Maple Korean BBQ is fine if you don't have any standards. For an AYCE buffet, the portions were TOO big and you can only order 4 items per round for the bbq. My spouse and I went, so we only had a party of 2. We didn't know that the servings of meats would be so large until after they came to the table, so we didn't get to try anything else. We struggled to even finish the first round since again, there were only 2 of us. We ordered the spicy pork belly, but were brought plain pork belly that did not taste fresh, spicy bugolgi that was off putting, NY steak which was fine, and the steamed egg which was delicious. The cold bar was not at all impressive. Veg included enoki mushrooms, bell peppers, jalapeños, onions, lettuce, sweet potatoes, salad mix and a couple others. There was also disgusting Japchae. Slimy, no veg, barely seasoned. None of the kimchi was good either. Cabbage kimchi was not sour at all, radish kimchi was limp and not at all crisp, cucumber kimchi was shriveled and salty. The sauces and seasonings were fine. Nothing to write home about and definitely nothing to bring me back. The crushed garlic and lemon slices were my favorite parts. I recommend adding something spicy like a chili oil, pepper flakes or Thai chilies. The hot pot was my favorite part, but only after I doctored the broth. The spicy broth was just a grocery store pack of sichuan base (not even spicy) and the clear broth didn't taste like anything. I put vinegar, kimchi, and onion in mine to even make it tolerable. Again, the portions are also too big to try anything other than the first round. We ordered udon noodles, Napa cabbage, one of the beef options, and glass noodles. A whole plate of beef came out, which we also struggled to finish (we ordered the hot pot and bbq meats at the same time so it all came out at the same time.) If you're only coming with two people, I recommend picking one or the other to get your moneys worth. After tax and before tip the total was 95$ for bbq and hotpot without drinks. One round of meats and a mediocre cold/salad bar is not worth that price. My recommendation for the restaurant, provide proper kimchi, expand your sauce/seasoning bar, reduce the portion amount for meats each round so people can try more things and reduce waste, or turn it into a serve yourself buffet type deal. Self serve noodles would've a great addition as well. Now the service. We had to move tables after we let our server know we wanted to do hot pot AND bbq to accommodate a second burner. Not a big deal, just slightly inconvenient. The ordering process was complicated because the hot pot ingredients menu is a piece of paper separate from the bbq menu. The grill wasn't changed for us until after I started taking pictures of everything which was kind of suspicious but whatever. The restaurant wasn't even busy, I shouldn't have to start taking pictures to get better service (which wasn't even the intention). We did not have the best experience. The price for the quality served is not justifiable. read more

Great Korean BBQ experience! Our server was super friendly and helpful--we really appreciated how attentive he was, always checking in and changing our grill without us having to ask. The salad and vegetable bar was fresh and well-stocked, and the variety of dipping sauces really elevated the meal. They were very generous with the meats, especially the pork belly--definitely a highlight. The boneless spare ribs had a delicious marinade, and the octopus was impressively large and flavorful. The wait time to get in when you are single person is way too long. I stood at the end of a line of families and groups for 30 minutes before I asked if they could seat me as a single. They were not pleased because I took up real estate they wanted for groups. Not my problem. The food, well it is not anything to rave about. The meat is cut way too thick and there is way to much of it if you are a single person. They should tell the kitchen staff to cut down the portions when a single person comes in. The taste is palatable but not authentic. I lived in Korea for 2 years so I know a few things about the food. The banchan is buffet style which I like because I can get all I want. But the selection is small and it isn't really authentic either. Who puts Japchae on a cold bar??? And don't try to heat if up on the grill...been there and done that. All-in-all, if you want something different for a group of you it's okay to try once. The fact that you can't find a Korean person in the place should tell you a lot. I've been here a few times and I always leave happy and full. My favorite thing about coming here is the banchan bar. I love filling my plate up bean sprouts and the different kimchi options. You can also fill up your plate with veggies to grill at your table. You get two different options on the all you can eat meat portion. I like the get the more expensive one for the beef tongue, but this time I got the cheaper one and was just as satisfied as