Their normal food is great. No complaints. But the last two times I've ordered chow mein, it's always been the protein and veggies. This last time I got rice. (Not the first time.) Good Americanized Chinese food. Hard to get them to not waste unrecyclable condiment packages, Styrofoam, and plastic, but all the take out Chinese places are like that. I needed Chinese food this week. It was a craving coming from the depths of my soul. Quite a few folks in our area recommended King's Wok in Hartland. It is very near our home and known for being fast, so it seemed like the perfect choice.  As promised, our food was all ready to go in 15-20 minutes and was piping hot! We kicked off the meal with some veggie egg rolls. These were small, spring roll style egg rolls, not the Uber-thick, greasy beasts of old. They were fried to a light golden brown for a perfectly flakey bundle of veg. My only regret was ordering only one for each of us. I'd definitely recommend two per person if you want a good size pre-meal indulgence. For entrées, I got my very standard favorite, chicken broccoli and my husband got General Tso's. Both were the comforting classics we were longing for. The GT chicken was fried with a really light, airy batter. The sauce was a bit sweeter than I'm accustomed to, but delicious nonetheless. The chicken broccoli had a rich, brown sauce, tender meat, and crisp broccoli. Definitely everything I was hoping for and portions generous enough for another meal.  We ordered both white rice and chicken fried rice. Both were fitting carby complements to our entrees. The fried rice needed a little more oomph seasoning wise, but nothing a little soy sauce couldn't improve. We also had a lot of extra rice for the leftovers and a good breakfast. (Don't look at me like that... fried rice totally counts as a breakfast food!) Chinese take-our is never a culinary mind-blowing experience, but it is comforting and familiar. In a year filled with chaos and uncertainty, our experience not only quenched my Asian cuisine craving, it also gave me that cozy, full-belly feeling needed during these crazy times. I work in Lake Country, so my lunch time choices are, to say the least, limited. However, when I tire of the standard burger, burrito and sandwich offerings in the area, Chinese food hits the spot. The restaurant is your standard strip mall joint, with mostly carry-out and a few tables for eating in. I have never dined in, but during lunch time it seems to be a popular choice. Service is fast, especially when calling ahead. A lunch time order is typically a 10 minute wait, so just enough time for me to drive over and pick it up. I usually visit for the lunchtime specials which are a great deal. They run between $5 and $6 dollars and include an entree, rice (white or fried), a crab rangoon and soda or a soup. One great tip I have is to order the lunch specials and bring them home for a cheap, fast dinner, as they re-heat well. My favorite dishes include the chicken with broccoli and chicken in black bean sauce. If your in the area, stop in for lunch or order a meal to go and feed the whole crew for dinner. read more

This is my boss's favorite Chinese takeout place and she introduced it to me very recently. I'm very picky about chop suey (my parents owned a Chinese restuarant), but I like this place a lot. I always order the Kung Bao Chicken, spicy. It usually comes out more of a medium-hot, which is a good level. The food never comes out greasy, which happens a lot at other Chinese restaurants. My boss swears by the Egg Foo Young, but I can't speak to it since I've never had it. I've also enjoyed their hot and spicy soup along with their egg drop soup. I definitely recommend getting takeout for lunch from this place since it always comes out tasty with big portions and it is cheap. read more

This is really decent Chinese and I'm glad it's in the town I live in! I have been to many different Asian restaurants and the quality can be all over the board. King's Wok is always reliable and pretty fast too. The Good: All of your standard Americanized Chinese fare is here. You have the choice of egg rolls, and spring rolls, and some of the better crab rangoons I have had. The soups are good, and the General Tso's is packed into the container. I frequently get an order of General Tso's and an order of Crab Rangoons and it feeds my wife and I to the stuffed stage. The Bad: It's not the best food you can ingest. :) Well you CAN order the steamed broccoli and have the chicken cooked in water... but really, why are you even getting it from here? Indulge a little... get that crispy springroll that crunches between your teeth and leaves just a trace of delicious grease on your lips. The Ugly: It's not really expensive... and then it is. You can go from $14 to $30 in the blink of an eye. Still not bad for take out, but when you find yourself dropping $60 for a family of 4, you may want to rethink your choices... the servings are HUGE! In short, come here, eat here, and enjoy some really good food. read more

Really, really,BAD 1st Impression! 1st time ordering from this place was during a business lunch. I ordered #69 Singapore Chow Mai Fun which is supposed to be spicy and that is NOT what I got. I got lots of bland noodles with very little chicken and veggies that had only been fried in oil. So tasteless! It's as if they didn't use any spices at all because Singapore style is supposed to use curry and it is a mustard yellow color and there was no color to it at all (think plain white noodles). I picked at it during my business lunch and took the rest home to possibly salvage with soy sauce and spices. As I was taking it out of the container, I found a long BLACK HAIR (and I'm blonde)! Ugh, dumped it straight in the trash! Needless to say, I'll never go here again and will veto anytime work wants to order from them. read more

They make delicious food! I'll give them that! I was very excited when I found them because there is no good Chinese food where we live. However they are not very nice. One of the owners I assume is a woman with bangs comes off very snobby. And her son comes off the same way. I will continue eating here because the food is good but I cannot rate it a five star because of their bad attitudes. read more

I've been coming here for years now, the food here is great. The luncheon specials are awesome and reasonably priced. They also hand make their own crabmeat rangoon which are delicious. Usually best to call in for pickup, although they do have online ordering but the interface is basic, like when you order the lunch special online you have to add the soup (which comes with but the site doesn't specify that) which is minor at best. Highly recommend the Kung Bo Chicken and Szechuan Chicken. read more

By far the best food I've had since I've been in WI. I'm in the Army so I move around alot. This is one of the best places I have been to for quality and fresh food. I love their crab rangoon. It's always hot and fresh. It's also the best priced rangoon I've had. I have tried so many things from King's Wok. I love them all. Especially the specials with the egg roll and the fried rice. Great prices on those. Actually their prices all around are pretty inexpensive. You can't go wrong with whatever you may choose. However, if you get anything with chow mein noodles, be aware that they are not your typical thin ones you get at the store. These are thick and possibly homemade. I actually don't order anything that comes with them because of this. I like my thin crispy ones. read more
