In town with my brother and his family, as well as my two daughters, hibachi sounded like a solid option. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told the wait for hibachi would be quite pretty long, so we opted for the non-hibachi menu. I'm not big on sushi, so I chose to get Chinese, which, didn't seem like too much of a stretch given the Chinese lions outside the front doors. To get started I ordered their calamari, which resembled Kopp's onion rings with the texture of Haribo gummy worms that were in a bag "closed" by a three year old and left out for weeks. If you've never experienced that, it means like rubber, and when you try to rip a bite away with your canines, the onion ring coating crumbles all over the place. Nice! After about a 40-45 minute wait later the food arrived. The servings were huge, but that's where the fun ended. I ordered sesame chicken, but what was placed in front of me was hella orange, not only in color but flavor. I informed my waiter that they mistakenly served me orange chicken, but good old David, the waiter, informed me that even though it tasted like orange chicken, in no way could it be because it had sesame seeds on it. Ok cool, throwing sesame seeds on anything doesn't make it sesame. After a few back and forths with David and the manager, they insisted sesame chicken is the same as orange chicken, and general Tso's chicken but with sesame seeds. Hmmm, since I've cooked sesame chicken and general Tso's chicken myself (Made with Lau, look his videos up on YouTube) I knew sesame chicken includes sesame oil, which was not at all present alongside the orange flavor. You would think that makes sense, but good old David let me know that in none of his stints as a Chinese food chef, all across the country, did the sesame chicken recipe call for sesame oil. I wonder where the name came from then, sesame seeds? I can't believe they were so set against being wrong that they would argue there is no sesame oil in sesame chicken, and presumably that sesame chicken should taste like orange chicken, minus the orange zest. If you decide to visit Asiana, heed my warning and stay away from the Chinese food. Don't be fooled by the inclusion of the Chinese lions, and stick to the Japanese theme, since my brother did enjoy his sushi. 2 stars only because the rest of the group had decent meals. Just avoid any Chinese chicken dish. read more

Do sushi here. We came in for a birthday, and ordered a ton of sushi, apps, and chicken lo mein/fried rice. The cooked food was very underwhelming - the lo mein was sewery and the rice a bit dry. Apps were ok but nothing special. The sushi however was pretty good. Especially the simpler rolls - like sweet potato, tempura shrimp, toro, and daikon. The hand roll was also good but falls apart very easily. Service was just ok as well., started out pretty slow but was better towards the end. Note: we didn't do hibachi, and that seems very popular here so maybe that's the way to go! read more

We had so much fun at Asiana! We all got different types of hibachi, I got the veggie and tofu, my friends got salmon and one got steak. Our waitress was super attentive always checking in with us. Our chef was very fun and I forgot how hibachi is a whole performance almost. Also the food was bomb, so good and savory! The restaurant is huge with lots of decorations. read more

This restaurant desperately needs a makeover. The sushi here is quite tasty and I have been a long time customer here. The service is typically good and doesn't have any issues. However the inside is dirty and strange. Not sure the aesthetic purpose of an entire plastic tree in the middle of the restaurant. The ceiling is smoke covered and dirty. The booths are old, worn, and off balanced. A few tweaks on the interior here and I think it could really turn the place around. read more

Asiana is a nice place to stop for a casual or business lunch. The staff are nice, though they do need some requesting if you're running low on drinks or need anything else. The menu is vast, and you can choose from hibachi, Chinese, Thai, or sushi dishes. A warning - a side of chicken fried rice is an entree on its own. But the sushi is great, and the options are varied and cost friendly. read more

Stopped by Asiana with a large group, and I was impressed by our waitress handling our orders and checking in every couple of minutes. The Green Bay Packer roll was delicious and we enjoyed the sesame chicken and General Tso's chicken. We asked for spice on the general tso's and it wasn't spicy at all, so that was a bit of a bummer. Good bar area to hangout at as you're waiting for your group or to be seated. Lots of parking available outside. read more

After a fantastic experience, I'm shocked I've never been to this place before. The ambiance is great (It has a PF Chang's vibe while still being a local restaurant, which is impressive. Chain restaurants be damned! It looks like no expense sparred to make the interior impressive. It feels like a restaurant that should be downtown and not in a suburb, albeit a nice one). The hibachi was entertaining and delicious. We had the chicken and shrimp combo and ordered a Sushimi appetizer and a bottle of wine, as well. We will definitely be back. read more

The restaurant was far better several years ago. The salad was iceberg lettuce and 1 slice of tomato and a bit of dressing. Nothing else. The clear mushroom soup was terrible and tasted only of salt and a weird chemical flavor. The cook lost control of his spatula and nearly hit a gues next to us with it. Sauce was everywhere from mistakes. I had a combo of shrimp & salmon. The shrimp were pure salt & like leather in texture. The salmon was broken up before it hit my plate due to poor handling. There was so much salt from all the sauce that it killed most if the available flavors. My wife had steak and chicken and both were cooked well but all the sauce added to the vegetables still made for way too much salt that completely over powered the meal. Our 2 meals + 2 Pepsi's+ tip (20%) cane to $85 & change. Thats an awful lot of cash for a poor show and food that was no better than Asian fast food. We probably won't be back read more

