This is one of the only places I'll order and eat a sausage pizza. The crust is crispy. The cheese and toppings are plentiful. Not greasy at all. Two slices fill me up. A business like this, should not be cash only. In this day and age of digital payments and credit or debit cards, not many people walk around with cash in their pocket. To be directed to an ATM in the foyer, have to pay a fee to the ATM company, and my bank is ridiculous. I chose to take my desire to have pizza elsewhere. FYI business owner. Square charges 2.6% plus 10 cents per transaction. That's only .36 cents you lose from your sale of $10. Obviously businesses do this more to hide their revenue than anything else. It's about time more people speak up on these kind of things. Why should your customer pay five dollars to withdraw $20 from an ATM to do business with your pizzeria you could just add 3% to your prices to cover your credit card costs. That would result in a three dollar increase for every $100 a customer spends in your restaurant. read more

The pizza crust and the sauce are very tasty and delivery took less than an hour. However, I was very disappointed with the toppings. For $26, I would expect to have at least 3 pepperonis on each slice! I just ate a slice with one pepperoni on it. Actually, I'm not sure if it did or not. They charge 2.95 for each additional topping and I might have 5 pepperonis on the whole thing!!! If you just like sauce and crust then this is the pizza for you! Otherwise, I'd pass. I fell in love with it about 10 years ago...and had it again today for the first time in years...and fell in love all over again. The shredded, nicely browned sausage was plentiful...the sauce and cheese were delicious...and the crust just the right mix of crispy and chewy. I was very hungry and decided to stop at KOP Because I remember it being fantastic. I was in for a huge disappointment. All I ordered was two plain slices. The fat bald cook eventually put my order in the oven and then probably forgot about it. Only when I walked up to the counter did he suddenly remember my order. The King has been at this location for as long as I can remember. The place burned down once and was rebuilt. Back in the day, when I was a commuter at the Rutgers Camden campus, this was a must stop on the way home, at least once a week. Although my RU days are long past I have still stopped by the KOP infrequently. Last night was my first visit in a couple of years. King of Pizza is large inside and clean and modern. I think they still have that crazy walk up side window that is definitely a throw back and still pretty cool. They serve some other stuff besides pizza, but when the name of the place is the Famous King of Pizza I could never order anything else. My three friends and myself ordered 2 large cheese pies and 4 drinks. The total was about $35.00. As others have written, cash only. The pizza was good, not the best in the area in my opinion, but still very solid. The cheese was melted nicely and the tomato sauce was good. The crust was a good consistency also, not too crispy or doughy. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. The royal King of Pizza deserves more then 3 Yelp stars but not quite 4. I have been going to this place like forever and have sworn that better pizza didn't exist. About 6 months ago my son bought a pizza from them and called to tell me that it was terrible. A week later I bought my usual pizza from them and it was horrible. Paper thin towards the middle, not enough pepperoni and a 6 year old could have sliced it more evenly. I've been coming here since 1989. I grew up nearby. I only realized that I had it so good with pizza once I started trying pizza from different regions like Chicago (deep dish), San Francisco, NYC, London UK, Italy & back home in Florida. The best Neapolitan pizza in South Jersey. Three locations now. Probably the best in Delaware Valley (for you out of towners...the Philly Metro). My fave is a sausage pie. The sausage is shaved and not crumbled. The pizza comes out of the oven in about ten minutes. It's piping hot, crispy and chewy. Its also not to thin nor too thick...its just right. It also has the perfect ratio of crust, sauce, cheese & toppings. They don't offer as many toppings as other less worthy pizzerias but they have enough to cover the basics. The only pizza that I've had better is from L'antica Pizzeria Da Michele in Naples Italy...the creator of Neapolitan pizza. And that's an unfair comparison because in Italy they use buffalo mozzarella and San Marzano tomatoes. So that just shows you how high I rank King of Pizza in Cherry Hill. So if you see the sign you gotta grab at least a slice. Thats how I started out as a kid...with a blazing hot slice out of the oven. Its cash only. After I scraped together quarters from the bottom of my purse and took money from my kid's jacket pocket, and we split a dinner. (If you have ever been the bank of mom, you will understand why I didn't have cash.). It was huge, and for $14 we both ate a delicious sandwich and fries.
