They made special notes in his file, like how he gets anxious in thunderstorms, so they could take special care with his unique personality. When our trip was unexpectedly extended an extra day, they were more than accommodating. They truly went above and beyond to make sure he had everything he needed for the extra day. When our pup was too stubborn to get in the car, they gave me a hand and helped lift him safely into the back of my Jeep for the ride home. Couldn't speak more highly of this amazing place!!

Dr. Garmin sat on the floor to play with my doggo to make him comfy with her. I also wanted to mention cause I saw some not great reviews regarding pricing. They told me they would charge me $25 for his senior well visit and the stitch removal was going to be complimentary over the phone. When I went to get charged they were going to charge me for both the visit and the removal but I brought up the phone conversation and they honored it without even checking with the staff who I spoke to. I really appreciated that. I thought that was an amazing price for both services and I appreciated how they handled the miscommunication. Great customer service!

I could not believe this place called me after my dog has been dead for over a year to schedule his…read morevisit - with a vet he never saw to begin with. When I called the woman who answers the phone in the office - the same one I told at the start of the year to remove me from contact, she blamed it on the boarding care side of the business. But it WASN'T, because the voicemail that I received was from the office for a follow up checkup - where he'd never been once in his life. They also emailed the same with the title of "we can't wait to see XXX again". I can't tell you what sort of grief this has caused me and no one apologized to me when I called to ask AGAIN for them not to contact me - not going back there. If they contact me again for my deceased beloved pet, I'm filing a complaint - not kidding about this.

My beloved indoor cat went missing outdoors for 2 days. The receptionist picked up and was able to immediately schedule a check up at 9:15AM the same day. Once we arrived, we were promptly seen by Dr. Bates within 5-10 minutes. He and the staff clearly know how to deal with distraught, uneasy animals. He checked out my cat for any issues and sent us home with some medication and peace of mind! We are grateful the clinic could take us on short notice and ensure our cat didn't pick up any major illness/bugs during her outdoor escape. It wasn't a cheap vet visit, but it was absolute worth it. Our cat has also been seen by Dr. Bates for vaccinations and fleas within the past few years - both of those visits were great experiences as well!

But yesterday the lady at the front desk asked how she was and I told her that she is good and handful at times but such a great dog to have. She then looked at me and said, "I hope you don't take any offense to this but German shepherds are working dogs and need to be worked. They don't need to be pets." Best boarding kennel in VA! DC prices are way out of my price range and I don't trust the kennels…read morearound here after looking at them. They were all small! After seeing the HUGE kennels at Acres of Fun, I knew that would be the best place to leave my dog for a week. They have in/out runs, too - that are really cool. We left our cat in the 3 story cat condo. Pretty sweet! Our dog has eating issues and has to have special meals, it wasn't a problem here. The kennel is beautiful and it sits on a gorgeous piece of land out in the country- where else would you want to leave your pets?! For us, it worth the drive.