We come here for family dinner often. I've had better, I've had worse. I just don't think it's anything special. Food is decent, fairly priced for the most part. The waitress we had yesterday kept cutting us off while we were trying to order... that was annoying. I'm sure we will be back because of convenience. read more

The good: The miso soup was delicious. The salad dressing was yummy. The salmon teriyaki was edible. The bad: The volcano chicken is not true volcano chicken. If you want volcano chicken, go to King & I, Mekong Cafe, Emperor of China, etc. The white tuna roll was 8.50 for the smallest pieces of tuna I've ever been served (I eat a lot of sushi). The ugly: The restaurant itself is filthy. Just look at the pictures. No words necessary. The manager did take the volcano chicken off the bill but was not apologetic whatsoever. She tried to tell us that every restaurant has their own volcano chicken sauce and we just weren't familiar with their version. No, Ma'am. Your version seems store bought and terrible. Worse than a mall's food court. They need to borrow anyone else's recipe because theirs is absolutely an embarrassment to the Thai culture. Would not recommend. I had the pad Thai, and it was not like any pad Thai I've had before. Terrible. Totally lacking in authentic flavor and covered up with a strange "spicy" sauce. Like Noodles and Company does a better job. Also had a sushi roll. It looked and tasted okay, but not super fresh. Our server was really nice but really slow. Overall, I would probably not return or if I did, I'd go for the hibachi which seemed to look like a better meal. read more

Visiting in-laws from the DC metro and ordered take out from here as recommended by family living in Pewaukee. I was disappointed with the rather expensive Chinese takeout and the service was pretty terrible. I waited 25 minutes after confirming my order when placing for pick up and the host/waitress was short, as if I purposefully inconvenienced her. Definitely wouldn't recommend and won't bother going here again. read more

Asiana is in my regular rotation simply because they are usually pretty consistent. I have never done the hibachi tables so I can't speak to that side of the restaurant but I do eat here frequently. They are somewhat Covid compliant during the week. The booths have high walls behind them but they'll seat people behind you. It's never really busy in there during the week though. Food is on the better side of average. Sushi is decent for the price point. Entrees are HUGE. We made the mistake of ordering two entrees once between the two of us and we were stuffed to the brim. My favorite items are the Singapore noodles, walnut shrimp and the Outstanding sushi roll. Would recommend any of those dishes. Service is usually pretty good and they're fairly fast during the week. So this is a go-to spot for us when we get stuck at the office late or are in the area. Parking is plenty and they're right off the highway/capital so it's easy to get to. Only caution is to plug your nose when going into the women's restroom. Always smells like raw sewage in there. Otherwise the experiences have always been pleasant for me. read more

They don't care about their customers. Went there last night for a birthday dinner & Mother's Day. We have gone to Asiana's for numerous special occasions, Birthdays, & Christmas Day. Usually had a good experience. However, last night, I felt like our group of 8 wasn't important to them. I understand that it was a busy night. We made reservations, so I would have thought that we would have had better seating. I felt like our group was scrunched down the side and the other "walk-In" had the premium seats. Now to let's talk about the food. We ordered Sushi rolls for an appetizer. Didn't receive them until we were almost done with the main course. The excuse was that there is only one chef preparing the rolls. Maybe hire another chef for the busier holidays? Also, when someone orders Filet Mignon @ $36. They expect to receive a descent cut of meat. (NOT FAT). A 10% discount was a slap in the face. The portions were 1/3 of what they normally were and for 5 people our bill was 250. Our server was no where to be found and we didn't receive water with our meal. When asked for doggie bags, she put them at the other end of the table, and we had to ask the other guests to hand them to us. Never came and told us the status of the Sushi rolls. The chef must have been new. The only exciting thing was the beginning when he started the hibachi with the flames. Only offered one broccoli, if you missed it . . . too bad. Didn't offer "Water" to the under aged kids to replace the Saki. Us down the side - didn't even bother. The onion tower - up in flames. That was about it for the show! Asked to talk to the manager - NOPE. They sent someone else out to talk to us. All the excuses in the book will not make us want to come back. read more

The place was empty on a Saturday night and now know why. The portions were 1/3 of what they normally were and for 5 people our bill was 300. Our server was no where to be found and never received a glass of water till the hibachi chef yelled for someone to find her. When the tip is automatically included don't expect much. No issues with paying that amount but give people what it's worth and don't skimp. read more

