After a seemingly good experience, Brooklyn Mitsubishi really dropped the ball. Upon bringing home the vehicle after waiting for hours, there was an airbag light and navigation error message. The vehicle never should have passed an inspection with this indicator on but they gave it to us in an unsafe condition anyway. None of these issues were communicated to us upon taking the vehicle. We contacted Brooklyn Mitsubishi and they had us bring the car back a week later. After ten days without any communication from Brooklyn, we reached out to find out if the car was ready. The airbag issue was fixed but the navigation issue was never addressed. They said they would order a new navigation card (after having the car and doing nothing about it for 10 days). We STILL have not heard back from them, over two months later. We will now have to address the navigation issue out of pocket directly with the dealer. We are a family of five drivers and would never use Brooklyn Mitsubishi again. read more

Went here after seeing one of their interent ads on a suv for $6995. walked around the lot in a very shady neighborhood (bunch of crips standing on the corner) and walked in what looks like a pawn shop. After test driving the suv which badly needed brakes, the salesman said the $6995 price was AFTER you put $2995 down AND finance the car through them which after everything came to a lil less than 12k. me and the salesman agrreed on a $7000 cash price. he disapears for a while and comes back asking for my money down, i hand him 2500 and he goes away again to speak with the "finance manager"who looks like he was kicked out of a rap video, the salesman brings me into the room and the finance manager tells me i can have the car with financing for the retail price which is 12k. Turns out the salesman never spoke with the finance manager, they tried to get me to finance the car so they can get paid (dealerships get paid through the bank for every car financed through them). i asked for my money back and walked out. This place is the ultimate bait and switch operation with either no comminication or they just dont care about you. I would stay away unless you want to finance a 7yr old suv with 72k miles and pretty much no brakes. The place has no morals and everyone is dressed like they just rolled out of bed, I would never go back and never recommend. read more

An independent dealership that spans across two lots on both sides of the street. Street parking is pretty ridiculous, you may have to get a little creative to make it work, or try parking a ways away and walking. These guys jam-pack their cars onto the two lots so there is no parking space, and its a maze sometimes just to get to their front door. Because of this, I was unable to test drive the vehicle they told me I could test drive (!). Plus, one of the vehicles I had in mind looked like its bumper was replaced with a slightly inferior one, and somehow their CarFax went missing. These people are your typical hustle-and-bustle boys club. Some nice and easy, some hard pushers, and a few of the back-room ninja deal-closers supervising the scene like hawks. As expected, it became more and more difficult to walk away after having taken a look, and was pressured to "go home with it today" despite clearly stating my intent. In complete disclosure, it looked like it was a pretty slow day. In a day and age where people have the power to choose and control their buying experience online, I don't think I'll be coming back. No where in this ad does it state this price is ONLY for customers that finance through them!!! I have a fierce love of cars, but not a fan of dealerships...at all. Kings Auto, however, is alright with me. I have purchased 2 luxury cars in the past 6 or so years with them, and have had a positive experience each time. With the VIP treatment, competitive pricing, and excellent advocacy in terms of dealing with the banks, I am totally sold on them. I actually just picked up my second vehicle last night after trading in my first purchase with them, and was thoroughly impressed with how I was handled by the management and staff. I didn't feel pressured at all with the sale and the deal went through smoothly. I am super stoked about my new wheels and will return in a few years when it's upgrade time once again. So while I realize the fact that both my BF and I (who of course, accompanied me) have both purchased several cars combined here, and that could very well have something to do with the impeccable service, I am totally fine with that...I will take it how it comes. First, don't believe their internet adds. The only reason I went here is because I saw a Pathfinder that I liked online for a good price. Should have figured it was to good to be true. I should have gotten a hint when I walked in the place and all the sales people were wearing jeans and polos that were three sizes to big. Anyway, figured I would give it a shot. I brought the add and said this is what I wanted to look at. We go out and look at it,wasn't even the same car. Yeah, it was a Pathfinder and it was the same year but none of the options that the ad said were there and and the pictures were...lets just say a little off. But I figured "what the hell, I came all the way out here I might as well give it a test drive". It took 30min just to get the car out of its spot and then on the test drive the sales guy got a personal phone call. He took it. He talked to his "boy" the entire test drive. The best part. When