I was up early after a long night of barely sleeping. Staying overnight in a guest room above a garage at a nearby horse farm. Starving, I checked in with my family and told them I was running out to get something to eat and some coffee. I don't know why, but the young man who was at the window handed me my iced mocha, and said.. here, its on me. He didn't ask for payment. I will never know why. I was trying so hard not to show the emotions that riddled my mind the night before. And said nothing but thank you, and wished him well. I arrived back at the farm. Sat down at my mother's feet. And gently rubbed them. She took a strange, deep breath. It was her last. She died with me, my sister, and my aunt at her side. If it wasn't for the young man who saved me seconds of precious time.
