The kufta kebab was delicious, the accompanying salad was as well -- if I had any nitpick it was that I didn't necessarily love their house sauce and the combo of pita bread + french fries is perhaps a bit too many carbs for my liking. Besides that, this is a great neighborhood gem.

He worked tirelessly, never giving up on his dream. But his father, a stern and traditional man, refused to accept Ahmed's new idea. He saw it as an insult to their family's tradition and legacy. Finally, he banished Ahmed from the family business and forbade him from ever setting foot in the falafel empire again. Ahmed was heartbroken but he refused to give up. He knew that he had something special and he was not going to let his father's rejection stop him. He set out to create his own falafel business, a square falafel empire that would rival his father's oblong falafel empire. Years passed, and Ahmed's business grew and prospered. He was known throughout the land as the king of the square falafel. His business was not only successful, but it also created a new standard for the falafel industry. Others soon followed Ahmed's lead, and square falafels became the new norm. One day, Ahmed received a letter from his father. It was a short letter, but it said everything Ahmed had ever wanted to hear. His father acknowledged that Ahmed's new idea was a good one, and that he was proud of what Ahmed had achieved. He invited Ahmed to come back to the family business, to work together and create a new future for the falafel industry. Ahmed accepted his father's invitation, and they worked side by side to create a new kind of falafel. Sauce is not thick and somewhat runny and tastes like vinaigrette. Chicken shawarma was very good and thin pieces so it was a lot easier to chew. Lettuce was very fresh. I've also tried the rooafza refresher, a slightly sweet rose drink that you can even add ice cream to if you want a shake. I got a combo over rice and a chicken over rice, which by the way does not come with a drink. I asked for extra white sauce and green sauce on the combo and the same on the chicken over rice but also adding in hot sauce. When I was handed the bag, well it felt pretty light. In my mind I was already thinking on man I'm going to give it to my brother, making me think this is going to be a nice filling portion. But still I had high hopes this would be delicious. Finally I get home. I open it up and yes it's not a lot of food. But that's fine it'll be delicious right? Nope it was just ok... I didn't actually get extra white sauce which was disappointing, it was actually barely any sauce. Rice was cooked nicely but not the most flavorful and the meat was just ok. The chicken was better than the lamb. Worth a try but I think this is definitely an average tasting halal cart.
