I heard this is one of the best spots for hard tacos, so I had to try it for myself. The tacos were pretty good, and I'd get them again. I'd recommend eating them right away since they get soggy fast. I'd also order a la carte, as I wasn't a fan of the rice and beans (too salty for my taste). The burrito was good, and I'd probably get it again. The flautas use the same shredded beef as the tacos and also got soggy quickly, so again, best to eat them right away. I wasn't a fan of the salsa though, but I had king taco's green salsa which went great with the tacos. read more

This Rero's is in West Covina. We don't get out there a lot, but we have been twice, once to eat there and one to take away. This place is just as good as the one in the Marina. I have seen they have been cited by the City for violations. For me, the two times I have been there, it is clean and the place is very cute and comfortable. The service is really nice. They pay attention to you when you tell them what you don't want on an item and what you do want. They are patient and kind. The food here is great. They make great tacos, taquitos and their guacamole is so so good. We also love their burritos and enchiladas. The prices are very fair and we will be back when we are in town. read more

Ordered the Al pastor nachos to go and asked for all the sides in separate containers. Went to heat it up later at home and the nachos tasted amazing! The Al pastor was flavorful and wasn't dry. They use actual cheese instead of nacho cheese as well. The ingredients tasted fresh and you can ask them for different salsas for free. The nachos also came with jalepenos. This was definitely enough to feed two people. They have a small parking lot and some seats outside the store. Service was excellent. Would definitely come back! read more

Reros is usually my to go spot for crunchy tacos, and they never disappoint. So I decided to give their breakfast burrito a try. It was basic as hell. No flavor, no seasoning, and had to be saved by the salsa. One other thing, they never get the salsa order right. You ask for red, they give you green. You ask for 4, they give you 2. Little things like that matter. I also don't think I'll be back til they get that fuc*ing C up on their health inspection. read more

Ok and convenient, nice that there's a drive through. We were going east and decided to stop by for some quick breakfast burritos. Ordered online - 1 bacon and 1 chorizo/bacon with salsa. It came with chips and the salsa was solid (has 4 kinds) but the bacon burrito potatoes were too big for my liking and the chorizo burrito was really oily. I love Rero's, and I recommend this joint to anyone who is ever in the east SGV. Their burritos are massive and delicious. Being a vegetarian, I'm partial to the meatless options, and they do not disappoint! I always have leftovers when I come here because the burritos are so darn big! They also provide you with a side of tortilla chips and salsa. I like the chipotle sauce and the green sauce the most. So good. It's also a cute little joint with outdoor seating only on the patio. There's two drive thrus, both of which take tap to pay (thank god because wow I've been lazy recently!). The service is excellent, unfortunately I did not get his name but the younger gentleman with glasses was very respectful, friendly, and helpful. I was greeted with patience as the attendant tolerated me going back and forth with my kids to settle their order: bean and rice burrito, carne asada fries for myself, and a formidable taco salad for wee one. Food was hot and good! I think I had about 3 lbs of food in carne asada fries - a huge portions that I didn't finish. The mixed reviews really did not do much to entice me, but I figured "why not?" I actually have passed by this small drive-thru restaurant many times but never realized it was a restaurant that sold burritos. California Burrito, Asada $13.95 Choice of Meat (Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Pollo, Carnitas), French Fries, Cheese, Sour Cream, Guac, Chipotle Sauce Salsas (Mild, Verde, Hot, Habanero) A small bag of chips are included with the burrito, along with all the salsas. I love chips and salsa, but the chips were a bit too thin for me, and not crispy enough. While I love how flavorful the Carne Asada was, the cut of each piece was just too big, like 3/4-1" bites. One needs to diligently chew each piece, and our jaw was getting quite exhausted after a few bites. I also had an avocado skin in my burrito... Meanwhile it's great that "real" avocados were used, that was a first for me, to have a piece of avocado skin in my burrito, ever. I love burritos, so this was a bit disappointing for me. The skin of the burrito also ripped a bit. A burrito is all about the tortilla (and the ingredients and flavors on the inside) and how it holds everything together. The mixed reviews were spot-on. Service was nice. Food took awhile to prepare, for only one California Burrito. In short - I think this a pretty good Lucky Boy Breakfast Burrito Competitor on the East Side of the SGV! So this place is near the West Covina Mall and it's a pretty small place. There is no indoor section but there is outdoor seating. Most of the people I've seen go through the drive through here. I ordered the breakfast burrito and I was able to choose two toppings without extra charge. I ordered the bacon and sausage breakfast burrito. By default it comes with beans but I think in the future I will skip the beans. There are 4 different salsas that you can choose from and there is like a mild, green, hot, and habanero. I asked how many sauces I can get and if it costs more to get extra salsas. I was told I can get as many as I want so I tried the first 3 minus the habanero. I would say that's A+ service since most places charge you for extra salsas. I got 6 salsas and I would have to say my favorite one is between the mild and the hot. The "hot" isn't super spicy and it's around medium. The burrito itself was huge and nicely packed. They didn't skimp on any of the ingredients. It was nice and big and it barely fit on a 10 inch paper plate. After eating around 7/8ths of it I was really stuffed. It passed the test of not feeling hungry after eating it. On top of this, they also gave free tortilla chips and it goes great with the salsa. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Good sized breakfast burritos and a great value. No extra charges on the salsa is a huge plus!! I would get at least 3 salsas as the cups are small and don't hold much. You also need salsa for the chips! I was having a lazy Sunday, and didn't feel like cooking. I decided to try their carne asada fries. My first impression was that the customer service was really good. They answered right away, patiently answered all my questions. I was a few minutes early for my order time and they were accommodating, and tried to get my order ready since I was there even though I said I would wait as I knew I had come early. I choose the salsa Verde. It was really good. The French fries were a little cold and the cheese wasn't melted at the bottom. The meat pieces were a little big for my liking as another reviewer commented. That's the reason I gave it 4 stars. read more

