Crust is exactly the right combination of crispy and chewy, while also being the right thickness for this girl. Add to that, the sauce is a great balance of savory and acidic. And the toppings go alllll the way to the edge! We got a surprise bag but I think what she gave us was 2 10" pies and 2 cookies. I would totally pay full price for these. The lady (I think she was the owner) was so wonderful! There was seating for about 6 people inside, if you sat very close together. While all pizza is good pizza, I was unfortunately disappointed by the cardboard-like frozen/premade texture of this crust. My husband is very critical of pizza and I'd heard good things about this crust from Yelp reviews so I decided to order. The person who answered the phone was very friendly and the order was hot and fresh and tasted fine, but the crust was almost like you were eating a stale cracker. I hate leaving negative reviews for small businesses but I wanted to warn other Yelp review readers about the other misleading reviews. If you're looking for something fast, friendly and close to Kapahulu Safeway, this is the place. But if you're looking for fresh pizza dough, unfortunately you won't find it here. They have a special deal where you get a free cheese pizza if you buy a Hawaiian but even with the free pizza it was still $18. Not cheap for 10" small pizzas. An absolute gem! The soul of kapahulu. This place has great pizza and salads. Their prices are reasonable and I seem to make a friend every time I stop in. I can't tell you how many cool people I have met while just popping in for a pickup order. They also have comedy nights on the weekends, you can catch the local comedians on Fridays for sure. This was the first time trying the pizza at King's Pizza Cafe. We always pass by everytime me and my boyfriend drive down that area. I was craving pizza so I decided to give it a shot, call them, and asked for delivery. I ordered the Queen's pizza. I told them I only have $40 and no other change for my $28 pizza, so the girl on the phone said she's going to let the delivery guy know. The delivery guy comes after 40 minutes. He apologized for being late, and mentioned that he had moped troubles. After I gave him the money, I asked him if there was any change for me. He just said, "It's okay!" And took the money without giving me the change. I'll just let him keep the change since he had moped troubles. The Queen's pizza was delicious! I loved how it was super crispy at the bottom, and at the crust. The pizza wasn't too salty, and it had a little bit of of sweetness added to it. Someone suggested I try King's pizza, I love pizza - so of course I did! I can't comment on the place or the service because the pizza was take out and brought to me. The pizza was fresh and the crust was crispy. The crust was a little dense - not really thin but not really thick (not very flavorful, more bready) but it was crispy! The sauce is definitely on the sweeter side. One half of the pizza we asked for pepperoni and tomato, but there was very little pepperoni on that side, at least they put extra cheese we asked for. I got full really fast because of the crust! This pizza is okay. I still prefer Papa Johns or Pizza Hut (because of the crust). But I like the fact that you can order by the slice here. I think this is more of a munchie, stoner type of joint (they give discounts if you have a medical card lol). Cute little hole in the wall pizza place on Kapahulu Avenue, next to the moped store. I was very lucky with timing and found a metered parking right in the front. I loved the cute and inviting decor and the friendly service. I ordered the hawaiian pizza with ham and pineapples, it was quite good. The crust wasn't the thin crust that I'm used to ordering, but it wasn't too doughie either. However, the crust was crispy and that was nice. It was full of cheese and tasty ingredients. I was wondering how this places prices were so much lower than other places.. because apparently their pizzas are made to feed children under the age of 5 only!!! Save your money do NOT order from this place. We placed an order via Uber and were charged $69. Look at the pics! This order is not worth $15. I get were in HI so prices are a bit on the steep side but I need to order more food now for my family because there is NO WAY this will fill us up. Beware of delivery service! My food came cold. The cheese has a questionable texture and the slices did not cut well. The flavor for both Lions Mane and Mary J's were not enough to salvage the mess that were supposed to be "pizzas". Don't bother ordering the brownie dessert. It's accurate to what many of the low star review said it was: store bought. Ice cream is also frost bitten. I do not know if it was the GrubHub delivery service (it took almost 50 minutes from placing order) or just the food quality being terrible. I do know that I will not order with that service again from this place Only perk is the customer service from employee was good because they did call to update me on changing the crust before proceeding with order. I was driving pass killing time until I could breakdown an event setup, I happened to notice a little window and it said "pizza." I immediately pulled over and found some street parking. Ordered 2 slices one for me, one for my assistant. They had a fresh one in, took no more then 3 mins to get my FRESH and HOT pizza. Took it to my car and literally inhaled it (which is why I got no pic). The crust was phenomenal, just enough sauce and cheese. I would've liked my pepperoni a bit thinner, but that's just personal preference