Preston did a GREAT job delivering groceries to my family members vehicles as he always does. Some fat lady was impatiently waiting for her groceries to be delivered yesterday. The scumbang manager in the store with long gray hair is always outside smoke cigarettes is a kissass to lazy customers impatiently waiting. She is constantly outside always smoking. The entire store has only one freaking register open for all customers to pay for items. The rest of the King Soopers team is doing nothing. There are so many expired produce items, fruits, vegetables, cookies, candy, soft drinks, yogurt, and meat. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. I am worth billions. Terminate all managers and get every cash register line completely working daily or I will sue you personally. This is my local grocery store. Yes, there is a competitor across the street, but their food prices tend to be higher than King Soopers, with less variety. The front-line and deli staff I've interacted with are both friendly and efficient, which is a hard combo to pull off. I honestly don't mind using self-checkout, so the lack of cashiers at any given time of day doesn't bother me. So, why only three stars? -1 star: In the three years I've lived in the area, the store has rearranged their stock twice. I understand the psychology: the more time people spend searching for what they need, the more likely they will buy stuff they don't need. But when you're autistic like me, that throws the entire shopping trip off the rails. I've left the store without things I wanted multiple times simply because they weren't where I was used to them being. When it's something I absolutely need, I end up spending time and energy I don't have searching for it. -1 star: I generally prefer going to the store instead of ordering ahead, but I decided to try it. I placed my very small order (one meat and cheese tray, one dessert tray) online two days ahead of time, only to be called the next morning to be told "Sorry, we're not able to fulfill your order." I don't know if it's because of lack of staff or lack of planning on the part of store management when it comes to ordering enough stock, but that is a poor first experience with using online ordering. read more

The bakery staff is unpleasant! My company orders cookie cakes with our logo as Christmas gifts to customers every year for the past decade! We've used other King Soopers locations, but were not able to this year due to timing. The original location (Wildcat Reserve Pkwy) always enjoyed playing around with design and making them really festive. We asked for the same but this bakery staff was dismissive and seemed almost angry at the request. When I picked up the order, our logo was printed in the wrong colors and the cookie cakes were as plain as you could imagine. I asked for some of the holiday rings that have often been included in previous decorations and the bakery attendant first said they didn't have any, then gave a deep sigh that she'd have to open the bags, and lastly asked if I really needed that many. This location also charged $2 more per item than the other store that we had to use to handle half the order. If you are placing an order for any occasion that you want to make special, do NOT expect any care to be taken with your order or even a smile from the bakery. read more

The pharmacy here is five stars, and I am so grateful for them! I had an absolutely horrible experience at the Walgreens across the street, and coming to this King Soopers was a night and day difference. They filled my prescription as soon as it was called in, the pharmacists were friendly and helpful, for people dropping off prescriptions their meds were filled within 15 minutes, and I heard the pharmacist personally assuring people she would not leave until their medications were filled. They also have significantly more hospitable hours than the Walgreens. Because of how great the pharmacist and service was here, I will be transferring all of our family's prescriptions here! read more

I've been a frequent shopper here for years now, but unfortunately I can't ignore this one glaring issue any longer. Lately, each time I've been trying to use the self checkout area, the machines call an employee over after every seven items or so. Less, if the machine doesn't like my bags. At first I thought it was me, but no, this isn't just happening to me, it's happening to everybody. I was at the store last week, and there was this employee literally having to do something for almost every customer, apologizing to everyone as he tried to get these machines to leave us alone. It was so bad, that he apologized to me when he first fixed something for me, then when he had to fix another error (two minutes later), he didn't remember he had already helped me due to how many people he had had to help. According to him, this has been going on for over a month..... What??? How has this been allowed to go on for a month? Has no one noticed this? I would go to a normal checkout lane, but this place only ever has one open. How is that supposed to help anyone? C'mon, King Soopers, let's fix this... read more

Goodness this place is a zoo. Carts are all broken and all over the parking lot typically. There's only ever 2 registers open, so just do self check out. The pharmacy people don't have a clue what they're doing. I've had to wait in line twice now for 20 min for an RX due to my normal pharmacy being closed. read more

