I had a hankering for a steak and cheese at 9pm. (Don't judge me, I had just gotten out of work). So I searched and searched for a place that was open and this was pretty much the only spot. It has pretty good reviews and I remember getting pizza from here years ago so I decided to give it a shot. Ordering was easy- they have an online option or you can call, as I did. The staff were friendly and took my order quickly. They also explained there would be a minimum charge for paying by card. I ordered a half inch steak and cheese grinder with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. I wasn't given a time to pick up so I ran an errand. About 20 min later I showed up and my sandwich was still hot. The meat to bread ratio could've been better but they did a good job of hiding that with the pile of veggies. The steak was lightly seasoned and achieved my goal of satisfying my craving. Who goes to a pizza shoppe and orders tacos, me! Stepping through the door; seeing the owner and his wife plus the menu, I new this was going to be a good experience. King Pizza is a mom and pop hidden restaurant gem. 3/4's of the menu is devoted to Mexican Street Food options; everything is prepared traditionally using fresh ingredients just like you were dining at mama's. The Fried Birria Tocos were divine; the chili Adobo dipping sauce was exceptional; it became a soup after the Tacos were wolfed down. Delivery took long for a Monday night. Then driver never knocked on door and instead goes back to restaurant with our food. I message them to refund me the money back on my credit card and they said they would and they apologize. Next thing you know they are re-delivering the food stating they kept food hot. I guess that's how they do business. Never again. read more

Have been looking for a go to late night delivery place in New Britain and I have FINALLY found it. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was inexpensive without tasting cheapy (like most of new Britain's pizza delivery options). We tried Buffalo chicken pizza, chef salad, wings. Yummy ! read more

Placed my order at 5:18 I didn't get it until 7 o'clock I ordered chicken Parmesan and stuffed shells when I opened the tins it looked like one big pan of cheese there was enough cheese on these dinners to constipate you for a week. The stuff shells were hard as a rock and the chicken Parmesan was terrible. I definitely do not recommend this place! It was so bad I had to throw it away. read more

Place is open very late. Pizza is tasty and there are plenty or other options. I gave them 5 stars because the people who run the place are very friendly. It's a small family owned shop that you would pass by and not even notice. I would definitely go back and order on those late nights and holidays. read more

Delivery is rapid, even for a Friday night at 7pm. Pizza is just okay. Does the trick to satisfy a Connecticut style pizza craving, at a decent price. Wasn't thrilled with my Greek chicken salad. The grilled chicken was very low quality and had a processed after taste. Reminded me of Subway's "oven roasted" chicken "breast", which is some sort of sculpted together chicken-ish thing. I ordered online on 2/16 using the Yelp Eat 24. My order#W85066-5178. I ordered at 7:11pm. My food arrived at 9:15pm. I am 8 months pregnant, have gestational diabetes and have a 6 year old. Needless to say, we needed to eat at a moderate time- 8pm would have been fine-- especially considering the expected delivery time was 45-60 minutes. After 60 minutes, I started calling the restaurant. The man told me he was the manager, his name was Shareef(spelling? Sharef? not sure) and that they were short-staffed that night. If i wanted to cancel my order, I would need to do it through Yelp and there is a delay in getting a PARTIAL refund (not our $38 order plus tip)... When my husband came home to no food, he called and spoke to the same man who said was the manager. Even the driver was very sorry when he saw my big belly at 9:15 as he delivered our pizza, wings, and salad. My husband called the manager again and was told our next order would be free WHENEVER we decided to call again. AS IF WE WANTED TO... BUT tonight, 2/25 we decided to call and claim our free order only to be told we were lied to- there is no manager and the owner's name is Su? Sue? who knows... the man was rude and the woman who spoke to me was even more rude. HORRIBLE SERVICE! even if their pizza was good--- service is first and foremost. Great prices. Yummy pizza. When getting delivery if you save your receipts you get a large pizza free ! I believe you need to save 10 receipts , for me and my boyfriend that's not that hard to do--we generally have pizza night every Friday , so we do benefit from that deal! Besides, never heard of ANY restaurant that delivers that actually rewards their customers for their repeated business ! I think that's a great idea!! read more