cause it was still awesome. The staff was friendly. They even gave us pineapple gummy candies. Oh King's Pizza Cafe. How did things go so terribly wrong? Pretty much every aspect of our order went wrong somewhere. We ordered 3 singles with salads via Uber Eats. So let's start with the salads. The veggies themselves were fine. But the dressing ended up dressing the inside of the bag rather than our salads. They had placed the dressing in those convenient plastic dressing containers you can find anywhere. But apparently, unlike other places, they couldn't find covers for them. So they covered them with foil. And in case you don't know how watertight foil is...it isn't. Hence the ranch-coated inside of the plastic bag. Okay, on to the pizzas. First one... Ordered pesto... received tomato sauce. Second, ordered the spinach veggie pizza (the name escapes me) with no cheese... Received spinach veggie pizza covered in cheese. Last one, ordered pepperoni combo with no onions... Received pepperoni... Wait for it... WITH onions... I know, you were completely surprised, right? Flavor-wise, I'd say they were good. Not fantastic but good. Crusts we're a bit soggy but it was a to-go order so some sog-creep is expected. Would I order again? If they fixed their procedural glitches, sure. As we were leaving Taste Tea tonight, I noticed a bunch of people hanging out on the side of the lot. I never noticed it before and wanted to check the place out. It turned out to be King's Pizza. I found the names of their pizzas quite interesting. They have the Kings, Queens, Kingston, Diamond Head, Waikiki, Pali, Kapiolani, Kalihi, and Keeaumoku. It would be too long for me to list every ingredient for every pizza, so see the picture below. I got the Waikiki, which is their BBQ chicken pizza. It also comes with olives and onions. I'm not an olive person, so I told them not to put it on my slice. They actually let you mix and match your toppings to make your own pizza. It's $5 for any slice and $20 for any whole pizza. They must make it from scratch when you order it. It took us 10-15 minutes to get my slice. When I got it, I noticed that the slice was huge and cut into two pieces. The crust was thin and crispy. The BBQ sauce was divine. However, there was about 5 small pieces of chicken on that slice. I also noticed that it was the store bought grilled chicken. The pizza was Ok, but definitely not one of my favorites. read more

It's my first FULL day on the island and I stumbled across this yummy pizza place! When I say King' Pizza is the absolute cutest and so retro! It's currently 1:30pm on a Friday and the traffic flow is very calm. I love that they have the door and window open so you can enjoy the amazing island breeze while eating. Pizza It was suggested by Corrine that we split a pie as a family of six. That was a great idea from her, and to me that says a lot about her as the owner. She wants her customers to enjoy the experience and not looking to make money. We ordered the Mary J and The Kong's with no Jalapeños. The pie was HUGE and she cut it into 16 slices so that each of us would at least have two. Decor The decor in here reminds me of the 60s with the record disc and mixed match furniture. That truly gives it the authenticity of the place. I recommend everyone stopping here for a slice or pie! read more

I have to say this. They were available for delivery at 8:00AM and the pizza got me through the day. I respect King's. Availability, reliability and heart mean something to me in this pizza game. Honestly it's just an average pizza but it'll get the job done. If there's no one else to order from. No offense. Don't black list me, King's. It is the pizza of a King actually. It's a hard job and someone has got to do it. Where's the rest of the pizza spots being available at that time? You think no one would order pizza in the morning? Well, I did from here. My family ordered pizza from here after my mom suggested trying this place as an alternative to one of the three nationwide pizza chains that have comprised ~1/7th of our diet since quarantine started. The website (which wouldn't work on my phone for some reason) listed a number of pizzas with interesting flavors and creative names which my dad refused to pronounce when he placed the order. We decided on the Kamehameha, Ah mean dope da curry, Hawaiian, and a cheeseless pizza for my mom which I didn't take a picture of. They have a BOGO special on Thursday which meant four large pizzas came out to about $15 each, which, at least based on a cursory search of deals at chains, came out cheaper than most of the chain stores. The pizza took maybe half an hour to be finished, although finding parking meant retrieving the pizza took a bit longer--and although I didn't go inside my dad described the place as intimate with nice outdoor seating, and apparently had a friendly conversation with the worker inside which is usually nice. The pizzas were definitely tasty. Pretty sizable with pieces cut fairly thin, which was nice given that we had three/four flavors to try. The crust was a bit bready, which I think tends to be popular in Hawaii, and the cheese was nicely melted and chewy (cheesy ?). I think the toppings were particular standouts however--I'm not a huge fan of pineapple on pizza but I think it worked with the kalua pig and barbecue sauce, since it counteracted the saltiness of the sauce and added to the tanginess. The Kamehameha was also pretty good, with fairly standard toppings (and maybe celery?), but my favorite was the curry pizza. It had a nice mix of spice and sweet, but unlike other similar pizzas I've tried it kept a balance between being typical tomato sauce and cheese pizza and having curry, as in it wasn't overwhelmingly curry flavored, but wasn't pizza with an afterthought of curry either. It was both, and it worked super well. The only thing that could make it better was picking up something edible from Cure across the street, but unfortunately I can't buy anything from there yet. Perhaps that will change some time soon (and I'll take advantage of King Pizza's discount for that too). read more

