I received some quotes from local locksmiths for around $175 - $225, $225 being for the remote key. Then I remembered I am a AAA Plus member and they offer $100 off the key service. However --- AAA ONLY works with ABC Locksmith and they purposely raise the prices so you end up paying MORE that you would have without AAA. Joey hooked me up with a remote key and a regular chip key for a great deal, and then helped me again the next day when I had issues with the battery (luckily, that was the only problem!). I first used this company and it's owner showed up to my house, Joey. He is the man. He knows what he's doing. Picked my Porsche lock, took out the anti theft module, reflashed the chips in that module, and made a new key in less than an hour. Everyone else in town either couldn't do the job or it was crazy expensive. Like 400-550..he did it for 350. So he is good. Unfortunately, he has some shady dude working for him now. I needed my house rekeyed and I called them again. They quoted me 50$ to rekey the whole house plus a service fee. So thats a hella good deal so I have them come. While they were on the way I locked the key in the house with me outside and I called them back to tell them. They said it would only be like another 40$. I agreed. When the guy got there he said it was a special lock that no one could pick and he would have to drill. I agree. Then he gets done ruining my lock and the door opens. Then I say well how are we going to rekey the house then and he said he would have to replace all the locks, but he said I already owed him 350. I was like whaaaat. They said extra 40 on phone. Guy said drilling is 300. I said you never told me that. I only pulled out money to do the job. I had 85$. I told him I could get him the extra 40 that I agreed to do 125 to just enter my house and now have a broken lock. No keys made. No rekey...nothing. and I had yo argue with him to take that amount. He acted like a used car salesman calling his boss. So although I was originally happy with Joey, I was not pleased with his replacement. They can't be trusted without joey running the business and he's gone. read more

I was scammed and ripped off by King key locksmith. I had someone come out to change a lock then had to come back out because the door wouldn't lock the worker was rude about it and tried to blame me he was very unprofessional and I was charged twice. After initial call and quote, I've been told that I have to wait 20-25 mins, which absolutely was not true. after that I have received a call from a locksmith person and he stated that wait is 25 mins as well, after 30 min of wait I called to ask how far away is said person, to which he responded it is going to be 25 more minutes, I waited another 20 mins and reached to him again, to which he stated, Again, 25 more minutes.
