Strawberry French toast after some tasting from the little
Jamie S.

So I've been waiting for them to be added to Yelp so I could review! I am so excited for this town to have such a great "Togo" food option. My kids are CONSTANTLY asking to go back and the food was amazing! Pictures do NOT do it justice! I had the shrimp n grits, the girls had smothered French toast (I don't think that's what they call it, but they should ), and the boy had pancakes. Everything was great! Super hot, large portions, wonderful portions. Just know this place is to go. They have 2 tables inside but it is crowded inside. We were aware of this and expected it so no disappointment there. The food, service, and portion sizes were all top notch! We will most definitely return!!

Shrimp & Grits Bowl with a Side of Toast $16

First off... this is a HIDDEN GEM on the downtown strip of Camden, South Carolina... The breakfast selections AND servings range from the best plates from Grandma's house to gut busting deliciousness from other big name eateries... I must admit.. I have been here before, and the food was good - but not to the point where I'd drive TWELVE city miles for it... on a regular basis... WelpYelp... let's just say - that will be changing - today I had the SHRIMP & GRITS and it was EVERYTHING... The grits perfectly cooked, seasoned with just the right amount of cheese and I DID NOT NEED TO ADD ANY SALT!! WHAT??? I feel like there was more than the typical 5 Shrimp you get at most places.. I lost count! I'm personally not a fan of the spicy Tasso gravy most places serve - so I was happy to see the meaty buttery sautéed goodness over my grits and It comes with the best piece of buttered toast I've had in a VERY long time! The owner Ms K, was so inviting and though the indoor seating is VERY limited & a few seats outside, Many of the regulars ordered to-go. The business is REgrowing fast & Ms K may be in a bigger spot soon - so call ahead to see about seats... Another impressive view.. customers came in looking for a seat, and asked for a recommendation to go elsewhere & Ms K - NAMED ANOTHER SMALL BUSINESS (with great classic breakfast), and gave directions!! I absolutely loved that!! i will definitely make this drive more often & if you read this far - YOU SHOULD TOO!

Waffle cake w/ strawberry compote

It was after lunch today May 13th my husband and I decided to go to Camden to eat at King's Kitchen man it was delicious. Brittany our server was a friendly lady with a great attitude. She checked on us often, made sure we had everything we needed and then some. She was just a very pleasant person. I had decided on the Wings and Waffle both were hot and scrumptious . My husband ordered the Waffle cake with strawberry compote and onion sausage . My son, sister, & brother in law and my husband were there on Saturday May 10th and they all thought it was delicious. It may take a minute when they are really busy because he (Demonte) cooks your order when you order it, including my chicken today I ordered with the Waffle. I am so happy we finally have a GREAT place to eat breakfast, brunch, & lunch, it is so good it's worth the wait and to travel from Columbia, or Bishopville any place in the 30-40 mile range. I just know we will be eating here more than we should...lol

Really good and very friendly staff. Stopped in for brunch then a short walk through the farmers market next door. Food was very good and I'm looking forward to trying other things on the menu next time.

They have fantastic customer service, and our food was delicious. We had the shrimp and grits, whiting and grits, and the pancake combo.

We were seated by the hostess to a nice booth and our waiter was quick to take our orders. We ordered the Grilled Salmon ($24) with a side of Risotto. Our friend ordered the Grilled salmon with Risotto and also a Edamame/succotash side. The salmon was done perfectly and the risotto also was very good. My wife ordered a side salad and I ordered a side Caesar salad. The salads were cold, crisp and very good, although my wife's balsamic vinegar dressing caught her by surprised by the acidity of the dressing. Excellent meal. Our other friend ordered the Pork Chop, which was huge and quite thick. It had a maple glaze on it. I had a bite of it and it was very good tasting...not quite as tender as I would've liked, but that's sort of typical of most pork chops. We were too full to try any dessert. Great menu, good service. We will go back.

After waiting a considerable amount of time he Greeted us by hurriedly saying, "I'm busy with this these other tables, I'll be back to tell you the specials." No greeting, name, "hello". Just rushed off. We waited and waited and waited. When he finally came over we ordered drinks. He never came back with my martini, only water and my husband's beverage. Finally when he came to take our order my husband told him that I was still waiting for my cocktail. He rushed off to get it. Took our order. Delivered it. Never saw him again. Never came back to see if we needed anything or if our orders were correct. Mine wasn't! I had to get up THREE TIMES and ask the hostess if they could send our waiter over. The nice hostess offered to get the missing item from my order. Then to get our check. Then to get to go boxes. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! The waiter tossed the check on our table without a word and left. No apology for the awfully rude and neglectful service...nothing. Did I leave a tip? What do you think? After leaving my husband and I considered going back and tipping the kind Hostess that took care of our table; since she was doing all the work. We always tip 25%. We're going to go back and tip her.

It was worth the drive! I got a iced vanilla oat milk latter which is delicious!! The girl working there was super nice. They have a huge selection of all kinds of books and a little coffee shop area with seating in the back. You can get all kinds of coffee, with different flavors, and they also had about 3 different non dairy milk options (yay!!) I believe they also had pastries and granola bars. So we thought that it was just a rough day, which anyone can have, and we would try it again. When we went back weeks later, and it was even slower! It took over 45 minutes to get 2 drinks and 2 premade muffins! It was insane, and when I asked around the 30 minute mark how much longer it would be the barista/server was really cranky. After this experience I asked my daughter who had tried this place a couple of times too, how her experiences were and unfortunately she had similar issues. So if you try this place, make sure you have a lot of time to wait. Personally I don't think I will be going back anytime soon.

OH MAN, will we be back. There were tons of options on the buffet for all diets and tastebuds. I've been doing a fitness plan, so I ate the grilled chicken, green beans and cabbage. OK, and I tasted the fried chicken and biscuits. It was all DELICIOUS. I was mad when I got full after 1 plate, I had my eye on a number of the other items on the buffet. My husband said the fried pork chops were to die for. He had 3 plates with butter beans and rice. At $17 per person, you get the buffet, as well as drinks with unlimited refills. Just be aware that drink options are only Tea, Water and Lemonade - no soft drinks to be found here! Totally worth it and only open on Sundays, so the place was mobbed. Hope you enjoy!