Korina and her pizza continues to be the best in town. For my birthday last year she made a special order... Rainbow pizza and OMG it was amazingly delicious as well as beautiful. Tonight I popped in and the music was incredible. Dr. Bones and Friends even had an extra guitar for my friend to hop on and play. Best pizza and best music. Besides that Korina has a pizza-slice program for the homeless. You simple can't go wrong with all the love here. The decor just tops it all off. Very fun, hip in an old-fashioned way and all just downright perfect. Parking is on the street. Just say the parking prayer and you will get a space. read more

We ordered a veggie pizza and this was a pepperoni with olives. By then it was too late to drive back and get another as they closed while we walked back to the rental. The pizza was an undercooked bland mess. It used a pre-made crust that was flat and reminded me of a soggy cracker. The cheese blend was cheap cheddar greasy mess. The only consolation was that the pepperoni was under cooked enough to pull right off. I ended up recooking it in the oven, adding tons of parmesan cheese and pepper flakes, and cut up fresh garlic. Fun quirky cafe with mediocre pizza. I wanted so badly to like this location especially since it had so much character and the business itself is "mommy owned". But unfortunately I was not too happy with the pizzas sold at this location. For our pizzas, we chose the Kamehameha and the Mary J. The lady working at the time also mentioned that these pizzas were some of the most popular pizzas that they sold. First off, on the menu, it mentions that the Kamehameha has bacon on the pizza. But to my disappointment, it had mushrooms instead with no bacon. This is also a little bit of an issue since the person I was with despises mushrooms and specifically chose a pizza that didn't have that as one of the main ingredients. Bummer. Overall, I felt that the pizza was just OK. Maybe I just picked the wrong ones? Either way, I am not too sure we will be returning but I think the cafe did a great job with decor and atmosphere. I am so sad to say that this was probably the worst pizza experience I ever had from a local business. Ordering the pizza through the phone and having to repeat my order multiple times in order for them to clearly understand me was stressful and annoying. Then, once I arrived which they told me it would take 10- 15 minutes, they did not even make the pizza yet and I was the only one there. Walking into the place, I waited at the front for 10 minutes as the worker was not even aware that I was waiting even though I was in her clear line of vision. She was handling the pizza dough and other ingredients with her mask off her face and no gloves were being used for what she was touching. As I was finally being rung up for my pizza she then made conversation to say that her own family members had covid multiple times (not something you should share with a customer). I felt like the pizza being made was infected with the lack of precautions and the way this place was being managed. Once the pizza was given to me at my car, the person who I received it from was not even wearing a mask. Mistakenly, not checking the pizza there, THE ORDER WAS COMPLETELY WRONG! They are now located at a cute little shop on Kapahulu. Lots of street parking right up front! The slices are big and tasty and and always fresh. Call and ask about their specials. Went in for 2 very simple specialty pizzas that they messed up on not realizing this until I got home. Myself being vegetarian ordered a mushroom and cheese pizza and my spouse wanted a Kings pizza with extra cheese. Simple right? You would think. I immediately noticed BOTH PIZZAS HAD MEAT ON IT. The 2nd pizza was SUPPOSED TO BE A KINGS PIZZA, in which case was pepperoni and mushroom......After arriving back at the wanna be pizza parlor, I let the lady in the front know that both pizzas I ordered were wrong in a very kind and understanding way. Even though I already waited about an hour for the first 2 to be made and mind you was pretty tired after a long day of work. There was no apology or any kind of communication about why the pizza was handed to me as so, except she said "I'll make a new one, should be another 30 minutes"......while making sure she grabbed the 2 pizzas from my grasp. I'm already pretty upset with the experience so far but still trying to be understanding with what could've been the reason for the mixup. Even excusing the fact that I am a vegetarian and no thought given that she was OK with serving me something I didn't order in the first place. Long story short, FINALLY after ANOTHER 30 minutes gone by she hands me 2 new pizzas and by this point I'm irritated, yet excited and grateful she was able to remake this for me. As I walked back to my car, I had a feeling to double check to make sure and sure enough! WRONG PIZZAS AGAIN!!!!! I come back to let her know not even 2 minutes after walking out from the establishment that my pizzas were wrong again and she says "OH, yeah I thought you wanted a Queens pizza.
