***Update-went to get a burrito and the hubby kindly asked to chop the meat up & its as if they purposely gave me the biggest pieces. This is the 3rd time i try to give them another chance and it just hasnt been the same as previous orders. I will no longer eat here. We come here for the asada burrito! Service is so good. Burrito is delish just wish it was more consistent-sometimes the meat is huge pieces which i dont like. But the flavor saves it. The green salsa is so good. Definitely a good place to visit often.

A local gem of a Mexican food establishment that you should try! The owner here is very friendly, and greets you with kindness. The restaurant here itself is quite small, with 6 tables only that seat 2 per table. It is located in a small plaza with a limited number of parking spots. I usually get myself a burrito here and it comes out fresh and delicious! I definitely will be back to try their other menu options!

one of the kindest owner i've met. been here twice already and both times met my standards! i got the cheese enchiladas plate and it was my 7 year old niece first time trying it, she loved it and we ordered it the 2nd time. the mexican rice is so soft and good. the carne asada burrito is my favorite, it's flavorful and stuffed. chips and salsa are complimentary. sodas are free refill as well. please support this small mom and pop shop!

We got the cheese enchilada plate and a carne asada quesadilla. Pros - I came on my lunch break and the food was ready in about 5 minutes! Perfect if you work local looking for a quick lunch. - food was good. Not the best I've ever had but solid and was a generous portion. - nowadays you won't get much cheaper than $26 for a lunch/dinner for two. - friendly cashier Cons - none Overall 8/10

Tacos alpastor and sope de carne asada and taco of carne asada. Both meats bomb.

The best alpastor tacos and sopes! Bomb! As a Mexican woman I am picky with alpastor meat but here it's bomb.

The restaurant has plenty of seating and the tables are far apart, which is very nice especially if you have a large crowd. The staff was very welcoming and professional. The restaurant is pretty rustic, but clean. Their bathrooms are very clean also. The restaurant is located in a strip mall off of Glendora Avenue in the heart of West Covina. The food offers your standard Mexican crowdpleasers such as Menudo, posole, combination plates with enchiladas, rice, and beans. I ordered the chicken mole. This is a sweet mole, which is my fave! My plate came with a side of rice and beans and of course, the complementary salsa and chips. The salsa by the way was delicious. I'm always hesitant ordering more from restaurants because the chicken is usually reheated or a Sam's Club or Costco rotisserie but this one blew me away. They definitely know how to prepare the mole. My platter included two chicken thighs that were clearly cooked in their own broth and simmered with the mole sauce, which is how you're supposed to make it. It it was the perfect consistency and just the right amount of sweetness... It was just like how my grandmother used to make it. The beans though... Blew me away. They took me back to refried beans my grandpa used to make. They were so delicious. I hardly touched my rice because I wanted to eat all of the beans. I ordered my platter with flour tortillas and I got too big flour tortillas so there was definitely plenty to go around. The mole sauce alone with the flour tortilla was delicious. The restaurant offers your standard soda, fountain beverages, as well as homemade Jamaica. They also offer Tamarindo and Horchata, but those are not homemade. The Jamaica was delicious just like how my Mexican mother-in-law from Michaocán makes it. It was the perfect amount of tart and sweet. I heard from another patron that their soors are very good but unfortunately I did not get to try one. She described them as not being too doughy and being on the thinner side so they are definitely crispy. I am going to have to go back and try one next time I'm in town! Looking forward to going back for more! Enjoy!

The service can take a little bit if time if there is other cars in the drive thru... but, it's well worth the wait. If you hungry... this place will not disappoint. They filled that tortilla with beans, eggs, sausage and potato's. That tortilla was holding on for dear life. Look I'm a sucker for a good breakfast burrito and this one hit the spot. They didn't skimp out in the sausage and eggs. Most places fill it with beans and fillers. Rero's did not do that, it was a good ratio. Fries - look, you cant mess up fries. When I was a little kid, my dad loved going to El Loco for the machaca burritos. I remember them being really good, although in fairness, my palate at the time was probably not exactly Michelin ready. So when I realized this El Loco was still around, I had to come check it out for old time's sake. I went with the chili relleno burrito, and I'm happy to report that it was delicious. And enormous. This thing was so big I could probably take a nap on it. It was cheesy, packed with flavor, and just plain old satisfying. There is one little caveat, though. I noticed the total seemed too high when I paid, and sure enough, I had been overcharged by about four bucks. I pointed it out, and the woman immediately apologized and said she'd made a mistake. I don't think there was anything nefarious going on, but it did leave me wondering how often a mistake like that goes unnoticed when someone isn't paying close attention. So, you know, maybe keep an eye on your receipt. Still, that's a relatively minor ding on what was otherwise a really good experience. The burrito was great, the nostalgia was strong, and I got to revisit a place that I remember from when dinosaurs still roamed the earth. And here's a fun little piece of movie trivia: Good Burger, starring Kenan Thompson, was filmed at this very location. Did we expect the tacos to be better than the ones at Disney's DCA at a 10 rating? Especially since these were soft not fried like DCA's. No, but tell you what, these were an 8 since we are comparing. NOW, the next day, I heated up the leftover 2 tacos in my air fryer at 425 for 6 min. Guess what? They are a 10 out of 10, just like DCA's!!!! Fuego can you fry these up? I My husband and I shared the surf and turf burrito. It was large enough to share! Heavy, packed with moist rice, melted cheese, birria and shrimp. Only modification we ask for was no pico and no chipotle crema. The shrimp was freshly cooked on the plancha and to perfection (had a snap). I was worried at first, no one wants rubbery shrimp. This was by far our most favorite item, and probably the best burrito i've ever had!!!! My husband said he'll buy me my own next time. Sorry, I don't have a photo. We gobbled that up so quick. A Fun Little Mexican Spot for a Birthday Celebration!…read more Came here after work to celebrate a coworker's birthday, and we were greeted with a pretty good vibe and atmosphere! It wasn't packed at all around 5 PM on a Thursday, which was perfect for a little after-work dinner. The restaurant has a cool, casual Mexican vibe, and our waitress was super friendly and attentive throughout the meal. La Cosecha Molcajete -- $39.99 | 7/10 This was actually my second time ordering the La Cosecha Molcajete, so I already knew what I was getting into! A molcajete is basically a sizzling stone bowl filled with grilled meats, seafood, veggies, cheese, and a flavorful sauce--all served together so you can mix and match every bite. This one came loaded with skirt steak, chicken, two shrimp, cactus, cheese, and chorizo, along with a side of rice and beans. I also asked for both flour and corn tortillas, but only received the corn tortillas. Flavor-wise, it was decent! I've had molcajetes at several other Mexican restaurants, and I'd say this one was good but not my favorite. The sauce was flavorful, but I've definitely had better sauces elsewhere. Still, there's something fun about having a giant sizzling bowl of meat, shrimp, cheese, and all the fixings landing on your table! A few of my coworkers ordered other dishes that you'll see pictured, although I didn't personally try them enough to give ratings. My coworker did mention that the shrimp tacos were good but that she's had better. Overall, this is a cool little spot to grab some Mexican food, especially if you're looking for a casual place to hang out with coworkers or friends. Service was friendly, the atmosphere was nice, and the molcajete was definitely fun to order! Would I come back? I wouldn't say no! There are still plenty of things on the menu I'd love to try. Happy Eats!