we got done to talk price he says that the internet price assumes you will be putting a $3000 down payment on the car. So the car advertise as $9000 was really $12000. Great, thanks for wasting my time. Even after a little haggling for a car that I really didn't even want I said no deal and asked for my credit card back (had to give it up for the test drive). He said he gave it to the manager and would have to get it from him. 45, yes, 45 min later I was still sitting there waiting for my credit card just so I could go home. Absolutely horrible. Me and my fiancee went there to buy a car in may , I can't believe the amount of trouble we went through and pressure . We took a walk around the lot sat in a few cars and decided we liked a Nissan Altima 2012. Got heckled through the paper process which took three days. Despite completely telling them we didnt' want to make a purchase we wanted to test drive the car first they let us test drive after 3 hours when we were about to leave. We decided on a grey altima 2012 ended up after long hours of frustration with the dealer muarice we ended up with a car that was registered with a different vin number at the DMV our policy was cancelled and we ended up having to get different insurance on the vehicle. this place is the worst of the worse they scam you into buying a car and then didn't even get the one I wanted. This place is HORRIBLE! My wife (9 months pregnant) and I walked onto the lot looking for a specific vehicle that we saw online, intending to pay CASH $$$ to take the vehicle home with us as long as it was available as listed. The salesman greeted us with little or no interest, brought us to a car that was the same color, but different, year, mileage, and price, plus it had a flat tire!!! The salesman then explained that the prices online are all lies because everything is $3000.00 more expensive on the lot than listed online because it requires "money down". I explained that we were paying cash and he replied "doesn't matter". So in english... they list cars that don't exist at their lot for prices that are intentionally wrong, then treat you like trash when you arrive and ask questions. I traveled up from Maryland after attempting to negotiate a price on a car with them. After applying for a loan to see what kind of rate I could get from them online, they refused to tell me the rate "due to New York State privacy laws". Apparently the the guidos aren't aware of the Truth in Lending Act and other federal regulations regarding loan applications. Despite my gut telling me not to, I traveled to their dealership to check out the car. I should have walked out as soon as the car didn't start when I first tried. The "salesmen" (I use this term loosely because being a salesman requires some level of skill), had no clue how to start or jump the car. After Chris attempted to bully me and talk down to me about why I wouldn't purchase the car, I said I would like to test drive and was told I could do so once the paperwork was finished. Exact quote: "Well man it's raining and we would have to pull 8 other cars out for you to do that." Needless to say I ended up walking out and will likely be filing a complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs regarding their misrepresentations, bait and switch tactics, and refusal to provide me with a loan rate after applying for a loan. Yet another HORRIFIC car buying experience. I called one day about a used honda civic I was interested in. We agreed on a price over the phone and I told him id come in and give him a deposit. He told me there was no need, he's taking the car out and not offering it for sale. This was late at around 7PM before they closed. I get there the next day to come and get my car, lets talk about the neighborhood. Now I understand that not everything can be in a nice suburban neighborhood. But this was THE HOOD. I understood though, not everywhere is a nice place to be. Upon getting inside all I saw from the staff was a bunch of immature goons trying to sell cars. I mean, I don't want to buy a car for someone who asks me "whats good" But once again, I'm just here to pay and get the car for the agreed upon price over the phone. The first red flag was when he told me "Mohamed isn't here and neither is Hermes" Hm thats funny because I spoke to Mohamed last night and told him id be here and I texted Hermes this morning and told him I was on my way. The salesman Chris comes out and says "This car was sold last night" REALLY? I came all the way here in traffic for you to tell me you sold it. I demanded to see Mohamed or Hermes and its funny NEITHER OF THEM WERE IN? Than he has the balls to ask me if I want a different car. This seems to be some sort of bait tactic? Everyone was rude, no one apologized. I stormed out and all the staff was absurdly arrogant telling me theres no reason for me to be upset or angry. When I left I called mohamed and he answered. Do you know what I heard in the background? The same things that I heard inside the dealership. He literally hid from me. WARNING!!!!!!!!!! This place is a total scam, the whole staff is so unprofessional starting from the store manager George Velez. I purchase a car back in 2016 and they added a warranty to the car, long story short. Recently I took the car to the mechanic to check the engine light and they asked me if I have any warranty on the car and I said YES, for our surprised KING'S AUTO SHOW failed to sent the documents to the warranty company so for all