Corporate needs to know that the deli area is overwhelmed during the lunch hour. I told manager Rob upfront about the young man working very very hard in the deli and cant keep up and was told corporate is not giving enough hours. This is the closest King Soopers to my house. HOWEVER, this is the second time in less than two months that I've bought rotten food. I either grab from a shelf and later find it rotten once I get home or it's delivered from the service they provide. Does this grocery store not believe in checking date??? Where is the standard. I used to love the pharmacy here, but it has gotten so bad that I will have made three separate trips in the last 24 hours about a prescription that I called about three days ago. The first time I went, I waited half an hour til their lunch was done. But, my prescription wouldn't be ready for 2-3 more hours. Drove back this evening and the line is so long (wrapped around the nearby aisles), I had to leave again because I have to be at something by 6 pm. I allowed around 20 minutes to wait in case they were busy, but when only one person moved forward in ten minutes, I knew I would never make it with at least 10 people in front of me. Tonight is the last night of my prescription, so I have to come back tomorrow AGAIN and hope that the line doesn't wrap around the entire store. I just left this place I'm a transplant from Texas and ran in to grab medication. I was at self check out and was unable to complete the process , I needed assistance to bypass the system. This older and the older lady working the check out came to help but instead provided attitude. I asked her to by pass the system and she said if I tried to do it on my own and I advised yes and she muttered under her breath "you would know if you read in English" I heard her and I asked her what she said and she said Nevermind. In general, KS is not my favorite. I'm wary of stores that feel the need to post a security guard at their front door. That, combined with the difficult parking lot and the store's odd interior arrangement, and I generally will shop elsewhere if given the option. There's a Safeway right across Mineral that I've found is generally much nicer. For what it is, this King Soopers is okay. It's not terrible; it's not great; it's just okay. There is one area, though, were KS has a leg up on the competition: there is a particular frozen vegetable mix of bell peppers and onions that I just can't find anywhere else! It's really great to keep around for adding to pasta recipes. You've got me by the peppers, KS, and that's why I will keep coming back. read more

Not sure what is going on at my neighborhood King Soopers but on 12/22/19, I bought packaged green beans. On Christmas Day when I was about to cook them, I noticed they were rotten. Expiration date was 12/14. We took them back on 12/29/19 for a refund and found there was still easily 10 packages of expired green beans out on the shelves. We alerted a manager and when we left 45 minutes later, they still hadn't removed the rotten food. We ended up finding another manager and walked her over to the rotten food...she removed it immediately. Today (1/5/2020) I went to buy a bag of carrots, every single bag of carrots (not the baby carrots) had an expiration date of 12/20/19. I get it's the holidays but this is pretty bad. read more

I live right by this King Soopers. In fact, I grew up going to this King Soopers. Last night I came into the grocery store and filled my grocery cart to the top. It was about 9 pm when I was ready to be checked out. Right when I am approaching a clerk, he turns his light off. So, i looked down the aisle of all the registers and nothing was open except for the self check out. Bummer. Being 7 months pregnant, working 13 hours and considering the fact It was after 9 I was tired. Doing self check out is the last thing I really wanted to do. However, I sucked it up and started proceeding to check myself out one grocery at a time. All of a sudden I get the "Help is on it's way." on my screen.My screen was giving me all these errors. I had no clue why that is!! So, I looked up to see if a clerk can assist/or the fact that the clerk already knew I needed assistance. Whatever, everyone was in their own La la land. The manager was collecting money from all the registers (he could careless what was happening around him), clerks were just gabbing with each other... A few seconds later I noticed a blonde lady with glasses walking over to my area. She must have received my alert. WRONG. She walks up to a couple two screens down and starts chatting with them and then said "Let me just get you guys all taken care of myself." I was ignored. I patiently waited for probably a minute, but no one came to me. No one was really around to assist. So, being the tired pregnant woman I left. I walked out. Groceries in bags and groceries in the cart. I knew walking out that I should have gone to Safeway just right across the way. I never struggle getting customer service there. I probably will hesitate walking into another King Soopers again. Safeway, Whole Foods and Trader Joes will get my money from here on out. read more

Last week, I dropped in to see the florist at lunch time. I asked if there was any way she could put together a brilliant bouquet of flowers that would have that super WOW factor. Shell not only stopped everything she was doing, but in a mere 20 minutes, she put together an arrangement of flowers that went above and beyond my expectations! I have never seen such a beautiful arrangement of flowers! They were simply AMAZING!! If you are ever in need of flowers (men especially) see Shell at King Soopers. Love the store, it has everything I could ever want. It's clean, within walking distance to my home, and when I spilled dirt from the plant I was buying on the floor someone ran right over to help me clean it up. i just live up the street from the store and have been a customer since it opened. when it opened, it was great-store was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. since then it has all gone downhill. store is dirty, management is incompetent, staff is not helpful and when pressed have an "i don't give a shit" attitude , preferring to gossip with their friends, maybe if ks paid them more than 6 dollars an hour, they would get better help.this store also runs out of merchandise often.
