I went in to request a quote. The quote was way more than Turtleworks, and the guy who was there was very rude. Not only that, but he did not really talk. He asked me what I wanted, looked at me after I explained, then gave me the price while mumbling. I am well versed in the SpEd world so I had patience however, after some time, I figured out there was no deficit. He was just rude. From what I could hear, through mumbling was that there would be a design fee and the jacket would be $ 160 plus whatever the design fee is. I initially requested additional add-ons for my graduation sash from another embroidery company, but they messed up SO BADLY (if you really want to know what happened, you can find it in my reviews..) that I desperately called the next place I could find on Yelp to see if they could fix it. So grateful that it was King's. Unfortunately, the damage on the old sash had already been done so I basically had to start over with a new sash. Roberta was understanding, patient, insightful, and extremely helpful! Such an absolute joy to work with. The level of customer service is excellent here. She offered her advice on what looked good and made sure everything was perfect on my sash to reflect exactly what I wanted. On top of that, her prices are incredibly reasonable - MUCH cheaper than the first company I went to's prices (and keep in mind that the first company messed up beyond a repairable degree) AND the quality of work here is much better. Once I got the finished graduation sash, I nearly cried because it was finally perfect and they gave me everything I wanted. I would love to give this shop 0 but unfortunately that's not an option. I need 4 pieces embroidered - 2 phrases on 2 pieces, 2 on the other. I saw that people had single items embroidered so I gave them a call. The rudest man answered the phone at the shop....I think in a business that provides customer service someone friendly should answer. I explained briefly what I needed, BRIEFLY.....and he says "12 item minimum" and hangs up. That's it.....??? 12 ITEM MINIMUM and hang up? No sorry...we only do 12 item minimums. In this day and age, with so many choices at our fingertips, my advice is get some better help or friendlier employees. I don't need the attitude when calling to inquire about your services. Skip this place, go anywhere else. Apparently the reviews I read were written by friends, family or employees. Because NO WAY according to the man on the phone are they embroidering anything less than 12 pieces....and friendly service I did NOT get. But hey....if you like i when people are rude to you or hang up on you? I highly recommend King's Embroidery! read more

Starting with yelp reviews, I was very excited to work with King's Embroidery. In the beginning, Larry was very quick to respond to many questions, give quotes, and an e-proof, which looked great. We were ordering both sweatshirts and v-neck shirts for our employees. Everything was done over e-mail and by their catalog and we thought we had made a great choice. Upon picking up our merchandise, we were extremely happy with the sweatshirts, but not nearly as excited about the t-shirts. The quality, colors, and logo were great on both items, but the v-neck was extremely deep (these are mens t-shirts). We were unable to see just how deep they were by the online catalog. We had our employees try on the shirts and realized there was no way we could use them in our establishment. I contacted Roberta to let her know about the problem of the neckline; usually having received a response within the day, I was surprised not to hear from her for 2, especially regarding the issue. I sent another e-mail and received an email asking for a picture of the shirt on one of the men. Having sent the picture, I received a response stating that the logo and colors were what we asked for and they could not help us in any way. We knew there would be no ability to return, but we spent over $400 on entirely useless shirts. I responded stating this and stating again that our issue was the neckline, nothing else, and have yet to receive a reply; I assume our contact has finished as they are not looking for any way to help rectify the issue. Unfortunately, we cannot continue business here which is a shame because everything was great until the neckline issue and the way the problem was dealt with-being not dealt with at all and entirely unacknowledged. read more

King's Embroidery has amazing customer service! I work for a small start up company in Palo Alto and we needed jackets made to celebrate employee's 1 year anniversary. Problem is, most companies don't want to make things on an as need basis or will charge an arm and a leg to do so. I had contacted multiple embroidering companies in the bay area and they all dismissed my order or had a minimum. Larry was very accommodating to our needs and knew exactly what we wanted and how to execute it. The online catalog is very helpful and they also have extended sizes. We ended up ordering black soft shell jackets and every body loves them! They all fit very well and the quality of the jacket and the embroidery is very nice. Overall, I'd highly suggest that everyone just quit searching and take your business here. I found King's online, and saw that they had a pretty large selection when it came to embroidery. I was looking for a personalized gift for a "Secret Santa" exchange I was participating in for my roller derby team, Silicon Valley Roller Girls. I was able to find the perfect gift! I purchased a black terry cloth sports town, and embroiders my secret santa's derby name in our team colors. It came out beautifully, and everyone loved the towel! I should also mention, this was the week before Christmas and I called a few other embroidery shops first, and all were booked and gave an absurd turn around time. Ironically discovering this through a combination of yelp and sheer instinct I decided to give them a shot. What I needed done was just a simple memorial picture on a tshirt. I am glad I was able to get exactly what I asked for. Sure the picture looks just a bit funky, but then again it wasn't that high quality of a shirt of mine anyway. If I ever need transfers or anything done I will definitely give them another shot. The last review I wrote on Yelp was a couple years ago. But after my experience with King's Embroidery, I had to get back on here to give them a review. I'm the Costume Designer for a feature film and called about having a custom logo embroidered for our lead actor's uniforms. Even with this being an independent project and having a modest budget to work with, I still found the prices affordable. The process from start to finish was quick and painless. There IS a 12-item minimum, but I ordered all items from their online catalog, which helped streamline the whole process. The turn-around time is fantastic! I placed a rush order on my items just in case, and they STILL had my items ready one day earlier than they had stated and three days earlier than my due date. I worked with Larry from start to finish. I have to chuckle here because after reading from other reviewers who thought he came off as rude, I have to say that I certainly didn't feel that way. He was short and to the point over the phone, but was quick to communicate. I had my order and eproofs processed within 24 hours. Today I picked my order and I couldn't be happier with the results. We had a special event with neighbors and friends and I wanted to have some caps made to celebrate the occasion. I found King's Embroidery through Yelp and took everyone's advice and went down to their place of business. I met and worked worked primarily with Lora, who was very helpful and friendly. I didn't have an image file, but they were very helpful in creating a sample and emailing it to me for review and approval. Next, they ran a sample cap and took the time to see how it looked. Their opinion was logo should be enlarged a bit and they sent an updated image sample with their suggestion. I was pleased they took the time to review their work and re-size the image before running off all the caps. The caps came out great and everyone was very happy with their look. It did cost a bit more than I was hoping, but I expect King's pricing is in line with what others would charge. read more

I've been going here for about a year now. I have had many different items embroidered for my company. Up until this last visit, I have been going through the trouble of buying clothes and bringing them in to get done. Big mistake - they have a lot of very high end (and lower end) shirts, jackets, hoodies, etc. They must buy at wholesale so they can sale at the retail level - the kicker is, you pay nothing extra for the embroidery. I'm a teacher at Presentation High School and I have to order t-shirts twice a year: in the fall for my newspaper class and in the spring for a field trip. I always use King's. They have a ton of t-shirt options, from short sleeve to long, with different necklines and colors. If I don't have time to choose one of the many options, I can tell Larry what I'm looking for and the price range and he knows exactly what to order. I also like how flexible Larry and his designers are with what we bring to them--they can turn just about anything into t-shirt designs. I've had students create pencil drawings, computer illustrations, and sometimes just ideas (like, "Can you make the number 09 and the 0 will be a drop of blood?") and every time King's is able to produce what we need. They're also more than happy to do as many tweaks as possible until it's just right, even if that means four or five rounds where we're changing the font or the color or the size of the graphic. When we're ready to go, they always send one final confirmation just to be sure, and then the shirts are usually ready within a week. I can't say enough good things about King's Embroidery.
