We walked in at 11: 40 , two customers at the bar in one seated. There were three of us the waitress came and took our drink orders, then asked for our food orders. For lunch. Didn't hear from her at all after 35 minutes, two of us put a couple dollars on our table and left. And the third stayed another five minutes and was never approached again.. Lindens is known for their very clean premises, clean dishes and utensils. Generous portions and reasonable prices. Delicious food that will make you wanna have them bring the chef to your table so you can "make it rain" on him or her with 'stacks' of ten dollar bills. Don't sleep on this spot! Excellent service from Ms. Ashley. We're visiting from California and after touring Notre Dame happened upon this place. So glad we dropped in. The main thing that stood out was the great service. They were really busy; however, the lady took time to make us feel welcome and a priority. The food was pretty good. They have cooked the prok chops better the previous times I have been there but they were really busy. My favorites are the pork chops and wings. Food was mediocre at best. Had the philly steak with double meat and fries. Sandwich was dry and very salty and if that was double meat, I would be super angry with the regular sandwich. Just plain mediocre. Not much more to say. Everything from the decor, to the food to the service left something to be desired. I use a restaurant.com to purchase gift certificates for different restaurants around town. 8 pu4chased one for Linden Grill on Western yesterday for $50 and you have to spend $75. Planned on using for wings, tacos and perch for a little super bowl get together. Thank God I called ahead. The girl was rude from the get go. I told her about my gift certificate, she said she knew about it. We started piecing together what I wanted. As im trying to figire out my ratios, she says why would you use this certificate on such a small order? We have out own gift certifactes now. We don't even honor these. Then she hung up. Why on earth would you waste my time and youra then. I called restaurant.com and they were great about switching my certificate to another restaurant. Too bad Linden Grill was so rude. read more

Went there on a Saturday. Special was a double cheese/fries/drink for $5.99 add bacon for $.79. We went ahead and also ordered fried mushrooms and onion rings. Everything was super hot and great tasting. Burger so big I couldn't eat it all. Crinkle Cut fries made to perfection. Fast, Friendly service. I went online to LINDEN GRILL MENU, I decided what I wanted and a number of us ordered for lunch from the office. I paid the person going to the establishment, when she returned she said I owed more then I originally gave her. I looked at Linden Grill Menu again and by that menu I should have been OK. I then went on the Linden Grill Restaurant site and the prices are higher. I called, the person claiming to be the manager was rude and argumentative insisting the prices were correct. The pricing on the Restaurant site are correct but the menu site should be corrected as there are 2 different sets of pricing online. The food was good but I will not order from Linden Grill again due to the rudeness! read more
