friday night my wife linda ate at our favorite chinese restaurant which is also our favorite buffet and as usual we loved it.we bring our grandchild here on occasion also and he loves the ribs (he's 2 and a half) but when we take him its a pleasure to see how he enjoys it. david is the head of the place and he maintains a great place to eat. i also have to mention that they seemed to really fix the place up during the pandemic. go there if you want great food and no problems.i should also mention that the prices are still good!! read more

I'm giving this place only two stars its not based on their food but their unfair buisiness tactics .My husband and I have been going to this family run restaurant for years I watched their son grow up.who also works there .When we ordered our drinks we ordered the usual water and tea .When we received the bill they added an additional 2.00 for tea which they never did before. I called over the waitress and said why didnt you tell us about the additional charge .She told us there was always a charge and that was not correct. Then the son and the father came over said weve been charging extra for tea for the past few months so I said if that's the case the waitress should have said something They knew weve been comming here for years and didnt do anything for us. The least they could have done was removed the charge for that one time If they think it's better and worth it to lose a returning customer ir the 2.00 it's very sad and of course the waitress did not recieve a tip This place unfortunately is history to us . read more

Don't do it. Drive past Kingdom Buffet and head to Ginza - you'll thank me for it. Entering Kingdom Buffet you see a large steaming hot buffet which didn't look terrible so we decided to give it a shot. Upon being seated I started to doubt our decision to stay. Things looked dirty and there was Christmas decorations up in August. Reluctantly we stayed - I decided to skip all the seafood to be safe. I ended up with an assortment of chicken, pork ribs, dumplings and rice. The verdict...bland and nearly inedible. Basically bleh. I left hungry and it cost us $32. Thumbs down. As I pulled up I noticed the outside was really dirty and I thought to myself "wow they don't even have time to clean their windows". I have been here several times when visiting my mom, seems to be progressively going downhill even though it is quite busy. They do have decent ribs. Probably our last time though. At last visit a few weeks ago, as I was putting clams on my plate, I noted an unusual one and pulled it out onto the counter - I asked the elderly gentleman next to me to confirm what I was seeing. An open cooked clam with a roach (obviously cooked too) occupying the open shell half. Grossed out, I quietly hurried to the front desk and without apologizing the lady (assume the owner) came there, ignored me, and called out to the kitchen - someone trotted out and removed the whole tray, and she said sorry. As we had desert (I figured ice cream should be ok), a waitress stoipped by and said my meal was free (she obviously didn't mean free of insects). As we went up to pay, I waited to see if the owner would even just apologize. After signing the credit card receipt, I said you know that was pretty disgusting with the clams. Without apology, she said I gave you a free meal (should have comped the two of us). I'm sorry now I didn't take a picture or make a loud comment so more people could have seen it and be warned. Went there for Thanksgiving dinner! They had turkey and all the fixings plus the full Chinese buffet. Everything was hot and fresh and delicious. The one exception was the dressing which was too watery. This buffet is always a good value. I go there often but I wish they would just wash the windows occasionally. I think the owners do themselves a great disservice by leaving the windows get so filthy. read more

Kingdom buffet has been here for years. You may want to look up it's reports on dirty dining. I only come to this restaurant when I'd be better jumping off a bridge. Sure, this place is cheap just like me, but it's rarely serving anything truly fresh. Everything tastes like it was leftovers from the previous night. The swear the sushi is growing. I refuse to touch anything here that came from the sea or a cow. I know how to avoid food poisoning. Only one time, the spare ribs were so fresh I went back twice for them. Most choices are "ok", but I know it's just clumps of fat rolled up in MSG and smothered in a sugar coat. You can't beat the price for this kind of choice selection, but you're better off beating your skull on a concrete wall. The only thing you crave when you think of this buffet is MSG and the cheap price. Standard rules apply: do not use your fingers to eat anything. That's how you get sick. Basic rules of human nature. If you touch the same tongs as the army of hacking, choking elderly, you're gonna catch something. I have never caught any illness from this location because I stick to my chopsticks. The egg drop soup was appropriately yellow. They had a variety of tasty fried things along with those particular seafood options you know and love at these establishments. I haven't been to this location for about 10 years. I love Chinese food, but I am NOT a big fan of buffets. I went on a Friday night about 8 p.m. the place was very clean including the floors and carpets. There was somebody monitoring the buffets and wiping them down. These are the only pluses of the evening. When you enter a good Italian restaurant, sweet tomatoes and garlic should be your first nose. In this restaurant, the overwhelming immediate smell was that of seafood, smelly seafood. Perhaps not bad seafood, but not fresh seafood which would have almost no smell. For my first plate, I went for appetizer material. Some dim sum, fried dumplings, pork egg roll, spring roll, and barbecued spare ribs. The pork in the dim sum had a rank taste and the fried dumplings had too much ginger. The egg roll and spring roll lack sufficient filling, but at least they were crunchy. The spare ribs were very fatty and of cheap quality. I was able to get an end rib which was a little more well done, and it was the most palatable thing on that plate. At that point, I stayed away from the hot table. My next plate had peel and eat shrimp, potato salad, boiled eggs, and some beautiful beefsteak tomato slices. This is not what I came to a Chinese restaurant for, but I felt these were safe choices. The waitress came to our table once for drink orders. We never saw her again, and had to get a different waitress for refills. I gave two stars for the cleanliness and the person wiping down. For food 0 stars. The main question of any yelper is, would you go back? The answer for me is resounding no. Right across the street is the Ginza Japanese buffet which is more expensive by about $5, what they offer quality hot food and real sushi with excellent customer service. I just do not get the complaints. This is a perfect place for the region, all you can eat, big variety and a fair price. Folks this is not a 5 star restaurant based in NY, it is a chinese buffet that has been here for 18 years. We have eaten here since they opened and ALWAYS had a satisfying meal at a fair price. The serving staff is fine, they clear the tables and refills when asked. Certainly enough of a selection and the turnover makes it usually fresh. Yes, sometimes some items may have been there a little long but we always see the staff refreshing it. You certainly get what you pay for and more, what more can you ask for.