this time the famous WARRANTY never got activated, but of course they charge $4K for this service and they got paid. The funny part of the story is the same day we found out about this scammed, I got a call from their service department asking if I want to take my car for service before my warranty expires next month??? when I called them and told them about my current situation, is when they started to rolled the ball. Finally I had the chance to speak to the store manager GEORGE VELEZ, and he's the most unprofessional person, he promise to call me with in 40 minutes the same day (he was going to find out what happened) well that was on Friday! I waited for the entire afternoon and the weekend, until I decided to contacted him on Monday, once again the same STORY, "let me call them and find out exactly what happened to your warranty and I'll call you back " til today I haven't heard NO WORD from anyone.... I have been doing business with them for around four years . I have been a loyal custom to this firm. They have an new GM now; I think the old GM/ team made the negative input about the transition. I went to see if my daughter and I could do business again with them, When we went into the office I was told that their records indicate that I voluntary gave up my jeep liberty; which hinders me from doing business elsewhere. The transition was a "Trade-in" for another car. My records with them is still all wrong. I was told they will investigate and get back to me; I'm still waiting for someone to outreach to me. I have seen a lot of trash written about this place, but I will try to stay out of the gutter. I agree with the last poster with regard to false advertising on the internet for their "specials". I had called with regard to the price of the car I was looking for and they agreed that that was the price on the ad. After my wife and I looked at the car and sat down with the representative, we find that the price did not include the downpayment of 3,000. The price as advertised is the financed amount. What!!! I am not sure who this scam works with. The only reason that we went there was that the price was a few thousand less and figured that since we were paying cash (about 30k), it did not really matter regarding financing details. It is a very poorly run operation with all the sleaziness that you would expect from a stereotypically bad used car dealership. The offices are a bit scary. The sales rep tried to get each of us to bargain when one or the other was away at the restroom. He was friendly enough, but fortunately we did not drop down from space recently without any knowledge of the land and were not so easily misled. At the end, he wanted us to give a deposit (we certainly politely refused) and also wanted us to speak to the "business manager" (which we again adamantly refused). We wanted to get out of the premises as soon as possible, never to return. I have been in business for a long time and have had many many cars. This was probably the scariest experience that I have had, but entertaining at the same time in looking at how they tried in all ways to unsuccessfully persuade us that we needed to have this scam deal. They indicated that we should "trust them". For what?? We enjoyed a very good meal post sale in Brooklyn which was the highlight of our journey in addition to many laughs about this experience. read more

I did a lot of research before going to this place. While I'm not entirely happy with the warranty phase on the car I got, I am happy that 1) The car was as advertised AND was available on the lot. 2) I didn't get a hard sell. What I got was a good salesman who could quickly see that I was determined to get a car in my range, regardless of other deals. In my research, I limited myself to only those cars that had photos; had free Carfax reports available, and read the fine print (so you'll know that "Internet deal" vs. "real deal" is often in the fine print). I was able to get my car for $1K less than the internet deal but of course that was with a trade-in and down payment. I also didn't want the finance spiel - I insisted on looking at the cars first, doing an inspection, telling the salesman that I'd check the car out with my own mechanic. You don't EVER have to give up any financial info or other items, no matter how aggressive a salesperson might be. It's called "walking away" if they do this ... and definitely don't look back. And, I stuck to my budget in terms of the car. I hate that sales tax, warranty, registration, and other BS will add another $5K to any car in NYS, but you have to expect that and negotiate as far down as possible. The first impression of the dealer waiting room wasn't of a barbershop, but it was clean, open, and the seating was new. Unfortunately, water/snow on the roof had caved in, so there were construction people as well as staff milling about. Yes, the sales staff dress quite ghetto; but come on - you're going to a dealership in E. Flatbush ... you really thought you were getting the slickster Manhattan BMW sales huckster? Didn't like that the staff all piled up at the front door while people were trying to go in and out, but it was also raining, so likely they would've spread out more. And the place takes over four lots - not two or just one - as of today. The only thing I didn't like was the warranty deal. I can also re-finance through my insurance to get a better deal. I did the pre-approval route and the dealer had a lower interest rate (surprise!) than what I got from 3 banks. I came out happy with my car, which is older but had just one owner and really low mileage considering that it's 8 years old. But my trade-in was 11 years old and less than 9K/year on it, so that's exactly what I wanted - in addition to an AWD vehicle. The salesperson I had was great ... for a used car dealer. read more

