This is a great little gem in West Covina for Mexican. I've driven by a hundred times but now I finally stopped in. Glad I did! I walked in and was immediately greeted by the friendly guy behind the counter. Interior is small with a few tables and seats.I was impressed with the amount of choices on the menu. I ended up ordering a Chili Verde burrito, wet style. It comes with chips and a side of green and red salsa. The chips were crispy and flavorful. The burrito is filled with tender and moist chicken, rice and cheese, covered in a wonderful green chili salsa. I'm looking forward to returning to try something else on the menu. read more

***Update-went to get a burrito and the hubby kindly asked to chop the meat up & its as if they purposely gave me the biggest pieces. This is the 3rd time i try to give them another chance and it just hasnt been the same as previous orders. I will no longer eat here. We come here for the asada burrito! Service is so good. Burrito is delish just wish it was more consistent-sometimes the meat is huge pieces which i dont like. But the flavor saves it. The green salsa is so good. The Owner whom is usually your waiter, makes the best Mexican food so far that I have had within a 15 mile radius. Every time you get a nice portion of hot very tasty food with spice if you please. Nice atmosphere comfortable, small but you can look out the front windows. So good just moved here and I've been trying to find a good Mexican food spot/restaurant. This is a very good one in my opinion. Food/Meat is well cooked. Soft not too chewy, not overcooked , or over seasoned just cooked to perfection. Staff is very friendly btw. Has parking outside and tables inside. I see a lot of people came in and did Phone Orders I'm guessing that's the best way here and it must be that good that people don't need to come in to see what they want . It's a small place and there wasn't any other customers there mid day on a Saturday. The man at the counter took our order quickly, and our orders came out in roughly 15 minutes. We initially planned to dine in, but our order was packed to go, so that's what we did. I ordered a wet burrito with carne asada, and my friend ordered a bacon breakfast burrito and chili fries. My burrito was large, but unfortunately it was mostly filled with rice with a bit of beans and carne asada. My friend ate through 3/4 of their breakfast burrito before he ran into the sole piece of bacon. The chili fries was decent though. Overall, we didn't really enjoy our first visit here, and wouldn't recommend this place based on what we ordered. Also be aware that you will get charged $1.50 for paying with a credit/debit card. I asked for red and green salsa and they were both very good and had a kick which I loved. I wish they had a Torta Cubana.. but I've realized it's not very common here in California. It tasted ok while we were there but we were sick all night couldn't go to bed until late. You charge me full price on my soda and still had the nerve to charge me for more soda! It costs him Pennie's to give soda refills. That's extorting the customers in my opinion. This is a small, independent business that makes quality food. Years ago, I used to get breakfast burritos here. They were the best in town. I ended up moving, but upon visiting after several years had passed, the owner remembered me and I was warmly welcomed. After dealing with a lot of unrelated life difficulties, the warm welcome was greatly appreciated! They are super nice and don't mind if you need your meal personalized, i.e. no cheese. Finally tried something new, because my favorite meal is always their cheese enchiladas plate and al pastor tacos. I always wanted to try their chile relleno, but was skeptical as I always get disappointed when I've tried it else where. I finally had their chile relleno, and now it's my new favorite dish. It's the BEST chile relleno I've ever had! I scraped all of the red sauce the chile relleno was smothered in with their tortilla chips. I've been craving it since, and I can't wait to try their chile relleno in a burrito. The owner and employees are always so warm and friendly. It's a tiny place with a BIG MENU! The food is superlative, flavorful and delicious! Last night I had the Chile Verde Wet Burrito (around ten bucks) and it was HUGE! It looked delcious and tasted even BETTER! I was very hungry but had to end up taking some of it home with me; my wife and I could have easily shared it. I was really blown away at just how good it was; big chunks of marinated pork in an authentic green sauce that was sooooo good! Don't be put off by their location. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE FOOD HERE! The menu is literally HUGE and you can count on the food being freshly prepared and HOT (one of my personal pet-peeves is COLD FOOD). It's so fresh that you could order it to go and when you get home, everything is still hot and fresh~ I love this place. What a little hidden gem, in West Covina.
