of variety then King Gyros is worth a visit. read more

New management. I haven't been here since last year. I was not impressed with the cashier. He walked away from me while I was in the middle of ordering. They also changed their fries and are like McDonalds now. The old ones were great. Gyro was a bit dry and the grilled cheese is on pita bread. My kids didn't eat it. The cashier also messed up my order then I had to go back and order the items again that he missed. Overall experience was negative. I wish the old management was still there. read more

Two years ago this location was excellent. We quit going here because the no customer service level went way down. I decided yesterday to give it one more chance. I pulled in the drive thru and was told to hold a minute. Keep in mind there was about 3 cars in the parking lot. 11 minutes later no one came back to take my order. Drive thru service 10/13/13 - waited for our food forever while we listened to the boisterous laughter while the staff had a party inside. Made me wonder what they were doing with our food - ended up throwing it out. Usually great food - but served by juvenile, disrespectful staff. I've been a customer here for years, but things are taking a turn for the worse. Cheeseburger and mozz sticks today, one of my favorites here and used to be one of the best fast food burgers in town. The bun on the burger was still cold from being in the cooler, of course, making the whole burger cold. This location does not pride itself in Good Customer Service tactics! I ordered a Veggie wrap and instead received lettuce, tomatoes and onions thrown on top of a piece of Pita bread. When I informed the OWNER that my order was incorrect, he replied, "I can't do anything with that!" I requested a refund and he REFUSED! I left the food on the counter (which I'm sure was an insult to him and let him keep the $7 plus change). I will never visit this establishment EVER AGAIN.
