I retired from military after 20 years & also from the post office in Dayton. Kings table became my hang out for approximately 4 -5 years , almost every day , for about 4 hours a day. to practice my bank pool game . I think I mastered bank pool & now have moved onto the game of 10 ball. I did not drink alcohol, but that didn't stop Dean & his staff from treating me with the upmost kindness & respect . That whole time I never noticed not one arguement or confrontation with his staff or patrons. I would eat lunch here almost daily . The menu & food was excellent. If you are looking for a lunch spot for yourself or a group ; This is your place . Some of the best sandwiches around. The only reason I quit going here is because I moved out of state . This is one of the best bars in the area to visit. On most nights it's laid back and a great place to stop by and have a few drinks and chat with the friendly bartenders and watch the game, or hang out with friends and play some pool or darts. Some friends introduced my husband and I to this bar (it was their local hang out before they moved to Florida) and it has been our bar of choice for kicking back and hanging out since then. This bar scene is pretty low-key, which is great for just having a chill night out with friends. There are several pool tables behind the bar area and some dart boards to the left of it. The beer selection is top-notch- they have a particularly wonderful selection of seasonal beers. If you are ever unsure about which beer to get, just ask the bartenders- they're pretty knowledgeable about the selection and haven't given me or my husband a bad recommendation. They also make great cocktails- not the weak or watered down kind. And their drinks and beers are pretty reasonably priced. Good drinks at a good price, couple with some friends and some rounds of darts = a great night in my book :) read more

Great bar and grill! I used to frequent here regularly 7-8 years ago. I was having a rough Christmas Eve due to some family issues and stopped in for dinner and a few drinks. It may look like a hole in the wall local bar, but since adding about 60 draught craft beers, this is a great place to get your drink on. food is mainly typical bar food, but not bad. Also has great dart and pool areas. read more

Went to eat here for my birthday meal. As a beer lover i loved the beer selection, one of the best I have seen in the Dayton area. The burgers and onion pretals were great. Had to take off 2 stars because we ordered the homemade ice cream sandwich, but it never showed up. My 4 year old daughter had a meltdown after waiting 20 minutes for it to show up. Having to get home to get the kids to bed we found out it was never rang up. That was enough to ruin the experience for us. read more

The beer selection is really impressive! They've got all the popular national craft beer on tap and a bunch of regional and local craft brews rotating through. The food isn't that great and it's definitely a no-frills neighborhood bar but the beer selection makes it worth the visit. read more

Great place to go where you can and will be treated like the king of a dysfunctional semi legitimate republic where the ruler has unlimited authority to order drinks and food depending on availability of servers and only limited by ones personal cash reserves, or in other words a standard bar. What is not standard is the amount of craft beers available and the quality of said beer which truly makes one feel like a king. This establishment has been maintaining a large amount of craft beers long before it was trendy or popular or necessary to compete with other bars. Staff are always friendly and the beer is always cold and if your in need of a hot snack you can always get an order of tots for a dollar. This is actually one of my all time favorite places to go with friends or by myself. The crowd varies from business professional to poor country folks with a healthy mix of active military, everyone always seems friendly and in a good mood, likely because there is no reason not to be. Kings Table, I salute you as an exemplary establishment of its type. read more

I started coming to King's Table years ago when I was a server, it seemed to be a restaurant worker's hangout. But it has become much more popular now and I'm happy for Dean that it's grown. I think they have the best burgers in Dayton, esp. the black and bleu, and they have great nightly specials. I throw on a dart team sponsored by the Table, so I'm usually there on Monday nights, which is $2 beer night... most beers, including imports, are $2. They have a huge beer list, lots of pool tables, and great friendly bartenders. read more

Incredible beer selection, about 50 taps of nothing but craft brews across just about every beer style imaginable. Cajun tater tots and brats on Thursday for $1 each, great place to spend an evening catching up with friends over good drafts. read more

Went in recently Draft beers were too much $5.00 drafts I can go to many other classier bars for that price, makes me wonder what beer costs during a band? No thank-you I heard about the burgers and tots I was not impressed, tots had no speciality, I can make them at home. Too much bread for the 1/3 lb burgers pool and darts were ok. read more

Went for lunch, had the chicken gyro. Flavorless chicken and no table service in the bar area. Was not impressed, simple as that.

Bar food done right! At so many bars, it's evident the food is an afterthought. Not the case here. The burgers are one of my favorites locally. The fresh ciabatta roll and the use of fresh spinach vs. iceberg lettuce really kicks it up a notch. I've seen they get raves about the tots and while I find them good, their onion petals are the star of the show for me. Sweet pieces of onion that have been beer battered, served piping hot with a sauce that tastes like it has a good kick of horseradish. Order a basket for your table- the size can feed about 4 and you won't be disappointed! The Mac and cheese bites are another must try guilty pleasure. Table set up is mostly high tops amid dart boards and pool tables. Service is a bit different than most places as you go to the bar to order everything and it is brought to your table. Very welcoming and friendly staff who are knowledgable about their extensive beer offer. Easy to see why this unassuming place has so many regulars. read more

food is good. a pretty cool place to kick it. its relaxed and not too loud....a seriously impressive bottled beer list that is very reasonably priced. must be 100+ choices. didnt get a chance to count them but this place has the best list that i've ever seen. Like this place for the most part. Good food, good drinks, good prices. The people in the place are often college students, so be prepared for a bit of a loud, ruckus crowd. My only complaint is last time i went there with a friend, she ordered a whiskey sour, and they gave her a glass of sour mix with maybe a shot of liquor in it, which was painful to drink. I went up to the bar and asked them to remake it, the bartender told me "that's how its supposed to be. Im not adding any more liquor" I told her calmly the drink wasnt right, and I understand she couldnt add more liquor because of liability and cost, but it needed to be done correctly. She snatched the glass out of my hand, dumped some off the top, added sprite and threw the glass back in front of me, scowling as she walked away. None of my friends, or myself want to go back after that. As a bartender, I understand the job can be stressful, but she was incredibly nasty, despite my best efforts. read more

They have stellar specials and a stellar beer selection. There's really no other place around in which it is even possible to get a meal and a couple decent draft beers for under $10. If you don't get the specials, it will run you about $10-20. I can do it every Wednesday and Thursday here. The staff is friendly and there are LOTS of pool tables and dart boards. This bar recently expanded its draft selection to 40 taps (rumor has it, they're getting a few more soon), and wow, what a great selection! Constantly rotating selections from Dogfish Head, 3 Floyds, Lagunitas, Avery, Great Lakes, and many more of the craft breweries you know and love. My husband and I come here often, and sometimes between a Wednesday and a Saturday, there will be 10 new beers to choose from. The beer flights are a great way to taste the offerings and find a new favorite. Prices are very reasonable (especially on Mondays and during happy hour). Tots and grilled cheese are delish and a perfect accompaniment to your beer (try Asses of Fire hot sauce mixed with ranch as a dipping sauce for your tots). Can't say enough about the knowledgeable and friendly bartenders. If you like pool, there are plenty of tables, and lots of dartboards, too. A very diverse and friendly crowd and I haven't witnessed a single instance of drunken foolery here. read more