Bait-and-switch operation. Basically, they have ads placed online with fake great deals. The way my bait-and-switch worked: They placed an ad (classified / paid ad) on eBay. You could see the cars price (which obviously was very competitive, compared to the total miles), but you couldn't buy it. You could make an offer. What I instead did, I went there in person to test drive the car. The dealer told me he couldn't find the car, we then drove to a big warehouse (as other reviewers have mentioned, it's a bad neighborhood), where they had tons of other cars, priced differently. Lastly, he took me back to the office again, only to tell me that the car I saw was sold this morning (Ohhhhh... what a coincidence), except - the eBay classified ad is STILL online doing it's bait-and-switch. Anyway - sketchy methods, sketchy people. I am now buying the a similar car directly from a dealership, certified preowned, with 1 year limited warranty. I would not recommend visiting this dealership, unless you want to be lured into questionable deals. read more

I got a promotion from capitol one with pre approved financing so I went down to see what was available. I told them what I wanted to spend a month and what I was looking for. I got bounced between three people and had to start from scratch with each one. Then before I was even shown a car or offered any deal I am brought into the "Managers office" which makes you feel like something is wrong. This overweight blowhard sits there telling how I have to jump through hoops to get approval..."on what?" I asked not having even been shown one car yet or offered one deal. They begrudgingly then brought me out to the lot and showed me a dodge avenger which is neither the wagon or crossover suv I was interested in and for three times what I wanted to spend a month. They have no concept of customer appreciation or service and demonstrate NO listening skills. Then they pointed the finger at me and BLAMED me for what I wanted and what I wanted to spend. What is that about? Did I hurt their frail ego by not wanting some random car off their lot? So now they have to attack me for being "difficult". I needed a new car since my old love finally gave out so i did my research and found Kings auto show i read some reviews some good n bad like all companies but i decided to go and check it out myself. this dealership is in Brooklyn easy to locate so i went in expecting nothing specially since my credit is what you say not up to par especially due to my student loans but as soon as i explained my situation the sales man knew exactly what i was dealing with so he said to me i can promise you anything but ill guarantee that you will leave here with a car that you want and love i was skeptical but after some paper work searching and of course some numbers they were able to find me something that i completely loved and can afford not to mention i got a bit of a class on how to improve my credit. Kings auto show was simply the best LISTENED to what I wanted very considerate and very enjoyable to work with unlike other dealerships that just try to hustle me. If you need a car go here they will help you and make you feel like family or at least a good old friend lol. read more

THE WORST PLACE EVER STAY AWAY. They try to put way pressure on you to purchase on of their vehicles. My credit isn't 640 however it is what it is. Went their they tried to offer me $500 for a trade in. Then wanted me to put up $700 more for a down payment for 2004 Liberty. I dislike that model. I informed they all I want is an SUV. ANYWAY, I gave them $300 (off my debit card) on the Liberty then they tell me the vehicle isn't on the floor it is in Queens and I would have to come back tomorrow to look at it. Afterwards I was like nope, just refund me my money...got some bull stories told me to come back tomorrow for a check. Came back no check instead they try to offer me another vehicle I told them NOPE just refund my money...They took my debit card and suppose to refund my money..still waiting for it to hit my account. If you purchase a vehicle and they offer you bi-weekly payments, what they are doing is allowing a predatory company called National Payment Network to withdraw your payments on a bi-weekly basis but they will only send it to your lender once a month!!! The benefits of the bi-weekly payments will be defeated. Interest will eat up your so-called extra payments. Your loan will not be paid off earlier like you are hoping to do. The WORST part is that they will never actually say NPN to you. Only the "Bi-Weekly Program". You will believe that the bank is withdrawing your payments. NPN will NOT ever show on your bank statements causing you to question it. It will show as bi-weekly loan payment with a phone number. Unfortunately you will only question it when you believe your loan is nearly paid off and they tell you still have a substantial balance due amount . Your lender makes money from the interest, NPN makes money from the fees they charge you, I'm sure King Auto gets something out of the deal, or else they would not even be involved with such a company...unleashing on their customers!!
