Outdoor seating

Trying tuts for the first time was great. The service was kind, friendly, and welcoming. We came in the early evening and although the outdoor seating was empty, the inside was very busy because people wanted to watch the game so if you want a nice peaceful setting with a good balance you can eat and watch the game here! We waited a little while for our food but the food was yummy and we paid attention to the detail, there was a lot of flavor and love put into the food and it was worth the short wait time. Overall we appreciated the food and service and the quality was definitely there as well as quantity. The prices were reasonable for the amount and quality of the food. We will definitely come back again.

Great and affordable meal! It was my first time trying Egyptian food and I really enjoyed it. My favorite dishes were the ful medames and the koshari. The koshari is the national dish of Egypt, and consists of rice, macaroni, and chickpeas, covered in a tomato sauce with crispy onions. It is delicious and will definitely fill you up. The grape leaves are a great bite-sized appetizer to have. And in general, all of the dishes were quite good. Plus, the food is really cheap. Make sure to peruse the desserts available at the front as well!

Ambiance: it's a cozy Mediterranean and Egyptian restaurant, small seating area indoors, and more spacious covered patio outside Service: no one acknowledged once we walked in and had to take a menu and get seated ourselves, then placed the order at the counter, and it took a long time for food to be served, and they also forgot part of our orders and had to remind to get them Food: plenty choices of sandwiches and plates Manaeesh - *** House flatbread with cheese, and za'atar, baked crisp and fluffy, unique flavors Combo Plate - *** choices of Kofta and Beef Kabab with tahini sauce, served with Egyptian rice, hummus, pita bread, and Greek salad, kofta was good, but beef was too dry Price: decent quality and affordable prices, expect $15~$20 per person for a fulfilling meal

I came here for a week night dinner and my experience here was pretty decent. My friend and I split the two person family meal deal with chicken kabab and gyro. The portion size was pretty big and it was a really good deal for $29! There was a lot of meat which I appreciated, but the meat to rice ratio portion was off. There was more meat than rice and I wasn't able to eat much of the meat with rice. The chicken kabab was solid, it was juicy and flavorful. However, the gyro meat was overcooked and crispy. It wasn't the most enjoyable. We notified the server about it and they offered to remake it which we appreciated, but we declined since we were pretty much done with the meal. The meal also came with hummus, pita bread, sauces, and some roasted vegetables (which I wish there was more of). The other sides were pretty good as well. The interior was good, it was reminiscent of a mom n pop shop. It was pretty clean as well. The service was good too. For parking, there's metered street parking outside. Overall, a decent experience here. Despite the overcooked gyro meat, I would come back because the prices are so good, especially for West LA. I also saw they have a $10 lunch deal which I would like to try in the future.

Food here was yummy! The gyro meat was a little dry / overcooked however. But definitely good deal for the $! Service was friendly and inside is just a cute clean area!

Chicken Shawarma Plate to go

Well we were pleasantly surprised ! We were in LA for a short beach trip and staying close to this place. From the first look, it didn't look like much but we did decide to try it. The lunch specials are an amazing deal and delicious! Their chicken shawarma is very good. Their hummus is superb! They are generous with their portions too. The space is small with few tables but seemed cleaned and cozy. Great spot and we will come back if we are in this area.

what a gem of a find! delicious chicken shawarma plate; there was more than enough food for two meals. or at least a meal and a half if you're particularly hungry. they have a bakery of delicious-looking treats up front that i have yet to try. seems like a small family-owned business where more people get takeout than dine in (at least on a friday evening) but the service for dine-in was still fantastic nonetheless.

Gyro PLATE. Tons of food!

I've passed by this place hundreds of times but never went in. I was given a friend a ride and he told me to take him to this place. He said it was great so I made a note of it. I went today and ordered the Gyro. $18. There's enough food for three meals. Delicious! Only one piece of pita bread but that'll save on the carbs, right?? I got two pieces of baklava, ate 1 piece before I started my meal (walnut??). This was also delicious! I will definitely be back! Very nice young lady who greeted me and offered some suggestions!

Shakshuka

At this point, I've had both breakfast and dinner here and all I can say is, sensational. I got the plate combo with beef shawarma and gyro (which totaled at about $20). It was so dang tasty. The meats(really everything) were well seasoned and the portion was huge. For breakfast I got the Shakshuka(Normally only $14, but i got an extra egg) and again, perfectly seasoned and a good portion. I've wanted to try Shakshuka for a while and im glad this spot was my first experience. Service is great and the workers are very kind. Its a cute spot that deserves all the attention. A new go-to for me.

Had lunch here today when spotting this gem driving down Washington. We got two lunch specials with chicken shawarma and a side of fries, which was delicious. The plate was flavorful (but not salty) with a variety of dishes. Make sure that you ask for the spicy green sauce! There was outdoor seating but the awning blocked the sun. The staff was sweet; its family owned.

This place has really bland food. We ordered several dishes and none of them were seasoned properly.

Eggselent shakshuka (sorry, not sorry). Warm and helpful service, pistachio baklava pairs well with Egyptian mint tea.

Excellent food. Probably the best garlic sauce I've ever had. Never been disappointed by anything on the menu. Love this place.

The last time I was over here was when it was a kbbq taco spot back in the day. We arrived a bit after 1pm and the small parking lot was full, much easier to find street parking. Especially since a lot of people mentioned in their reviews a lot of take out orders. We sat in their outdoor patio area and recently it's been windy so be sure to bring a light jacket or sweater. The food took a while, but it came out hot and fresh. The owner said hi and asked if we needed anything which was a pleasant surprise. She was super welcoming! The food was delish. My friend ordered the albóndigas special she saw on social media over the weekend - so it's not always available. I got the Egyptian nachos which was beautifully played with a jalapeño cilantro hummus, chips decoratively fanned out and nice pops of color from the pickled red onions and sliced cucumbers. I am sooo full and didn't even finish my food. Gonna put the extra meat in a tortilla at home! I would recommend and will try to make it out again soon.

I went for the burrito with tahini and galbi chicken, and while it was good, I'll admit I probably went a little overboard with the fusion combinations . What really stands out is how everything feels cooked to order and made from scratch -- fresh, intentional, and clearly crafted with care. The frescas were really refreshing as well. Prices are on the higher side, but that's just the reality of the times, and the quality shows. Overall, Tirzah's is an exciting addition to the neighborhood, and I'm genuinely looking forward to seeing what they do next.

We sought out the Koshary because it is the national dish of Egypt. It was really delicious especially with their garlic and hot sauce added to it. The Lamb Kabsa was really good as well. The flavors were great and I would definitely order it again if I was craving lamb. The Stuffed Pigeon sounded really unique and I'm glad that we ordered it. It was our first time trying pigeon and we all enjoyed it. The meat is pretty tender and the skin was crispy. Definitely a must try if you're at the restaurant. We shared the Kunafa, which we also really enjoyed. The center of the dessert is filled with a sweet custard. You have the option of adding Nutella on the top of the dessert which we didn't do. My main complaint is with the service because our server was constantly away and on two occasions, I had to search for him to place our order and to follow up on payment. The restaurant wasn't very busy as we were one of three tables that were occupied. Our lunch duration was easily extended 30-minutes due to the lack of service. We dined outside. There was a tv playing music. The noise level wasn't too loud as the restaurant wasn't that busy at the time. I will definitely come back for the food, but it would have to be on a day where my schedule can absorb long lunch. If I was strictly rating my experience based off food, I would rate the restaurant a 5/5. Factoring the poor service in dropping my score to a 3/5.
