Super fries were awesome. Cheese was super gooey and stringy which I love the spice level was perfect no complaints just wish it was cheaper but everything's expensive now. A super fry and a torta was almost 40 bucks.

    $12 per Torta, worth it.

TORTAS MUY RICAS! This place needs to be discovered. The bread is super good, very generous serving of meat. The premises are very clean and new.

I've been here about 3xs now and I have to say pretty impressed and I say that just because the meat marination is delicious . Whenever I get asada it's literally just straight up beef no marination whatsoever or really greasy but asada here is delicious, flavorful, no greasy or oily taste . It's also not dry either .I tried their asada torts which was about $13, super fries which I got twice now has been consistent which is about $18? I would say a little pricey. It always seems empty when I order but it looks as if people tend it take it to go rather than dine in. Toppings are always fresh looking which I appreciate because I feel sad when I get wilted veggies or brown avocado . for the super fries though there is no onion or cilantro and you would have to ask for it if u want it. I don't think they charge for it but I think it's delicious when there is onions & cilantro. The fixes ya know?

It has been a long time since I have had king torta. I loved the chicken and Al pastor tacos and I appreciate that they added cabbage and quac on them. Wasn't a huge fan of the carnitas. Next time, I'll probably opt the Chile verde burritos, it was always tasty from what I remember. It was dead quiet when I visited, basic interior, but all the tables appeared to have been cleaned. Staff was not overly friendly, but they got my order out promptly and correctly.

This place is legendary for their tortas

I've been craving a torta and was in the area so decided to stop in. When I first found out this place was coming to West Co I was so excited! I had gone to the one in Los Angeles when I worked out there from time to time and recalled good experience and great tasting tortas. This location is just across the street from the newer Haven City Market in West Covina. When it comes to the food it's good but wouldn't say amazing. I got the carnitas torta and my son got the carne asada fries. The torta was about $11 some thing and it was ok. Kind of wish I'd have gone with Al pastor or asada. I had the last few bites of my sons asada super fries and would say those were a little better. Although they should be for $16+. As far as the torta goes to be honest id say for the money next time I crave a torta I'm going to El Bukanas. Much better bang for your buck there. I also recall at the one in LA they had a "King Torta" - huge plate size one - but didn't see it on the menu. Maybe it's an off the menu option. The size of the standard one was about the size of a bulillo - average bulillo. It came with carnitas(your protein option) shredded lettuce, beans, avocado, onions, and cilantro. This place is super sanitary and clean. I feel like when I came here before the pandemic they had a salsa station etc. now they are behind plexiglass and can only get salsa at the counter. I had the green salsa - my go to. It was good but came in super small but cute containers. They are located with a small/medium size parking lot at Glendora/Vine. If you are headed North on Glendora or West on Vine you can get in the lot easier otherwise a u turn is needed. The service was good and there wasn't much customer traffic on a early Saturday afternoon- 2 groups and us - take out. We got our food relatively fast!

I absolutely love their super fries, they have some of the best fries, I love the fresh cheese! The only downside is the price $17 with tax. My son and I used to come here at least three times a week until they went up on their prices. Their potato tacos are really good as well! So I would give 5 stars for how good the food is but 3 stars for the prices

First time visitor and it will not be my last. Corner location makes this a very easy restaurant to locate. Be warned that the parking lot is extremely small. Perhaps six cars max. I was forced to park on the street which was no big deal whatsoever. The restaurant is small but a decent size with perhaps ten booths. It is very clean and organized. The menu board is clearly visible behind the counter and there is protective glass across the entire length of the counter. The young lady who took my order my very nice, friendly and knowledgeable when I asked her a couple of questions about the ingredients in several items. After placing my order, I sat in a booth for five to seven minutes when my number was called announcing that my order was ready for pickup. Wow! That was quick. Food presentation was great and the taste of each food item was FANTASTIC! I tried a little a sample of each item shown in the attached photos and I was extremely happy and satisfied with the taste, freshness and preparation of every ingredient. The avocado/guacamole fries were DELICIOUS! I had never tried such a combo and it was PERFECT! The chicken burrito was cooked and prepared perfectly, the nopales taco was a also a first for me and i instantly became a fan, the vegetarian torta was tasty, fresh and sooooo good! The horchata was so refreshing on a hot day. This was definitely a great dining experience.

Always great, my favorite is a special request... Chicken Tacos with guacamole, sour cream and cheese... OMG when I say delicious, I'm not joking! Best Chicken Tacos around! Their Chicken Torta is really good too. I'm only giving 4 stars because my Husband always orders the the California Burrito but in my opinion, it's always way too greasy! Very clean establishment, fast service and friendly yet polite staff.

I grew up in El Sereno and would always go to the original! I moved out to OC and rarely have a chance a to even get out to El Sereno to get a torta and super nachos so I was real sad until I found out there was a second one by my moms place! Now we go as often as we want and the food is always on point! Staff is nice, they got good AC, and they food is delicious just like I remembered it as a kid!

