Turkey Wing, cabbage, beans and rice, banana pudding
Curly S.

The Banana Pudding was awesome. Wish I had purchased a large. It's literally perfect. 2 1 Entrée 2 Sides I chose included Turkey Wing, cabbage, with rice and beans. I wasn't impressed with the rice and beans. It was bland. Turkey wing was ok. And the cabbage was good. The Banana Pudding was inside the bag and tied up. I appreciate that everything was secured and tamper free but I would suggest they tie cold items in a separate bag so it won't spoil or be warm for the customer.

1 entree, 3 sides: catfish filet, dressing, Mac & cheese, corn muffins, chicken wings, mashed potatoes, greens, and green beans.

Food is excellent. Service is good especially when owners are there. A little pricey but they give you plenty.

The hostess was insightful and inviting, like eating at someone's house who loves you. Outside of all of that the Mediterranean lamb was phenomenal. As someone who has eaten lamb in the Middle East this was delightful, with the rice and flavorful kale it's a wonderful bite full. Large serving sizes...and that grilled pound cake lawd

Music is pretty loud in this small space. We decided on the 3 entrees for 69.00 with a glass of wine. We chose the pepper steak, smothered chicken, orange chicken, catfish and spaghetti, and the bbq catfish. Overall the food was ok., The bbq fish was a little to fishy and the smothered chicken was heavily salted. The star of our 6 dishes was the fried piece of catfish. The food came out quickly but nothing was piping hot. The server was OK as well, he did exactly what we expect of a server nothing more nothing less. I will say next time I would take the drive to the West side location, to me the food choices are better as well as the service.

Not that expensive Soulfood fusion stuff either. Good old fashioned soul food. Let me say, it ain't cheap but there is something for every budget. If you cannot afford short ribs, get something you can afford. Duh. Fortunately, I can afford em and so I got them. They were perfect. Gravy was perfect. I was hesitant about the red beans and rice BUT they were some of the best I've had outside of my own. Greens were delicious as well. The portions were huge! Me and my wife were talking about how heavy our plates were. We each had three full meals of each plate. And when she wasn't looking, I ate some of hers too. She got the turkey wings (fire), mac and cheese (fire), and dressing. She said that was dry but when I went to steal some from her it was all gone. It was some good outside the house dressing. For desert we got the pudding cakes or cake puddings...idk what they are really but it was delicious. I have no idea why this place has three stars. Yall tripping. No, it doesn't taste like YOUR mother's but your mother's might be trash to someone. Is it good still? Absolutely.
