I come here all the time! The food is always hot and tastes amazing! I get the same thing every time but it's my favorite [American] Chinese place to bring a friend because they can order anything they like and I know they'll love it! The lady who works there is literally the sweetest and works so hard! She remembers what I order, and will even notice when I haven't come in for a while. If you go, be nice to my girl!! I like the restaurant itself too, though I've never sat down. It's quiet but there's about 4 tables of seating available and plenty of floor space to not feel cramped, and the mirrors on the wall make it feel more spacious. Definitely give it a try read more

Been going here for a least 10 yrs with very little problems however my last order there was subpar. 2/3 of the meal was rice. Before it was 1/2. There was very little sauce on the protein. Before there was abundant sauce that you could mix with the rice. The egg rolls were warm and mushy rather than hot and crispy. Very disappointed with this order. So Chinese food is one of my favorites. From Egg Foo Yung to Sweet and Sour Pork. The food I had was a 6 out of 10 at best. It's challenging to find a super good Chinese restaurant anymore. This particular one is good enough to try a second time. They have a full service menu to offer a nice variety of choices. For a few bucks they could spruce things up with some fresh paint. I've ordered from China Gourmet in the past, but something has radically changed. The eggrolls were stale rolls of wonton wrappers with almost no stuffing. The crab Rangoon tasted like reheated leftovers; and "beef" in the broccoli and beef didn't taste or look like beef. The steamed vegetables were 90% broccoli. I'm convinced that when you move there are two things you have to find new of in your area. One: doctors, two: a good Chinese restaurant. China gourmet was my first find of Chinese food in the Wellington area and it was a solid first attempt. My husband and I ordered via phone and the order was ready for pickup upon arrival in 20 minutes. There restaurant has a few small tables in side, which were mostly occupied by guests waiting on orders. The staff was friendly and quick to have me on my way with my dinner. The restaurant was also clean inside. I ordered the honey chicken combo dinner which included the chicken, fried rice, and an egg roll all for around $12. Which to me felt like a good value because I get two meals out of it. The chicken was good but I could have used a bit more sauce with it. My husband and I live in the area and have been looking for real Chinese food since we moved here 13 years ago. Yes, we have found great sushi and Japanese but Chinese other than very high-end fusion places have been really hard to find. Actually, this is the first one and it's called China Gourmet! The chicken, lo mein and pork fried rice were the best I've ever had at a Chinese restaurant in Palm Beach County. The prices were fair for 2025, the portion was plentiful and the flavor and taste was delicious! Eat a ton and there was no stomachache to follow either. The family that owns and runs this is delightful. The wife is so bubbly and friendly, the place is true Chinese takeout with a few tables inside if you'd like to sit down to eat it and it is very clean. The sweet children are even there picking up the phone and taking orders. Overall, a great experience, this is our new Chinese takeout spot!!! Going back tonight!!! read more

Open for Thanksgiving! We ordered takeout and it took forever but the food was really good. I feel like they bit off more than they could chew being that only one person was in the kitchen preparing all the food and the orders kept coming. It's was worth the wait though. So here's the deal... Chinese food in the Royal Palm, Acreage, Loxahatchee area so far has turned out to be sub par in general. Been her 25 years so I have a clue about the subject. We love Chinese food when done right. We tried this place because every other place has let us down. The ratings were better than all the other places we have tried so we ordered a BIG order and I went to pick it up cause they don't deliver. I sat in the lobby for 20 minutes longer than when the food was supposed to be ready. On the drive home I was wondering why the food smelled funny... nasty like. (Usually Chinese food smells really good!) I have to say, this is the 1st time ever that we simply took the food we brought home and threw it out. The worst "Chinese food" I have ever had anywhere at any price. I'll admit, being originally from New York, I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to good Chinese food. There, I said it! My mom and I usually will go down to Real Wok on Hypoluxo in Lake Worth for a nice sit down Chinese restaurant. We were in the mood for Chinese but didn't want to drive that far so we looked for a place closer to home and found several good/great reviews on this place so we thought we'd give this a try. Menu looked good, prices were good and the service was quick! Ordered over the phone and they told us 20 minutes and when I got there to pick it up it was there waiting. This place is small and reminded me of the typical take out places when I lived in Queens. We were VERY happy with the food. I got the sesame chicken, mom got chicken chow mein. We got a quart of wonton soup and each had an egg roll. The soup was VERY good! Our only "complaint" was we'd have loved some pork in the soup and not just in the wontons. Egg rolls very tasty and our main dishes really were delicious! I think this will be our new go-to for quick take out! read more

YIKES. I had this place a year ago and it was so good. Had it again today and it was TERRIBLE. The pork fried rice was a dark brown and tasted horrible. You could taste the old oil they reheated it in. Disgusting. And the boneless sore ribs were so old they shredded in my mouth the minute I took a bite. So far this is the best Chinese we have found in the area. Today wasn't as good as the first time but I still really enjoy how the General Taos, Orange Chicken, and Sesame Chicken all stay really crunchy on the outside. The sauce all taste similar on them but I like it. The Bourbon Chicken the first time was some of the best I've ever had, today is was just ok. Wasn't as sweet and carmalized. The House fried rice is good, was lacking some egg and meat but loaded on pork. The chicken in it is so good! I like the egg rolls here, they are cabbage inside and the outside is crispy and chewy! They are consistently late, if she says 20-25 expect at least 30-35. Very friendly and good for takeout. Combination meals are a good deal. Enjoy! read more

Very good Chinese food to go No seating and it looks odd with all of the plexiglass but it is really good.
