To all San Antonio and surrounding areas, My name is John Guffey. I want to say, "Thank you" and Comfort Techs has gained a customer for life. Recently my home suffered from a severe power surge. This knocked out my AC unit completely. I was trying to work with my homeowner's Insurance to have both inside and outside units replaced, with no luck at all. Through all this their management had Fabian and his helper come out and see what they could do to get this unit working again. They worked in the attic a full 12 hour day and did not charge me a dime. I can go on and on, but even though we didn't see what they were doing, and our frustration was building, Comfort Techs continued working to try and get me back online. I will say these guys went above and beyond looking out for me and my family. They contacted the insurance company, they contacted the manufacturer, they contacted local suppliers to try and get us AC. This all started on May 23, 2026. I've lived in Texas my whole life and knows it gets hot here but to have it 85+ in your home is miserable, sticky, sweaty, you name it. While trying to work with my insurance who really let me down when it came to their decision, they continued working behind the scenes, Comfort Techs came through 100%. They worked with their suppliers to get our units inside and out replaced at no cost to us. My family is forever grateful for all the effort that this company put into getting us back to some normalcy. If you are looking for a company that has Christian beliefs and bends over backwards for customers, this is the Company. 1. Inexperienced technicians 2. Gatekeeper "Johnny" won't allow us to contact owner 3. I spent $30k on 2 new Amana A/C units. The installers took 4 days to install these residential units. 4. Over 14 months I repeatedly had to have service techs cone out, 7 times, to deal with draining issues. 5. After the ceiling "caved in", I found out that they had installed the drip pans so that the lowest end was opposite the drain. For 14 months and 7 trips not one technician noticed this issue. For 14 months my attic insulation was being dripped on. Each service call cost $89 for a total of $623. With not 1 technician noticing a drip pan tilted away from the drain and filled with water. 5. When I learned of this dripping problem, I repeatedly requested that the drain be moved from a 30 ft span to a much easier 8 ft length, and that a 2 in pipe be used for the new drain. 6. Instead of fixing the drip pan, Johnny interpreted my request to be fixing the drain on the condenser with a 3/4 in pipe and to charge me another $900. 7. Never did they offer to fix my ceiling. 8. Repeatedly I have asked to talk with the owner. Each time Johnny has either said he's unavailable or he'll make an appointment in which the owner never calls. 9. Repeatedly I have sent email requests through their website which are never answered. 10. Even with a 4 hour "window" techs rarely managed to arrive during the allotted period. Never did they call to say they'd be late, if they even managed to show up at all. read more

We reached out to Comfort Techs for an inspection on our AC unit. We were having leaking through our AC's secondary condensation line. We had reached out on a Friday night at 7pm and explained to Johnny (the man who answered the phone for me) what was happening and he explained why we are having drainage from that line. He also gave me some tips on how to clear the line, how to maintain it going forward and offered to come take a look at the unit/drain lines for me next day. Although he offered to come help the next morning, I told them it was something that we felt could wait and made arrangements for Monday morning. he explained to me that he was going to have another tech come out. Monday morning came and we were serviced by Isidro. Side note: they email you the tech's information along with ID so you know who is coming over to your house AND he offered to put on booties/take off shoes at the door, which I GREATLY appreciated. While inspecting the unit, Isidro walked me though everything they were looking at and what they look for. I've never had an AC unit before, so I didn't know that mold can accumulate, lines can rust ect. they didn't try to up sale me anything and they were so transparent with me. after they left i noticed my unit was not turning on. I reached back out and they sent someone over the same day. We some how flipped the breaker before they came and didn't notice that it was off until after they left. user error. Since they came back out they offered to service the unit and it ended up needing a little bit of Freon but that's all! Not too bad for being an almost 10 yr old unit! I would call them going forward and will recommend them to anyone! read more