other times. I tried the pancake this time and although it was delicious, I felt like it was lacking in green onion. Definitely put the pancake on the grill to crisp up. All the meats are pretty good, but I recommend asking for half servings of each meat, so you can try more types of meat! Maple is an all you can eat Korean BBQ and hot pot in South Oklahoma City, the other one being Gangnam Korea BBQ in Moore. There are minor differences between the two to really recommend one over the other. In the end, going to which one really should be boiled down to where you live. Maple's seasoning of their meats is a little sweeter which make the meats taste better in my personal opinion. Banchans (small sides dishes) are self served at Maple so you don't have to worry about not having enough. In terms of prices, Maple is the cheaper eat but not by much though. The ventilation system at Maple is not the greatest and the restaurant is smaller. So on a busy weekend when operating at full capacity, be prepared to see smoke. Seriously at times, the ventilation just couldn't keep up. Luckily, your server does a pretty good job at switching the grill cover often so you won't suffocate. Why did I increase my review to 4 stars? It is a unique dining experience available really at only 2 locations. It's surprisingly good for group as everybody can sample a little of everything instead of just one or two items from a traditional Korean restaurant. I love this place. The idea of sitting around a large table with friends, eating, drinking, and otherwise having a good time is awesome. The meat selection is great. My favorite is the pork belly and I also like the steak. The sides are awesome. Where else can you get those great Korean BBQ sides. The sauces are the hardest part. Mixing and matching the sauces is fun, but I've also created some awful combinations. LOL!! The staff is welcoming, friendly, and attentive. As a beef lover I'm a HUGE fan of AYCE meat places although I haven't come across many in OKC. I was so excited the husband said he'd take me last weekend and we'd invite a friend of his along as well. True to our form, we were the first to arrive as their doors opened for the day. The place was huge and my eyes lit up as I spotted the banchan bar. Our server was such a lovely girl. She asked whether we've visited before and I told her we were all virgins to Maple. She recommended we opt for the $19 buffet but as all three of us were big meat eaters we chose to go with the $24 option with the sirloin etc., I really did appreciate that the server didn't push to up sell us. She was also attentive to us throughout our meal as she made sure we had a constant flow of meats and changing of new grills. Korean food is a big favourite of mine and I used to eat it weekly when I lived in Bangkok where the K-culture is almost a way of life there. Restaurants with AYCE there generally don't include japchae, so you can imagine how enormous my eyes grew when I saw it at the banchan bar. Unfortunately, that was one of the few disappointments for me at Maple. It was void of flavours just a sweetness which truly shouldn't be for this dish. My highlight, though, was the baby octopus. Yes, I captured a picture of him on the grill looking like a tiny alien! Because the husband and his friend were squeamish of them, I had to finish the entire portion by myself and couldn't order any squid or Korean pancake to try for fear we'd be leaving foods unfinished. We loved the bulgogi and the pork belly and couldn't get enough of them. Sadly the sirloin was not as we'd hoped because it wasn't marinated and felt very dry and somewhat tough when grilled. This made us realise we should have heeded our server's advice and gone with the $19 buffet. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the flavours here aren't really Korean, just the concept of the BBQ, nonetheless, this is a great place to come and grill to your heart's content. Oh, and a massive thumbs up for the individual bottles of hand sanitser at each table. Korean restaurants are a rare entity here in Oklahoma and Korean BBQ joints even less so. I considered it a privilege to have one open up in this area that is dominated by surrounding American restaurants when Maple opened in 2019. The service has always been friendly and genuine. The staff checks in on the table frequently and are also very conscious about changing the grill grate before we even need to ask. This was somewhat expected when we initially went soon after they opened, but to our pleasant surprise the level of service never fell off in subsequent visits as is often the case with new restaurants. Prices for all you can eat are very reasonable with an expected higher price for dinner over lunch. Our favorite meats are spicy pork bulgogi, spicy pork belly and beef bulgogi. They also have a salad/vegetable bar available with plenty of palate refreshing options. Overall, great option for this area when you're looking for a meat fix. If we were saturated with Korean barbecue joints, they would probably get 4 stars but the dearth of options in the area pushes them up to a 5 for me. read more