This was my first dining experience here for the hibachi style grill. Our server was super nice and handled everything smoothly. The Hibachi experience was entertaining as always and the food was decent. The hibachi chef makes the food right in front of you while adding in some entertainment. The food portions are large and make for great leftovers. If you never experienced a hibachi style grill, I recommend trying it at least once. read more

I'm always leery of places that have a menu that has several different Asian cuisines featured. How can they be good if they are trying to specialize in so many different cuisines? Being new to the area we are working our way through the list of restaurants around Pewaukee and surrounding areas. Prior to this we lived downtown and had so many options for Asian cuisine and I definitely am missing all the choices I had. Asiana is massive inside. There is a huge bar, then the hibachi grill area and finally the dining area. We chose the dining room. The meal started off on a decent note. Their hot and sour soup was probably some of the best I have had. Next we tried their roll of the day, Ocean Sundae. The roll was tasty, but was cut very unevenly. Some pieces were huge and then others were super tiny. Dinner is where it started to go south. We had the Kung Pao Chicken and the Szechaun Chicken. The portions were pretty large, but just tasted weird and lacked flavor. The chicken was cut into strange pieces that were connected (not uniform and long pieces). The King Pao had this gloopy sauce and hardly any vegetables. I do have to say their rice was cooked perfectly for the roll and our dishes. I would say do not order the Chinese dishes and maybe stick more with the Japanese cuisine. As another reviewer said, we've had better and we've had worse. I started with a spicy tuna roll this wasn't good. The rice was very dry, the tuna was ground up into almost a paste, and there was no spice at all. My husband ordered the broccoli beef and thought it was fine. It wasn't very hot but the beef was tender and the broccoli was the right amount of tender and crisp. I had the shrimp pad Thai. The shrimp were very large and cooked perfectly. The noodles were fine overall, if a bit gummy. I requested medium spice and there was hardly any spice at all. My husband who cannot eat spicy food could have eaten this without a problem. The portions are enormous - there is plenty for a second meal. A negative, for us, is the open hibachi area next to the dining room. It was SO loud that at times it was hard to have a conversation. Between the chefs doing their cooking performance, the drum, and a really rowdy group of men that continuously yelled things (some of which were rather racist), I left with a headache. We may be back someday but with so many places to try it may be a while before we circle back to Asiana. read more

Used to be fun. Now more like an assembly line. Our hibachi cook just going through the motion. Used 5 eggs for 9 servings of rice. Rice was awful - Three of us Got the seafood seafood special. Scallops were so fishy - they did take them off the bill but the food was so doused in soy sauce and nothing else it was inedible. Automatic gratuity which is fine but service could have been better. My bill was 75 with tax too for some chicken, five shrimp, overcooked lobster tail and after the scallops were refunded for two! Won't be back. We should have gone somewhere else when we saw the sign at the entrance that pretty much said "we don't want to hear you complain about our poor service." Food was fine at best - could tell the orange chicken was probably reheated from frozen and the curry sauce was a watered down, pre made purchase. The restaurant is huge and is divided into 2 part, one area serving hibachi and another area for sushi and entree. The server was very attentive to us as well. I have come here a few times before and enjoyed it. Its a unique place has a water area you can look at with fish and dolphin statue. Place is large for distancing and space. The food is pretty good. I get a bento box it has your main entree, soup or salad, rice, a few pieces each of sashimi and California sushi roll. They also have an area you can enjoy a hibachi dinner and cook does a little show while cooking its fun and cute for groups. They have small rooms to sit in more private and you sit on either bench type or on a pillow. It never looks open but it is for lunch then closes maybe at 2 or 230 then opens for supper. Sushi was NOT fresh!! and Tempura was soggy and tasted terrible. ....looked like leftovers forgotten in refrigerator for over a week! Other than first bite, we did not eat these items. I politely raised concerns to manager who did not adjust bill and said "we make food same way every day". HORRIBLE service - had to get up several times to get utensils, get napkins, ask for water glass refill, and finally ask for someone to find our waitress to get the check Floor area was dirty, needed a good vacuum. Bathroom dirty and automatic sink and towel dispensers not working. Automatically charged 18% service fee - normally I tip 20-25%, but this deserved nothing. The 2 or 3 roll lunch special is awesome. I get the 3 rolls, and always have enough left for dinner. I would recommend the Chicken and Shrimp Tempura rolls, if you new to sushi, or aren't a big fan of the raw fish selections. This is the third birthday we've celebrated here and they are all great, delicious, and fun! We always do the Hibachi and the chefs are incredible! I ordered the filet Mignon and everyone else did filet and shrimp combo. It was all incredible and the service was top notch. read more

This place has improved so much. Table of 10 a couple weeks ago and the performance was so great that we really left a large tip. Every meal was excellent. Best Asian in the County. Volcano chicken, Garlic chicken and the rolls will not disappoint. I haven't quite figured out the bar.
