Went to the Mt Pleasant location tucked away in a shopping area off of Hungryneck. The service was good and they were nice. The food portions are very large! I ordered the Thai Lettuce Wraps appetizer and it does say on the menu "Appetizers, for all" and it should say "Appetizers, enough for the whole restaurant" lol. I also pictured the little pre wrapped Thai Lettuce rolls, I've received at other restaurants. It is not the case at King Street Grill, you must assemble your lettuce wraps. I basically just turned it into a salad. The pickled cucumber and red onion salad was absolutely amazing. Along with the marinated soba noodles, I did not add any protein. My grandson ordered the appetizer portion of nachos, and it was amazing. He could not finish it, obviously. (Reference previous portion size) my granddaughter got, the kids size sliders with fries. I love the option of building my own salad, but if you're not careful you can pay A LOT of money for that salad! I love salads but not $25 +++ on one. The servers are great and I'm sure they have to handle shocked customers with grace and smiles!! The half priced salad days don't include the half price on the proteins. Doesn't seem quite fair! I've been coming here since they opened. I love the atmosphere and the food is usually pretty darn good!! The servers and bartenders are awesome. I've been going there for over 6 years. The last visit there was tonight. The happy hour seating at the bar was completely full at 5 pm. We requested seating at the booth in bar area and e were refused seating as it wasn't technically part of the happy hour seating area. We then asked to speak to the manager. the " Manager" refused to accommodate my husband and me. We asked if the happy hour prices could apply in different seating area since bar area full. This review is based on delivery as we haven't been to the store yet. The food has been excellent so far and well packaged arriving still hot! We appreciate the stapled bags as an extra layer of protection for uninvited grabby hands! Haha The southwest egg rolls are a favorite- still crispy packed with black beans, corn and cheese and the chipotle dipping sauce is just spicy enough. It's a big portion so much so that the first time we ordered we didn't have too much room for our dinner! I got the Madeira chicken - the first time it was grilled chicken and the sauce was mixed in, but not too messy because the mashed potatoes sopped it up pretty well. The second time I ordered it came different- fried chicken and the sauce in the side. Not sure what happened there, it was still good fried, but they skimped on the sauce. Prefer it grilled as that heated up perfectly the next day ( on account of those yummy egg rolls) Hubby got the blackened chicken and shrimp pasta and added an extra side of blackened chicken. He enjoyed the blackened seasoning and boost of protein! Pasta sauce was creamy and reheated well adding a little milk. The southwest chicken pasta was so flavorful- cheesy, tons of grilled onions and peppers. It was really good cold the next day too! Sounds weird, but it was delicious! The service is hit or miss but the space is large with an outdoor seating area, so it's a lot for servers to be on top of when the place gets busy. If you're looking to engage in meaningful conversation over drinks and nosh, this is not a good venue for you. With 20+ televisions and a very energetic happy hour scene, it's loud. But its sports bar vibe and the bar crowd are exactly its draw. Burgers and wings are solid. For the same price as a burger there are also mains that are available in half-portions which I personally enjoy. If you're headed back from the beach and require air conditioning, nibbles, and a cold one, KSG should be on your radar. read more

Dinner with our daughter. Turned out this quiet little restaurant wasn't too bad. I had the Asiago crusted chicken over angel hair, my daughter had the penne with sun dried tomatoes and my husband had the meatball sliders. The sliders were spot on delicious. My daughter's pasta was fantastic. My Asiago chicken was surprisingly not that flavorful. Ordered a side of baguette which came out lightly toasted with butter. The bread was ok. The restaurant was clean and the kids play area outside was packed. Lots of family fun out there. Inside there were monitors all around for sports watching. King Street Grille is a great place to stop in for a low key bite or beverage. It's a convenient location just off the IOP connector makes it a great meetup place pre or post beach. I usually sit at the bar because I can always grab a seat and they serve the full menu. The bartenders are so nice and very quick. Their burgers do not disappoint. Their happy hour goes till 7pm every day and they usually have specials in the front of the menu. Went on a Sunday afternoon and was seated in a booth right away. There was football on every TV but I don't believe any "big" games (I really don't follow sports). Family friendly, friendly staff, high chairs available. Very large wrap around booths to accommodate more than 6 people and high tops by the bar. I built my own salad which I was happy with. My husband had buffalo wings which he really liked and my toddler got the grilled cheese with French fries. The French fries were waffle cut and seasoned great. The grilled cheese was dry toast with melted cheese. Maybe they make it that way so it's not greasy for kids? Either way my son loved the fries and wasn't into the grilled cheese which was understandable. The ridiculous price for wings is what got my attention mostly. Almost $20 for 8 wings!!!!! They stated that the Chicken Asiago was the hot ticket item and their signature dish. It was mediocre at best. The wife got a make your own salad and it was decent. The staff do need a refresher on customer service skills though. Spanish Fly Burger: The pretzel bun wasn't really my cup of tea, but everything inside the buns were very delicious, and it came nicely together. The jalapeno and the chipotle sauce has a kick to it, but it went nicely with the sausages. The waffle fries that came with the burger were pretty crispy, which I very much appreciated. Brisket sandwich was not all brisket but rather supplemented with what appeared to be ground beef. Reuben sandwich was "Meh".....! It was playoff night, but the restaurant wasn't crazy busy and once someone came to the hostess station we were taken to a table right away. As we approached the table I easily saw a balled up straw wrapper. It's white, the table is dark - you couldn't miss it. The hostess ignored it, sat out menus down, and was ready to walk away. I stopped her and asked if someone could wipe the table down. It had not been wiped at all!!! Not even a cursory swipe. There were crumbs and drink rings and on it. The same hostess did go get a rag and wipe the table. We started to sit and I saw the booth seats were in the same condition. Crumbs and wasted water! It was disgusting.
