Ambiance: it's an old fashioned mama and papa food place, only few tables inside and good for takeout Service: very fast and made food freshly Food: menu options are listed on the wall and the black board House Special Combination Mixed Grill - **** Beef, Chicken and Kafta with Rice, Hummus, Cucumber Yogurt and two Pita Bread, beef was great chicken was a bit dry, still recommend for the combo's variety Gyro Sandwich - ***** juicy gyro slices, fresh and tasty, highly recommend Price: generous portions and affordable prices, about $20 per person for a fulfilling meal

The service here was fast and very friendly! I got the vegetarian plate - large portions and super yummy. Would definitely come back!!

I had the vegetarian plate and it was delicious. This is a great little spot run by a couple who are very warm and friendly. I'd recommend checking it out.

This gyro was life-changing. I found myself in the vicinity after a disappointing day of trying to patch a tire which led me across West LA to a tire shop down the street. I was hangry and disillusioned with the state of my day, which quickly went to waste quickly in the midst of my complications. This gyro sandwich is the redeeming factor of the past four hours of my existence. When I entered, I was confused by the lack of prices, menus, and... people. There was an older woman who met me with a warm smile and welcomed me in as if I were her own grandson. She quickly took my order, which left me gobsmacked when I saw that this, unbeforeseen-at-that-moment mystery gyro, would only cost a mere 11 dollars, including tax and a 20% tip. The woman quickly got to work and I witnessed her prepare my gyro with care and intention, shaving it carefully off the spit and garnishing it with a superb amount of toppings and delectable sauce. The gyro was fresh, tender, and satisfied my hangriness and impatience with ease. This is the definition of comfort food. The gyro was served on a random cutesy plate which completed the developing hole-in-the-wall restaurant discovery saga for me. I inhaled the sandwich so quickly it must have startled the woman. On the way out I thanked her for my meal, dropped my dishes off, and she told me: "have a wonderful night, until next time ." This spot epitomizes small business America in a way which no Greek chain (looking at you Daphne's and Luna Grill) will ever emulate. Bravo and I will be back soon.

However, the business personally reached out to me and explained the misunderstanding which I really appreciated. We came back and I decided to give this place another try and my experience has completely changed in a positive way. We got the shawarma bowl and a pasta with delicious garlic and spicy sauce along with a super tangy pickled salad. Everything was so tasty and well seasoned. This place is very serious about how well their food is seasoned and the meats are cooked to perfection. I can tell that the owner, who is super friendly, takes a lot of pride in the business and has a lot of passion for making good food. I look forward to coming back to this place and trying everything else on the menu!

The way their kiosk menu is setup, this was not possible to order. The two people working there were clueless and unhelpful. One didn't even try, I guess he didn't know English. The other didn't quite understand what I was asking for. Anyways, I just settled for a half order because apparently that's all I can order if it's with that bread. Food wasn't all that great. The liver was missing the veggies you see in the pictures. The so called tahini sauce was a thick paste that looks nothing like the runny sauce in the pictures. I wanted to try several other things but this first visit was so bad I don't think I will be coming back.

The food was excellent, but Bashir's hospitality really made the experience special. We had three rambunctious teenagers with us, and Bashir completely charmed them with his great attitude and humor. He even took the time to show them how the food was prepared, which they loved! We enjoyed sitting outside and taking in the evening air. It's located on Beach in Huntington Beach in what looks like an old bar, we came after beach day and we were the only ones here. We came on a weekday lunch and the bad thing is our order took quite awhile to make, we ordered just a little to try different things and add more later but it took so long this just ended up being a snack. The cashier seemed to be the only person working so he had to ring us up, bake, and clean. You can order Egyptian, American, or Mexican way. The protein and food is the same but its spiced differently. The sauces it came with were good, one was garlic based and the other was spicy. Soujouk Egyptian way sausage: Very cheesy and reminded me of stuffed crust or cheese bread. Fluffy and cheesy with sausage and bell peppers inside. Pastrami Pie Hawawshy: Our favorite, it had less cheese and wasn't so heavy with nice bits of red pastrami mixed in with bell peppers.
