When I order was ready they called my number, I had to carry the pizza to my table but the pizza pan was hot, I burned my hand. I got like three napkins but was not offered anything else. King Leo's is nostalgic for me. I loved coming here as a kid. I'm so happy they decided to reopen. No sauce is like the king Leo's sauce. And the wings! It's not just some hot sauce. They are so unique in there flavors and I literally have to stop here whenever I'm crossing through Bakersfield. The service dies take a little while not you get HOT FRESH pizza and wings every time. My first issue is they have no updated menu. The only thing they have that has current pricing is the paper menu they have under plastic in front of cash register with old prices crossed out and new prices written in. This means anyone going by the old menu they find online while ordering over the phone, will be paying more than they think when they get there. To me, this is also could be an indication on how much the proprietors of this place really care. If they don't care enough to at least supply current paper menus, then why would I think they actually care about the pizza they're putting out? Unfortunately, I did not care for the pizza. Had almost no flavor even with all the toppings. I did really like the wedges! They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and perfectly seasoned. We got one large specialty pizza and a large order of wedges which came out to just over $37. Just not worth it to me. I will not be back. I will say the employees were very friendly. I was invited to King Leo's for a birthday party recently. I had never been here, but I have actually heard a lot of people say it's really, really good. After looking up the reviews, I was not super excited to try it out, but I am really glad that I did! The pizza is pretty basic, but in the best way possible. You know when you were a kid and you would get a cheap pizza on a Friday night while your parents played pool with their friends? This is that kind of pizza. Very nostalgic, for sure! They also have a small arcade, so that added to that nostalgic feel. The prices seemed a little high on the menu, but we were informed that there are daily specials that drastically drop the price, so I do recommend calling in to plan out your visit. Definitely give the potato "mojos" a try, but pass on the salads - they are mostly wet lettuce. I do want to note specifically that the service was fast and friendly! All in all, this wouldn't be my first choice for pizza, but I did enjoy it for the nostalgia! read more

Well I haven't been to King Leo's in about 20 years I think the last time I went to King Leo's it was on Columbus and Haley back in the day so we went to the one on Niles for the first time in a while Got pizzas of course chicken wings and some wedges pitcher of Dr pepper Pizza was good don't get me wrong chicken wings were on point and we knocked out the wedges The only problem I got is that there's no refills and you got to be $299 for another glass of soda come on man that's not cool really but hey the atmosphere was good it was okay but there was a party going on so it was kind of loud so that wasn't cool there's not many games over there to play they got a two or three games to play and all that good stuff it doesn't seem like it's kid oriented like it used to be in a day so that kind of turned us off too cuz I got grandkids and they like pizza so I rather go ahead and go to John's incredible where they can play and get all the pizza and dr inks they want understand this is a local business they've been in business for years and decades but that's all good too but yeah they got to change up the way they do stuff because they're $2.99 for a 16 oz of soda is crazy for a refill Play still looks like it's stuck in the '90s bathrooms are terrible come on man read more

Food is good but the wait time for the food is long if you don't order ahead! The few times I have went, the workers aren't very welcoming, they just stare at you and continue working on other things while you just stand there and wait to order, I understand it can get busy but simple communication can go a long way! read more

Giving King Leo's the five stars they deserve not because they are the old school or childhood pizzeria we grew up on but because they delivered on some good quality pizza. We ordered the special which was one X-Large Combination and a Large Pepperoni, we did order a large order of wedges but didn't care for them but this review is on the pizza and the customer service. The pizza was great, in my opinion it's a bit thicker than the old times but the pizza dough was good, toppings tasted fresh, not greasy and even better if you have for leftovers. I called a day ahead to reserve a table for my daughters birthday and they me told we CANNOT reserve one because it's too late. I arrived with my family and there 13 tables available, their prices for drinks are expensive 5.50 for a large pitcher of soda with no ice so we had to get a pitcher of ice also. I asked if we could bring in our own sodas we had bought for the birthday party and got told it's forbidden. Then we tried to buy some 2 liter sodas there but they said those were only for take out. My wife ordered a xl pizza & a large pizza, the XL was the size of a large pizza and the large was the size of a medium pizza and it wasn't hot it was almost cold. We also ordered potato wedges and asked for ranch, the ranch was free for the wedges but cost an extra $1 for the pizzas and it was only half full. To top it all off all the staff had an attitude, the manager tried to be civil but all he did was talk in circles. I asked if we could bring drinks in just this once then suggested I bought a pitcher of soda. The business is terrible, the service is terrible, the prices are repulsive, and all the games were eating all the coins. I'll never bring my child here again. read more

It really does not hold up to the original location. Every single time i've ordered they just keep messing it up somehow. Last time they had the audacity to say i didn't ask for wings or wedges when i went to pick up my order even though he deadass asked me how many wings & what kind. Like??? ok lie i guess. Now, they somehow finally managed to get the food right, but i also asked for jalapeños & paid for them in person.
