I have been referring friends and family to Mike and Nikki before I could even get an appointment with them! Today was my first appointment (ever!) with Mike. Their salon is in their home, but do not let that stop you! It is the cutest set up ever and has everything a store front has, just smaller and more intimate. You can tell the space was created with care. It was clean and it was GORGEOUS! The music in the background were songs everyone knows and loves (several clients were singing along), and there's a good sized tv for you to watch if you so choose. Mike and Nikki are the cutest and were joking with each other and their clients as they worked, which was so sweet to see. Now to the most important part. Y'all. My nails look tf goodt! I came in there with no idea what I wanted, found a reference picture quickly and Mike did his thing. In the end my nails look better than the reference and I couldn't be happier! I have been looking for a place to get some nice acrylic nails at. I've tried tons of different salons and I didn't think many did a great job. I found king of nails online and the reviews seemed good. So I went in and Mike did such a phenomenal job on my nails. I cant even be more happy with how they turned out. These nails were for my anniversary and they look beautiful. Mike and Nikki are also super friendly and funny, they make great conversation. Overall the experience was amazing. I won't gatekeep if you live in the Montgomery County area this is nail boutique you been looking for. I love this husband wife duo and they love what they do and it shows. The shop is home based, the space for it is very clean, neat very well decorated. Nikki is very meticulous and when I went home I had had random people picking up my hand to look at the designs she hand painted. Her husband is a perfectionist which serves him well the most recent design he has just done is immaculate. I called yesterday looking for a last-minute nail tech and Nikki answered I asked for her soonest appointment availability and she took me right away due to a cancellation! She did a remake of Mike's design they are both SO talented!!! Man did I get lucky, Because there aren't a lot of outgoing and creative techs in this area she was super sweet and super fast! I've been recommending everyone I know to this salon after a year long search around the DMV looking for a stylist who can do great design work. I was so excited to find this place! They do technically perfectly shaped nails (no egg shaped nasty nails here!) They have a lot of bright color options for gel and dip. And my favorite is that they can do almost any design. Wow!!!! I love my nails!! Nikki was friendly and professional! she did a great job on my pedicure and even gave tips on how to maintain the smoothness of my feet between appointment. Mike was great!