The restaurant has plenty of seating and the tables are far apart, which is very nice especially if you have a large crowd. The staff was very welcoming and professional. The restaurant is pretty rustic, but clean. Their bathrooms are very clean also. The restaurant is located in a strip mall off of Glendora Avenue in the heart of West Covina. The food offers your standard Mexican crowdpleasers such as Menudo, posole, combination plates with enchiladas, rice, and beans. I ordered the chicken mole. This is a sweet mole, which is my fave! My plate came with a side of rice and beans and of course, the complementary salsa and chips. The salsa by the way was delicious. I'm always hesitant ordering more from restaurants because the chicken is usually reheated or a Sam's Club or Costco rotisserie but this one blew me away. They definitely know how to prepare the mole. My platter included two chicken thighs that were clearly cooked in their own broth and simmered with the mole sauce, which is how you're supposed to make it. It it was the perfect consistency and just the right amount of sweetness... It was just like how my grandmother used to make it. The beans though... Blew me away. They took me back to refried beans my grandpa used to make. They were so delicious. I hardly touched my rice because I wanted to eat all of the beans. I ordered my platter with flour tortillas and I got too big flour tortillas so there was definitely plenty to go around. The mole sauce alone with the flour tortilla was delicious. The restaurant offers your standard soda, fountain beverages, as well as homemade Jamaica. They also offer Tamarindo and Horchata, but those are not homemade. The Jamaica was delicious just like how my Mexican mother-in-law from Michaocán makes it. It was the perfect amount of tart and sweet. I heard from another patron that their soors are very good but unfortunately I did not get to try one. She described them as not being too doughy and being on the thinner side so they are definitely crispy. I am going to have to go back and try one next time I'm in town! Looking forward to going back for more! Enjoy!

When I was a little kid, my dad loved going to El Loco for the machaca burritos. I remember them being really good, although in fairness, my palate at the time was probably not exactly Michelin ready. So when I realized this El Loco was still around, I had to come check it out for old time's sake. I went with the chili relleno burrito, and I'm happy to report that it was delicious. And enormous. This thing was so big I could probably take a nap on it. It was cheesy, packed with flavor, and just plain old satisfying. There is one little caveat, though. I noticed the total seemed too high when I paid, and sure enough, I had been overcharged by about four bucks. I pointed it out, and the woman immediately apologized and said she'd made a mistake. I don't think there was anything nefarious going on, but it did leave me wondering how often a mistake like that goes unnoticed when someone isn't paying close attention. So, you know, maybe keep an eye on your receipt. Still, that's a relatively minor ding on what was otherwise a really good experience. The burrito was great, the nostalgia was strong, and I got to revisit a place that I remember from when dinosaurs still roamed the earth. And here's a fun little piece of movie trivia: Good Burger, starring Kenan Thompson, was filmed at this very location. Did we expect the tacos to be better than the ones at Disney's DCA at a 10 rating? Especially since these were soft not fried like DCA's. No, but tell you what, these were an 8 since we are comparing. NOW, the next day, I heated up the leftover 2 tacos in my air fryer at 425 for 6 min. Guess what? They are a 10 out of 10, just like DCA's!!!! Fuego can you fry these up? I My husband and I shared the surf and turf burrito. It was large enough to share! Heavy, packed with moist rice, melted cheese, birria and shrimp. Only modification we ask for was no pico and no chipotle crema. The shrimp was freshly cooked on the plancha and to perfection (had a snap). I was worried at first, no one wants rubbery shrimp. This was by far our most favorite item, and probably the best burrito i've ever had!!!! My husband said he'll buy me my own next time. Sorry, I don't have a photo. We gobbled that up so quick. A Fun Little Mexican Spot for a Birthday Celebration!…read more Came here after work to celebrate a coworker's birthday, and we were greeted with a pretty good vibe and atmosphere! It wasn't packed at all around 5 PM on a Thursday, which was perfect for a little after-work dinner. The restaurant has a cool, casual Mexican vibe, and our waitress was super friendly and attentive throughout the meal. La Cosecha Molcajete -- $39.99 | 7/10 This was actually my second time ordering the La Cosecha Molcajete, so I already knew what I was getting into! A molcajete is basically a sizzling stone bowl filled with grilled meats, seafood, veggies, cheese, and a flavorful sauce--all served together so you can mix and match every bite. This one came loaded with skirt steak, chicken, two shrimp, cactus, cheese, and chorizo, along with a side of rice and beans. I also asked for both flour and corn tortillas, but only received the corn tortillas. Flavor-wise, it was decent! I've had molcajetes at several other Mexican restaurants, and I'd say this one was good but not my favorite. The sauce was flavorful, but I've definitely had better sauces elsewhere. Still, there's something fun about having a giant sizzling bowl of meat, shrimp, cheese, and all the fixings landing on your table! A few of my coworkers ordered other dishes that you'll see pictured, although I didn't personally try them enough to give ratings. My coworker did mention that the shrimp tacos were good but that she's had better. Overall, this is a cool little spot to grab some Mexican food, especially if you're looking for a casual place to hang out with coworkers or friends. Service was friendly, the atmosphere was nice, and the molcajete was definitely fun to order! Would I come back? I wouldn't say no! There are still plenty of things on the menu I'd love to try. Happy Eats!
