Haven't met a dish here yet that I don't like! This place is huge for takeaway, which is the only way we've ordered before. Always wildly busy pick up line, but their team takes care of everyone quick. We ordered and picked up within 20 min this last time around. Mooshu Pork, Crab Rangoons, Sesame Chicken, and Mongolian Beef were our picks. I think the Mooshu Pork might have been my favorite but they were all so flavorful, and came in massive portions. The food is absolutely amazing! One of two Chinese restaurants that I rank higher than any others I've ever been to. The service here is fantastic. It's fast and attentive and the place is very clean, too. The giant fish tank is a fun ambient touch, as the large fish swim so peacefully. I've been coming here from long ago, when it was by The Chancery. Time to review the newer place. Are the egg rolls worth the hype? Ab- so- f'n-lootely!! Just look at my photo! The owners were so nice that they let us sit down to eat our food because usually they only have dine in for lunch time. They made sure we had a nice place to sit at bar and both dishes with the veggie egg rolls were delicious too! I really enjoyed my experience eating all that hot and fresh ingredient cuisines with beef stir fry and Singapore curry noodles! They even gave us some left over fresh sesame orange chicken for free. Personal favorites were the Mongolian beef & the steamed dumplings (which are huge) but as we were a large party I was also able to sample other favorites like the BBQ Pork pan fried noodles, sweet & sour chicken, and seczhuan chicken. This place continues to deliver! A no frills, best Chinese food I've ever had gem on the Northshore. The staff is always friendly on the phone and push orders out in a very reasonable timeframe. Pickup is straightforward and easy. I think at one point they were a dine-in restaurant, but I believe they're only pickup now so I can't comment on ambience. Some family favorites - pineapple fried rice (the Chinese sausage is so good!), barbecue pork with pan fried noodles (a deceiving name because the barbecue is SO subtle and just adds an amazing flavor, they must just sauté the noodles in it lightly) and the EGG ROLLS!! Never have I ever had a bigger, more stuffed egg roll than these! One egg roll per person is plenty, and if you don't care for too much fried food you could even get away with splitting. Hong Anh is by far the best Chinese food in the area. I'm consistently impressed with the quality of the food. I went today and on recommendation from another Yelper got the BBQ Pork Pan Fried Noodles, they were so good! I might add a little spice when I go in for my leftovers though. We're so lucky to live in an area with so many wonderful Chinese restaurants. Yen Ching to the West, Jing's downtown, and Hong Anh Palace to the north! With the lunch buffet and regular menu, there's something for everyone in your party here, too. While I would have preferred an online ordering option in the Age of Coronavirus, the phone order was relatively painless and my food was ready in exactly the time that I was told over the phone. There was plenty of room for social distancing in the front area, and hand sanitizer was readily available in the vestibule. The staff were rather heroic over Xmas weekend (2021), a notoriously popular time for U.S. Jews to eat Asian food and go to the movies (for more on the history of this American tradition, see https://www.vox.com/the-goods/2018/12/21/18151903/history-jews-chinese-food-christmas-kosher-american). Still, I have never witnessed such a valiant effort by any one restaurant to accommodate so many takeout orders! We couldn't get through on the phone around 4:30pm or make an online order, so we drove over. It was super busy and all for takeout. At 5:15, we decided to place an order despite the wait-- the restaurant said it wouldn't be ready until about 8:15pm(!) and they had 100 orders within that time span. We took the gamble and returned at 8:15. The place was even more packed! We learned that some folks had place orders on the 23rd and some were still driving over from half an hour away. Popular place. Our food was actually ready around 8:30, and let me tell you it was worth the wait. This is is not harried, hurried, cutting the corners operation. The food was hot, cooked evenly, and look at all the fresh flavors! We ordered a very orangey orange chicken (not syrupy), cashew chicken (oh my goodness, the celery pieces were so good), chicken with snowpeas (crisp snap and wonderful white sauce), and gigantic egg rolls (so many vegetables!). I'm just so impressed by the quality that came through when the place was so burdened. I will assuredly keep this on the menu for my interfaith family's holiday traditions in future years...and place my order on Xmas Eve Eve. read more

First off I have to give credit to Michael S. for his review and pictures that turned me on to this place, the egg roll looked like the old school full size good one. Wow the lot was completely full which was a good sign and when I walked in the bar was full, the dining room was full and the waiting area was full and people are still walking in. My plan changed to carry out after watching how popular this places is, I guess the buffet for $9 on Saturday really packs them in. The buffet is $9 on Saturday, $8.50 on Friday and $8 all other days I was told. I'm not into buffets so I would spend twice as much on my carry out because I wanted something different from the menu. The restaurant menu is way different from the online menu so I will post pictures. The beef with broccoli was what I wanted with a couple egg rolls. WOW the egg roll was a full size one that has mostly disappeared from Asian restaurants. My egg roll was the pork and shrimp which was better than most and filled nicely, not the all cabbage and good. A good full sized egg roll is hard to find and I can think of a couple other places only to get one. The beef and broccoli was also pretty good with plenty of veggies and beef in a light sauce that was not the sweet style that I'm not a big fan of. The light sauce was perfect because you could taste every individual item in the dish. The beef had a noticeable good beef flavor to it was my first thought, my second was how the veggies had crunch left in them just how I like them and not cooked to mush. The beef and broccoli also had bamboo, carrots, mushrooms and green onion which you could taste all of them in that light brown sauce. I liked how they don't skimp on anything like some places because the meat ratio vs veggies was perfect almost over meaty. Ok for the best part of my lunch take out was the little package that had two almond cookies in it, that's old school and most all Asian places don't do this anymore so that was a very nice touch. Ok I can see why they were so busy because they are better than most Asian places that I have been to. If the very reasonable buffet is as good and it probably is judging by the full house and non stop people than this is a must stop for a meal. read more

I really think this place is too expensive. The food is good but it's not fabulous. They are able to get away with they're prices because of exclusivity. They are the only edible Chinese restaurant in Mequon. Sometimes, they aren't that accommodating why they know they never it easy I called in an offer for plain rice. When I arrived to pick it up, the young man would not allow me to use a visa gift card to purchase it. He wanted cash. Iv was willing to buy 2 containers if it made a difference, he still said no. I live in Mequon and have ordered here before so I don't know what happened. I ended up driving off because I don't carry cash anymore. Most places won't take cash in Mequon! People, in Mequon, rave about this place but I don't see it. Its just regular food. Over never had anything here that In thought was fabulous! Even when they had regular sit down service, I thought it was "meh." You also have to be careful here, they out peanuts in many of the vegetarian dishes (i. e. Veggie egg rolls). A plus -- Except for that one time, they are usually extremely friendly. That's something that keeps many people returning. I noticed they seem to know many of their customers but name. I like that touch! In an older community like Mequon, that goes a long way so they get extra points for that!!! read more

This place is great for takeout. The fish tank is great for kids and they sometimes give out glass animals to kids. The people at the counter are nice and will talk to you while you wait. They have mastered the take out business and created a nice ambiance. My suggestion is to get the meat with broccoli meals. Super delicious and filling. Also some great egg rolls. read more
