I don't consider this good or bad - just not memorable. I ordered the turkey wings + dressing meal with macaroni and cheese and greens as a side. Nothing was bad! The gravy on the dressing + meat was abundant (I now understand why they post near the menu that if you want the gravy off your dish, let them know), the turkey was a tad tough, and the dressing was homemade and good, but drowned out by the gravy. The baked macaroni was pretty good, and the greens were a tad salty. All meals come with cornbread - that could have been omitted, because it didn't taste fresh. The $20 price point sounded outrageous to me until I got the meal, which was genuinely heavy and the food was packed to the brim. Also, there is no place to sit down, so prepare for takeout. The fried pork chops were too crisp, the smothered pork chops were ok and the baked chicken was great. The sides: The beans were tender but salty. Macaroni was dry but tasty. And when I asked her could I just return the orders to I might add she told me I can come in correct it I don't want to correction I say too far from the restaurant to have to drive all the way back over there to correct something that shouldn't be corrected. Most people make their mac and cheese full of Velveeta with an egg and milk binder, this one was made with a roux! I am starting to drool just thinking about it! The cabbage perfect with a hint of spice, and the biscuit reminded me of Breakfast after Sunday School. The pork chop was really pork steak and left something to be desired but the sides and biscuit more than made up for it and I cant wait to go back to try the dressing.