More recent 5/2025- chicken burrito with guac, no beans nor cheese - it's the yummy shredded chicken, maybe I can ask the mild salsa to already be inside Ok, they are excellent in that they are a drive-thru and they open I think 7AM+. Their sauces are good, and I tried everything, they do a lot of things decently. The flautas I prefer over the taquitos, and they give a lot of guacamole, but I'm just okay with their guacamole. I like their shredded beef, and especially their chicken - I had it as a cucamonga burrito which also had guac, mhmm good burrito. Their taco salads aren't good cause there's no rice, and the salad/lettuce itself isn't great. Tried chile verde, carnitas, asada, and lengua - all were just ok. But their hard taco - so greasy, but the lettuce/cheese match, pretty good. Menudo has plentiful meats, but just okay for me. They say you get what you pay for... and although it's a bit pricier than other places, you can see where the money is going. Granted I ordered at 7:45am and maybe it was because it was so early that it was overlooked but that's not something I wanted to bite into ): The flavor itself was really good though and the Al pastor was delicious. The size of the burrito was big enough that I had it for breakfast and lunch hahah. I had gotten some for friends and neither of them finished their burritos in one sitting either, so you could totally split a burrito between two people! Very disappointed to be writing this review. However, what took place today was enough for me to say I'll never be back! This morning I picked up 4 breakfast burritos and took them home. Upon cutting the burritos in half to share with my family, four of us were sitting at the dining room table and all of us simultaneously said that something tasted off with the burritos. The thing that was off was the refried beans, they tasted burnt. The taste was so off putting that we couldn't even eat it all. We had 2 1/2 burritos left over and my kids gave their left over pieces to our dogs. Although, I was disappointed I decided I'd call the restaurant just to give them a heads up. Because I've never tasted their beans like that, ever! Mind you me and my family have been supporting this establishment since the day they opened up. Upon calling, a young lady answered and I shared our experience with her too where she was apologetic and put me on hold. When she got back on the line she asked if I'd like a refund or if I'd like to come back for more food. To where I told her "I appreciated the gesture and that I wasn't expecting that but if I could get a refund that would be great! " She said no problem, she asked me for my full name and phone number. And for me to feel free to swing by when convenient." I said "thanks" and that was it. 6 minutes later, I received a phone call from the same young lady saying that "her manager wanted her to call me and ask for me to bring back the food or to please supply proof like a picture of the food!" I told her "that we had obviously eaten some of it and only had 2 and a half burritos left" she said "that's okay!" I eventually worked my way back there and the lady that helped me was apologetic and kept saying she was sorry but that management said "They tried the beans and there was no indication of the beans tasting burnt or off. And that because we chose to not bring back all four burritos they'd only refund me for two burritos" I completely understand that there are people out there, that are opportunistic. but they are the ones who offered a refund and then had the nerve to insinuate that we were lying! I told them to feel free and try the burrito that was completely sealed up and was untouched because I would absolutely not want to waste $58 dollars on any kind of food! Plus, I came back to their establishment twice! It was the way that the situation was handled that was completely unacceptable and unprofessional to me. I feel so disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere. Do better Rero's! read more

Swung by and gave this location another try, and was impressed the second time around. I tried some asada tacos and al pastor, and the asada comes in really well seasoned chunks, buttt the al pastor definitely needs some work or else I would've gave it 5 stars. The al pastor almost has some sort of sweet taste to it, and I expect for of a savory/spice to it. They also throw in a bag of chips with your order which was a nice touch.