I wish I took more pictures when I was here to show y'all the full experience! But it's alright. I know we'll be back so I'll take more pictures then! I loved Korean BBQ and in LA, you are absolutely spoiled for choices when it comes to Korean BBQ. Not so much in Oklahoma, but I'm glad this place exists for that very reason! We went for the lunch buffet on Saturday, and it was only $16 per person. Service was super quick - you get 3 meats/seafood per table until y'all finish those three, then you can order another 3 types of meats/seafood after. We only managed to try four and we were completely full after, but was super happy with what we got! The spicy pork bulgogi was perfect - packed with flavor, good cut of meat, and just tasted all around great grilled. Beef bulgogi was a second favorite. Brisket was alright, and BBQ chicken was my least favorite - I think the chicken needed a slight bit more marination. But the side dishes (Banchan galore!!) were so...so good. All the kimchi we tried were great, and the japchae (glass noodles) is a MUST try. I think the edamame is a tad overcooked, but all in all a great experience and a good price tag too! Came here after being turned away at Gangnam (apparently they stopped their BYOB policy) and I had high expectations but was rather disappointed. First of all, this place isn't even owned by a Korean person. Ok - if you can still make it feel authentic, it doesn't matter but I would like to point a few things out. They advertise hot pot but there is nowhere in the menu that says anything about hot pot. I may be wrong but the menu didn't state anything either. Secondly, our server got everything wrong. We ordered pork belly TWO times but instead we got pork bulgogi and then the second time around, we just didn't get anything. We also ordered ribeye but got beef sirloin instead, and we ordered steamed egg but we never got it. The brisket, LA galbi, and the pork bulgogi was pretty good - not the best, but its AYCE so can't really complain there. The soybean paste soup had a really weird smell. Took one bite and didn't finish the rest. The ssamjang also had a weird smell so I didn't really opt to dip my meat in that. The salad bar was pretty nice where you get to pick your veggies, but it was pretty limited and it wasn't really "Korean." The japchae was overly sweet but the kimchi was pretty solid. I also do want to mention that it is BURNING HOT in there. They also didn't have soju... at a KBBQ restaurant. Pretty dissapointing. Overall, if you haven't had KBBQ before and you want to try, I think it's good to go but if you're Korean and have tried it before, you will definitely be disappointed. This is our favorite kbbq place in OKC! The surrounding area is not the greatest, but we enjoy the food so we keep going back.

The meat was not high quality at all. The service was kinda slow and we had to ask them a few times to switch out the plates because they were burnt. It is a smoky vibe so be ready to smell when you leave. It is nice to find a Korean barbecue place in Oklahoma City especially one that is all you can eat. At $25 this place is an absolute steal. You can even pick a cheaper option that removes some of the premium items. Maple Korean barbecue has appetizers (panchan) that are laid out for you to grab at your convenience. In addition, they have a variety of sauces and seasonings which allow you to make your own dipping condiment for the meats. On top of the meat selection, Maple also offers dishes like soondubu and Korean pancake for AYCE. While meat quality wasn't the best I've had, with some cuts being a bit on the chewier side, Maple does a phenomenal job with how they marinate the meats. Service is fast and the grill gets pretty hot so you're never waiting for long - just make sure you are asking for the grill changes so you don't burn your food. Relatively decent KBBQ joint with extensive menu selections and a "veggie and japchae bar" and also likely the only real KBBQ place in the immediate OKC area, but my only gripe is that the style of service here is different from the service style in a lot of the KBBQ places in LA/California/Virginia where the servers actually cook the food for you and periodically swing by to check on you as well. I was almost shocked when I first went here and the meat was just plopped down on plates near the grill - however, I have been told this may be what the locals prefer (and it may be like that in Texas also, but I have not actually checked). Regardless, the quality of the meat here is top notch and the variety of side dish offerings are good, so I highly advise checking this place out! read more

Takes quick initiative on changing our grills whenever it needed to be. Attentive to all of our requests and always nicely responsive to all of our questions. This place is lucky to have her.
